No sadly. It is an airsoft pistol. I painted in all the gun effects in photoshop. When you only have five hours to shoot and no blanks, well, it's the best route. I do have some other vids with real guns being used. Check out "The G.I." or "Kill Your Killer" or "The 26th" for that matter. In Kill Your Killer I used a WWII nazi Luger. Didn't really fire it because I didn't have blanks, but The G.I. and The 26th both use real guns and both use blanks! Thanks for the response!
How the heck do you guys make movies like this in such little time? 4 hours?? Overall, this film is dark, sadistic, violent, and leaves a chill up your spine at times. Something a great horror film should have, and you my friend have made another great horror short. This is almost as good if not better as Kill Your Killer. Its a close call.
Making a film in 4 hours...sometimes I wonder how we do it. To be honest with you, especially with The Grindhouse, the movie was made in editing. After watching the dailies, we all had thought that we failed to be honest. I guess its all about being quick and confident! Thanks for the response!!!
Most impressive. I have that same sinking feeling when I watch the dailies. I loved the cinematography. I'm guessing you used actual film, because it'd be hard to achieve that look with DV. Did you use an actual prop gun, or put the muzzle flash in afterward? Whatever it was, it was done realistically. Did you use any lighting? I loved how their eyes were always covered in shadows. Keep up the great work!
This was stupid as shit! U had such a good set-up and a good idea but you killed everyone with a gun! The idea behind the grind house movies is shockly grusome deaths, not gun shots. Why didnt the kid with the axe ever use it?!?
What can I say, I like guns. At least to me, gun deaths seem more brutal and startling than a poorly done decaptitation. Your right though about true grindhouse films. Thanks for watching
I notice you guys use alot of suddle music, to give an eerie feel, and give an atmosphere for the situation. is it self composed, or do ou guys use someone else's? if its someone else's i'd like to know where you can get an eerie choice of music. The subtlty is incredible. thanks byee.
Hi, I shot mine in four hours as well, literally in my backyard. I love all your horror films, particularly The Grindhouse. My favorite part is "I had a date tomorrow!" Its like staying up late to watch horror movies when I was younger. Come check out mine, tell me what yout think. I'm working on my second film at the moment, I might send it to that FFF when its done. Seriously though, I wanted to use "Let's Dance" in a killing scene, but you beat me to the punch. Where do you get your guns?
Thanks everyone for the feedback. The pistol Jikky uses in Grindhouse was an airsoft gun and the luger the Man in Orange uses in Kill Your Killer is an actually Nazi issue Luger from the war. Again, thanks for all the good words. Stay tuned for more stuff in the future.

The teenage pot roast plate and the end credits were a really good grindhouse exploitation. Very well done!

I think the majority of the music is from the movie Cabin Fever, directed by Eli Roth.

wow! that's really impressive for only four hours of shooting.
the acting was really good too.
the only thing is, I think people wouldn't be so calm if their friends were just killed infront of them
awesome movie though!!!
