ya i think that on marimba two part they should keep four mallets in there hands cause the transitions are hard as is and grabbing to mallets make is hardder and yeah vibes learn your part
:) i love this! i played this song my senior year in high school for solo and ensemble. We made a first division at state. It was great. I was marimba 1. Good song && good times. Although i feel the performers here needed some improvement. but still good job.
I can't believe this is on here! I'm the marimbist on the far right of the screen. We got a 91 --- a Superior :D The Superiors earned at this festival were Skyline's first. We prepared this in two weeks, so it is a little rough, but we worked our asses off.
Oh, and none of us are percussionists :) All of us but the other marimbist had only been playing four about four months.
Xylo needs to learn his solo. Vibe should have prepared better also to be able to not have to simplify. I also think it should be a little faster. But not bad I guess. Lot's of room for improvement
