TIEBREAKER: Good hip-hop exists but there is a crapload of shitty hip-hop as well. Would you judge rock music based on the Jonas Brothers or Linkin Park? An entire genre of music can't be bad. It's just not possible.

A lot of hip hop is shit, but thats the same with every genre. Doesnt mean there aren't good hip hop groups out there.

And Kurt Cobain was a fan of hip-hop as well, listed a Public Enemy record as one of his top-50 favorite albums of all time, and said that hip-hop was one of the last "true" forms of music. I barely listen to hip-hop and definitely prefer rock n' roll, but not every rapper sounds like Soulja Boy. But if you really have heard a lot of rap music besides what's on the radio, then you're entitled to your opinion. Just helpin' out. :-)
