  • I had this movie on VHS when I was a teenager in 1996. Love it.

  • Am I the only one that thinks Erin from The Office hated this movie and wishes she won the Scrabble game.

  • Paul Trijbits is a wanker

  • if this was made today, it would be full of shitty CGI...

  • @BikiniDeathSquad I agree totally. I love the effects and raw awesomeness of this movie.

  • Great film, much underrated. I did see some things that could have improved it though. Stacey Travis has the best eyes in the business, gorgeous.

  • Awesome movie..!

  • This movie is scary as shit.

  • WOW...HAVEN'T SEEN IT YET...LOOKS GOOD....TERMINATOR-ESC....I LOVE IT!

  • so....NEW WORLD ORDER......

  • This is actually the first "Judge Dredd" movie. The creators were sued by the 2000 AD people and everything. It was based on one of their stories, and they didn't receive credit for it.

  • @undisputedgreatest I liked Judge Dread. Hated the Gay ass looking Harley hoverbikes, but the movie was good.

  • This movie is freaky

  • One of the reason they created the Terminator to stop that robots from killing us

  • "The best science fiction/horror film of the year."

How many years have more than one of those anyway?

  • I watched this for the first time the other day (2011)

I think this movie influenced a few people over the years. The whole desert/post apocalyptic with laid back western sounding music was very reminiscent of the Trigun anime series.

And the radio commentary was very reminiscent Fallout 3, also wasteland based and post apocalyptic themed.

  • This movie has a great atmosphere indeed. Too bad it fails. Hard.

  • I finally got it on DVD and would LOVE to find the soundtrack again. Had it on cassette but, of course, got ruined.

  • great cyberpunk flick.

  • omfg i know that song playing the background.....but i forget what its called. anyone else knows??? I know i'll feel like an ass once i know the title

  • @MrAngelfilth It's "The Order of Death" by Public Image Ltd.

  • Why would they advertise that they got 3 1/2 stars? Wouldn't that just be an OK score?

  • @MMRED Depends whether it's out of 4 or 5 stars!

  • @EdSigma

    Ah, ok.

  • @MMRED the song is Public Image Ltd. - Order Of Death

  • fucking classic

  • This is a good little gem of a movie. I really liked it!

This is a must see film!!!!!

  • fuck i love this movie!

scared the shit outta my little 8yr old sister when i was about 11.

    memories ^^

  • One of the best science fiction movies I have ever see. ! VERY PROFOUND !!!!! And I saw this almost 20 years ago in the movies.

  • Saw this when it was new - a film with guts and hearts. Scary as shit. Unique. And as everyone says - great soundtrack.

  • this scared the shit outa my brother when we were kids he thought when his bedroom was messing all his stuff was going to piece its self together and get him lol

  • U CAN"T STOP PROGRESSS. This is the motto of my career. Love this movie, love the soundtrack. Good times.

  • Flawed but very underrated movie!

Richard Stanley penned a sequel but it never made it to production, the original script is available online.

  • Next to bladerunner this is awesome. I took me a long time to find it and I had to buy it on VHS.

  • one of my favourite films

  • great movie, saw it when it was new, long time ago ;) great soundtrack too

  • I'm big into movies trailers and I've had my faves for several years now but...I really think that this has topped them all. I love this trailer from start to finish, and the music's amazing. I'm already obsessed with this trailer and movie, and I haven't even seen it yet! Really! My brothers bought the movie after I heard of it about a year ago and have desperately wanted to watch it. So we have the movie but I haven't watched it yet, though I want to see it so bad.

  • Finally coming to blu Ray, I saw this at the theatre & bought the soundtrack specifically for P.I.L.'s song The Order of Death. 20 years ago & the song still rocks

  • I saw this in the cinema when it first came out, I'll have to watch it again.

  • Great low budget film,i used to own the VHS.Just ordered the dvd and Dust Devil too.For all the people asking for the soundtrack...have at look at megaupload,it's there. This is what you want, this is what you get

  • This movie ranks right up there with 'A boy and his dog' and 'The road warrior' as one of the best post apocyleps films ever. Plus it has Lemmy and Iggy pop.

  • @eddygreen1 You're forgetting Carl McCoy.

  • liked this film when it came out and to think parts of it were filmed around manchester. Only footnote I would like to add is that the story was 'lifted' from a 2000AD future shock story - about a killer robot in a woman's apartment. That said, the film is worth checking out.

  • I love this movie but does anyone know of a trailer without the cheesy voice-over?

  • Imagine Hardware the book...what a scream.

  • @WHITEYBHOY2 rip off of what?

  • Shit movie I regret wasting my time watching it.

  • Okay, got the DVD... watched it as soon as I got home... soundtrack rocks.... I think they were a little lacking in the extras, but whatever!

  • this movie is epic! *pik* =)

  • kool movie

  • there making a secound one

  • Hardware two?!

  • It just came out on DVD! I need this movie soooo badly! (I saw it on late night TV many many years ago, and have been anxiously waiting for it!)

  • Great film but I still think that the Terminator is better.

  • This movie had a GREAT soundtrack. Although I never understood the scene that the band GWAR was playing on the tv in the background but MINISTRY is the song in the scene. oh well good stuff!

  • The story take place in the Judge Dredd universe

  • 2000AD? I didn't know that. I only know this was British sci-fi.

  • I remember when the first time I saw this movie on vhs video in early 1991(about half ayear later from theatre release).I thought at first it was a sequel to,"The Terminator"('84),movie.Afew months later during that summer, "Terminator 2:Judgement Day" was release in theatres(Back then,to see movie trailers coming soon, people had to go to the movies or rent on vhs).

  • Wait for the sequel...........SOFTWARE.....and then...........REAL, REAL, SOFTWARE and then the ultimate..........SOGGYWARE. It will never stop until all mankind is SOGGY!!!!!!! WHOOO WHEEE!!!

  • How about FIRMWARE UPDATE 2.0.

As for this.you know how some films are BAD in a GOOD kind of way and some are GOOD in a BAD kind of way, this was CRAP in a CRAP kind of way. Honestly this film seriously sucked and blew huge quantities of arse. I glad I didn't see the trailer before watching this at the cinema, the disappointment would have been unbearable. Avoid this film as you'd avoid a napalm enema.

  • I saw this movie a long time ago when I was getting HBO for free. Watching this should have been enough to get paid to watch.

    Napalm enema, no doubt.

  • cool trailer! the soundtrack to the trailer sounds like a slowed down version of "Alice" by the Sisters of Mercy.

  • It's "The Order of Death" by PiL.

  • thanks man, i didnt think it was "Alice" i just thought it sounded similar in my opinion.

  • can't wait for the Two-Disc Edition in September

already got a used copy of the 5-Disc Edition of Dust Devil in the mail two days ago

  • Cool music...cool visuals...cool cameos from cool rockstars...a really cool movie!

  • This is what you want, this is what you get

  • This movie is the shit! To all the Hardware fans out there: Keep walking that wipperly wopperly walk.

  • It's finally coming out on DVD and Blu in UK on22/06/09. Halleluja.

  • @fatfreddiescat coool I did not know that, thinks

  • I saw this in the theater when it first came out. It was GREAT ! Have on DVD & VHS now.

  • wow, actually seen this at the theater at 16 years of age.long time ago..wierd.

  • I loved this movie, I had the sountrack on cassette LOL! I need to rent the movie if it is even availble, or buy it

  • I always remembered loving that tune at the end of this film. I totally forgot how it went until now. Not to mention it was a badass film for its day. Thank god for youtube. This is what you want...this is what you get.

  • This movie is underrated. It rocks.

  • Hey, does anyone know whatever happened to Stacey Travis in this movie? I thought she was great, but then I never heard about her again. What's up?

  • wasn't she the nymphette that joe pesci was dating in The Super. I think she was only in 1 scene though.

  • The film is based on a short story set in the Judge Dredd comic strip universe (though he doesn't appear in the story) called SHOK!, originally published in a 2000AD annual in the late 70's.

  • This is my #1 favorite movie of all time. You just can't beat this! KICKS ASS (even decades later)

  • ops sorry i accidentally pressed spam sorry ;_;

  • Just saw it, and i loved it. I love Iggy Pop as Angry Bob!

  • Does anyone have a list of the songs on the soundtrack? Cool Movie!

  • Haven't seen this movie in ages, think im going to check amazon for a Special edition dvd now :D thnak's for posting this.

  • This film blew me away! I'vo only ever seen it on satellite tv though. Where can I find this on dvd?

  • more hardkore than Terminator!

  • this movie is fucking awesome.

    It's one of my favs.

And its possible seeing carl mccoy, lemmy and listen to ministry, great cast and ost.

wish I were in 89/90 again.

  • My wish too. In terms of great SciFi/music/movies. Hated the school years back then though. If only for "those" movies I'd sit on that chair again, damn.

  • Great Film, Great Soundtrack Perfect Sci Fi

  • the soundstrack was hard to find, but completely worth the effort (this was in a time before internet proliferation)

  • this is what you want.. this is what you get...

  • One of the best Sci-Fi films ever made, it depicts a haunting, bleak future through the everyday life of the characters who by the way are truly three dimensional. Add to this a brilliant soundtrack and you've got yourself a cult classic.

  • Great B-movie...Kind of a "Terminator" knock-off but I liked it. One to add to your sci-fi collection for sure.

  • Pure 90's grunge/punk sci-fi, having bands like Ministry and iggi pop on really give it that post apocalyptic feel, i haven't seen this movie in about 10 years and it takes me back to a time when sci-fi was cool..

  • Word! Yesss... back then they were really cool. A bit cheap but so moody. Miss those days but I started to search for most of those movies. Most that come to mind that is.
