I'd be really grateful if anybody could please answer this question; my Mac has died on me, and I need a new computer for just for browsing the web and email, and writing a Masters thesis (so I'm reluctant to spend a lot of money on a MacBook). Does anybody think it's possible to write a 15,000-20,000 word thesis on an iPad, using Pages and a Bluetooth keyboard? I know it's would be harder than using a full-screen Mac, but is it possible? Thanks a lot for any advice...

Thanks for making this video. I'm about to start using iPad for my small contracting business to write receipts and proposals. This is great that iWork is available for iPad. What will they think of next?

However if you do not pass this comment to at least 3 videos you will die within 2 days. Now youve started reading this so dont stop. This is so scary put this on at least 5 videos in 143 minutes when youre done press F6 and your lovers name will appear on the screen in big letters. This is so scary cause it actually works" less
@glittershinesonme When you sync to iTunes, you can download files from Pages in the Applications tab. You can then print it or do whatever you'd like with it. You can also use AirPrint from within pages on the iPad.
@glittershinesonme or u can buy a printer thats compatiable with airprint and print wirelessy from ur ipad but u have to go to itunes and get the update 4.3 and buy a airprint printer.
@glittershinesonme You can sync with iTunes, and in the applications tab at the bottom of the page, there's an import screen where you can download created files. This app can also be used with AirPrint.
Instead of scrolling through each file to find the document title i need, is there a search or find button to find the file if i know the title name of it?

Have you ever tried adding more complex word documents? How good does Pages (iPad version) convert word documents? (Colors, charts, special effects with fonts like reflection, table of content, footnotes,...)
I would be greatful, if you could make a video about how good Pages converts them. If you need a complex word document, I could send you one!!

@c00t999 Yes you can. Simply select a document on the main screen, then tap the export icon at the bottom (it's an arrow). Then select e-mail, and an option should pop up for sending as a word document.
Hey, can you export a document to a .doc and then email it to an email account. ie can i send .doc's to email accounts without connecting to a mac\pc first? ?? Thanks gr8 review
@WiiGamePlayer You do not have to have an iWork.com account to transfer files. Although it is very easy with iWork.com, you can export through iTunes. The only thing you have to do is hit the export button at the bottom of the main page and select a file format. Then, go to the apps page in iTunes and it will be there at the bottom.
Hey I'm currently finishing yr11, in uk, do you think the iwork is good enough for my education. I'm looking for a cheap laptop till university to use and I realy like the ipad, but my parents say it needs to be good enough for my education. I'm taking maths, biology and chemistry. Please help as I don't want to buy a ipad that is useless for my education, and use my old pc, and I won't buy a laptop since university.
@dragonslug93 Hey. Glad you're considering iPad for your next computer. It depends on what you're really going to be doing. You DO need to have a computer to sync it to, so it's not completely a standalone product. For features, if you're going to be taking notes in class or typing out papers, this is a great, lightweight option. Plus, you can connect a bluetooth keyboard in case you're writing a novel. The word processing application shown in this video is quite full featured. Hope this helps!
@TheAppstorekid Thanks for the reply. In the end I am going to buy a iPad, as pages seems good enough to write reports when you have a bluetooth keyboard. Thanks for the video.
@pdaly83 Hey. Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you. There is no way to print directly from pages, but I'm sure there's a 3rd party app that can do it.
@sgtshendou Yes you can. When you go to export your document on the main screen, you can select to export as a .doc file. After you do that, you can dock your iPad and go to the apps menu and go to the bottom of the page, you can then import the .doc file from your device. Hope this helps! Give me a buzz if something goes wrong.

WOW nice video, its really nice to see such good information on a vid, the true is you can buy USA iTunes gift cards, many people are looking for USA itunes gift cards, this store provide that to you, they are legit iTunes Gift card store, they deliver to me by email, and Fast, my advise to you :)
@ImINFAM0US Yes. You can download all of the iWork applications from the app store on a PC or Mac for $9.99 each. You can also download them directly to your iPad on the app store there. Just search for iWork.
Great over view of Pages. Would you mind doing a video on the iPad and importing to a Mac? I would like to see how the iPad shows up in iTunes and how doucments get transfered and printed.

OK you can export a document but how do you save a copy? There's no save option. In fact there's not even a "file" option in the menu!
