  • I downloaded a manual for this horn, and it says that this horn is 93 dB in an anechoic chamber, and 85 dB in a reverberant room. That's louder than the standard smoke detector, but most Wheelock and Simplex horns are louder.

  • @MW2fatcats Must be because of the pitch of the horn. It still puzzles me how loud it is compared to my TrueAlerts.

  • @weatherdan882002 All the manuals including the one for the 4901-9822 list the same pitch, so how come this doesn't sound like a TrueAlert? The manual for your 4906-9127 says it's 94 dB when coded. The loudest is the multi-tone horn series. Some of the tones go up to 102 dB.

  • why can't you just put your truealert in continuous and have the panel do the marchtime?

  • @SpecializedChild462 I was referring to my SmartSync TrueAlert. It needs a sync module to operate and all it can do is 60 BPM march time. As for my conventional TrueAlert, it's not 110cd.

  • Sweet! An all simplex setup!

  • Love this setup!

  • Great job!
