What Biblical injunction do you have to announce that you don't consider Bentley a brother? I so rarely reply to people on here, but I do want to make a point: You are limiting this to exclude Paul, and only to the words of Jesus. This is a Marcionian way of handling Scripture. You cannot simply write off a verse by saying, "Well Jesus didn't say it". There is a lot of biblical truth that was not referenced by Jesus, as all of His words are not recorded for us. Apostles, like Paul, also give us Holy Spirit inspired truth, as he did when called out Alexander by name, publicly.

In my estimatmation, your biblical concept is in great error by such a remark. While technically correct and therefore, considered defensible, Jesus said, "if you abide in My Word, then you are truly My disciples and you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free." You don't seem to get that. You have not the capacity to address all biblical truth and Jesus gave us our priority in that statement.
I sincerely hope you don't let your desire to defend yourself move you to dismiss the weight of that last paragraph. This passage of Scripture has been emphasized by the Lord to me numerous times in my life and it's value, I think, cannot be overemphasized. That verse is worthy of much meditation and it holds the key to success in this life and preparation for the one to come. Please Read 2 Thes 2:9,10 regarding lying signs and wonders and 2 Cor 11:14 about Satan becoming an angel of light. Who is discernment for, those appearing evil or those appearing righteous? It most certainly does. Jesus didn't walk around talking about how the Spirit told him to hit people. He preached the Gospel. It is the preaching of the Gospel which brings people to salvation, this is not the Gospel, which is the message of salvation from the wrath of God through faith in Christ. We do not need NEW revelation. God's revelation is summed up in Christ (Heb 1:1-3). God ceased revelation in the 400 silent years, so this is nothing new.
God still sends the Spirit, but the Spirit points to Christ, not to angels and miracles etc. The purpose of miracles in the Bible was never to make people happy, but to verify the message of the Apostles, AND to condemn unbelievers. We now have Scripture and the church now to teach us. Read your Bible more, and listen to vipers less.
Paul was an Apostle, writing Scripture. No new Scripture is being written, God's revelation is complete in the Gospel of Christ found in Scripture. I can trust Paul's accounts, for he wrote God-breathed Scripture, Mr. Bentley's accounts are filled with fanciful stories that have nothing to do with the God of the Bible.

Jesus's disciples DID do more miracles than he, he never promised that EVER disciple would, nor that this was something to continue into perpetuity. Once a prophecy is fulfilled, it does not required ongoing fulfillment. We make disciples of the nations by preaching the gospel to them and baptizing them, not by kicking them in the face.

I didn't ask you to agree or approve Bentley; I challenged you to examine yourself based on God's Holy Word for your uncharitable and unchristian behavior towards someone with whom you disagree. I do want to address one final point: this video is an attempt to use humor to point out bentley's antics in the pulpit. It is meant to open people's eyes to his false teaching. It is not a call to a brother in Christ, as I believe Bentley is no such thing.

If you disagree with my method of doing this, you have your right to do that. However, I think it is incorrect to classify this as one Christian rebuking another (as I do not believe Bentley is a genuine believer) rather it is a warning for genuine believers to watch out for this false teacher.

Fidelity in marriage is a requirement for all people who make a marriage vow. Pointing out other men's sins, not to them, but to others, is gossip and if it's less than wholly accurate, it's slander and if it's in print, it's libel. It's not being circumspect for sure.

I so rarely reply to people on here, but I do want to make a point: You are limiting this to exclude Paul, and only to the words of Jesus. This is a Marcionian way of handling Scripture. You cannot simply write off a verse by saying, "Well Jesus didn't say it". There is a lot of biblical truth that was not referenced by Jesus, as all of His words are not recorded for us. Apostles, like Paul, also give us Holy Spirit inspired truth, as he did when called out Alexander by name, publicly.

Furthermore, the subterfuge and deflection about Alexander is deceitful. Paul didn't violate the Word in reporting the coppersmith's damage done to him. While technically correct and therefore, considered defensible, Jesus said, "if you abide in My Word, then you are truly My disciples and you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free." I sincerely hope you don't let your desire to defend yourself move you to dismiss the weight of that last paragraph. This passage of Scripture has been emphasized by the Lord to me numerous times in my life and it's value, I think, cannot be overemphasized. That verse is worthy of much meditation and it holds the key to success in this life and preparation for the one to come. At the risk of dismissing Matt.7:6, I think the greatest truth to understand is God's valuation of His own integrity.

These clips are being taken out of context. Parts of Todd's messages were cut out of the film so only the seemingly negative was exposed. If you watched the entire message, I'm sure you would find that those people were indeed healed. If they weren't, then I would say, sure Todd is insane. But LOOK AT THE FRUIT which was bore from the acts. That's the difference between Wigglesworth, who dropkicked a baby that was subsequently HEALED, and some fanatical nut acting on flesh. Look at the fruit.

Acually Jesus did use the Bible against the Pharisees and the Saducees. He also did warn against false preachers, and the Bible says that if anyone brings any other Gospel, that you are to beware of that. Jesus said in a lot of cases of healing "....Your faith has made you well". Your soul has to be feed just like your body. Like wise you have to be careful what you feed it. It most certainly does. Jesus didn't walk around talking about how the Spirit told him to hit people. He preached the Gospel. It is the preaching of the Gospel which brings people to salvation, this is not the Gospel, which is the message of salvation from the wrath of God through faith in Christ. We do not need NEW revelation. God's revelation is summed up in Christ (Heb 1:1-3). God ceased revelation in the 400 silent years, so this is nothing new.
God still sends the Spirit, but the Spirit points to Christ, not to angels and miracles etc. The purpose of miracles in the Bible was never to make people happy, but to verify the message of the Apostles, AND to condemn unbelievers. We now have Scripture and the church now to teach us. Read your Bible more, and listen to vipers less.

Paul was an Apostle, writing Scripture. No new Scripture is being written, God's revelation is complete in the Gospel of Christ found in Scripture. I can trust Paul's accounts, for he wrote God-breathed Scripture, Mr. Bentley's accounts are filled with fanciful stories that have nothing to do with the God of the Bible.

Jesus's disciples DID do more miracles than he, he never promised that EVER disciple would, nor that this was something to continue into perpetuity. Once a prophecy is fulfilled, it does not required ongoing fulfillment. We make disciples of the nations by preaching the gospel to them and baptizing them, not by kicking them in the face.
