One thing i have noticed is letterman and conan sound sincere, its just my opinion, when they speak to the audience (outside of their jokes) its noticable whne they talk about stuff like this. Letterman for example can be funny even when he is admitting an affair, look it up.

NBC kicks TBS ass, TBS is cable for god's sake, still you don't have to be a genious to notice that Jay Leno is an ass, and Conan is a nice guy who got screwed in the most unfair way. Also you don't have to be a genious to know that Conan is far more funnier than Leno. I mean seriously, not saying that Leno isn't funny at all, but still Conan tops him so damn much. Go Conan!

everyone sympathizes with Conan.. but you know what? if Conan had agreed to the 12 o clock show, this wouldn't have happened. Conan AGREED to quit and like Letterman said.. he got a huge chunk of cash: $35 million.

Conan is getting killed in the ratings!!! As of Aug 2011, his ratings have plummeted by 60%, while Leno is #1 again in the ratings.

Where are all those idiots who were saying Conan is gonna kill Leno in the ratings?

@Ifreehat20I It's not just cable. Stewart/Colbert on Comedy Central are pulling 2X better ratings and recently Chelsea Handler on freaking E! is doing better than him. It's not "just cable", perhaps its "just him"

@leafyutube hes on tbs, always a low rated channel. also conan is extremely poplar among the younger crowd and alot of us are college students, so we catch the show online or on dvr, which sadly doesnt count towards ratings. also, hes not a backstabbing douchebag.

Even if he's watched on dvr, that still doesn't explain his ratings plummeted 60%. Face up to it, unless you're a young male, Conan is nothing special.

@leafyutube uhh yes it does dude, tbs is a low rated channel. but to tbs his ratings are just fine. i still wish he wouldve gone to fox. late night with conan o brien was amazing and just as that was starting to shine through on his tonight show, nbc canned him for lame ass leno. oh well its all over now and everyone is happy, so fuck off.

@leafyutube because of all the things i already stated plus, ill admit, its not as good as late night with conan, so maybe that has something to do with it. its still funny, but it feels like its missing that magic that late night had. still prefer it over leno by far. but ferguson is now the best late night show.

I mean, I could understand if he was so-so and he stayed so-so, without changing. That could be the way the ratings are calculated.

But given that Conan DROPPED like a stone from when he started, that cannot be based on the way ratings are calculated, and it looks more likely he's been a dismal failure. That's the reality.
