@Teddi081 I wish I could find a seat that RF up to 55 lbs here in the states, my 4 year old want to be put back to RF but she is 46 lbs and 45 inches tall. right now she is in the Graco natiuls witch 5 point harnesses up to 65 lbs and then is either a backed or backless booster up to 100 lbs. cant find one that RFs to that at all. heck I wouldnt car the price of it either I could re use it with my 5 and a half month old who is only 12lbs when she out grows her infant carrier.
So cute! So glad you took the time to really look into it and turned her back around. Most people do not seem to bother, sadly. Keep up the great work! :)
Our daughter is now rear facing. The info we received originally from the "experts" that we talked to were wrong. Our daughter's feet touch the back seat and we were told to turn her forward. While this seems to be a good reason she is safer rear facing. Thank you to everyone who expressed their concern.
The chest clip looks a bit low, and she would be safer rear facing (that looks like a symphony, which rear faces to 35 lbs) . Try googling "extended rear facing" for more information.
The clip was low during this seating. Our daughter falls into an "odd" height/weight category and actually is safer forward facing.Though she doesn't look it she is past the 1yr.& 20lb. mark. And yes in this particular seat she can be rear facing until 35lbs however her height doesn't allow her to be. Upon research and advice from a couple child safety experts she has to be forward facing.I only went into so much depth here because there have been numerous comments sent to us about this.Thank You!
I don't see how her height would keep her from rear facing(RF), judging from the video? The rule typically is when less than 1 inch of shell is above the head and the child must be turned. There is a 500% increase in safety RF, in an accident it can be the difference between bruises and internal decapitation. Do her legs touch the back of the seat? You can fix legs, and her legs may be at higher risk forward facing anyway. The 12 and 20 rule is sadly outdated. Google Joel's story rear facing.
That is great that you turned her back!

I'm glad you turned her- I wish some of my relatives were as receptive to extended rear-facing as you were!
