i've got something to say it may look easy but wont it take ages I mean that took you 2 minutes and the grox have 2400 worlds so that means it will take you around 40 minutes of none stop gaming. and then plus the time of flying to the world maintaining the worlds so that the grox dont take them back so it will take(if your really good) 1 hour.

Uhm? 2*2400=40?! If you need 2 minutes per world, and you have to capture 2400, you'll need 4800 minutes or 80 hours of non- stop gaming. Plus, the guy in this video destroys the city's on the planet. Now I haven't played spore for a while now, but I believe you can capture city's aswell, like in the civalisation stage. If you do it like this, it will also take a hell of a lot colony-incredipacks if you really want to stop the grox from capturing them again..

I Would just shoot Volcanoes or Asteroids at their Cities. Those two tools work as inexpensive weapons. Use them to take out any City of any Empire! :D One hit explosion! Better than the Anti-matter bomb =$300,000. Asteroids and Volcanoes (I think) = $225,000

easy way to get to center of the galaxy...

ingredients:99 planet busters, some terraforming tools, alot of repairs and recharges. fly in and wait till you see a grox planet, zoom in, bust it zoom out (repeat 98 times) by this point you have about 80 recharges left if you got 99 of them to start, zoom in and temporarily make the planet t1, you dont have to stabilize. by this point you have your self a nice little hole in the empire, and can get to the center safely :).

@DJalex133 What i did was just keep moving ignore the grox completely until your at th center of the galaxy, get every type of weapon that can help you and some allies, if you don't want to do this you can destroy or befriend the grox (look around youtube for details)

Here is how I am doing it, granted I cheat but its my game damn it. Infinite staff of life, infinite planet killer bombs, infinite colonization tools. Destroy the grox planets you dont want..use the staff of life on the planets you do want. I never leave a system uncolonized. Im very methodical, i dont dive into different sections at a time..one section..clear it out go to the next one and clear it out.

heres how to do it... use the staff of life on a planet, put down a monolith, then do that on another planet a little further away and command ur new friends to destroy their empire from within!!!!(takes some time b4 they hit space age.)

If you stood like this and shot in hard mode, you would be destroyed, In hard mode you have to shoot and run with either the mega bomb or the anti-matter bomb... go forward, shoot at the right time while still moving and keep moving til the bomb hits then use anti-missile to kill any of the following grox ships, then repeat... or just a terriform tool then anti-missile for the following ships... hard mode is where killing grox becomes a real GRIND!

Another tip to quickly destorying a grox planet, USE YOUR MEGA BOMB!!! Once in a while, you get spared the trouble of actually attacking IF you get WMD(Scientist, Zealot, Colonist 5 or Conquer 5)

And one more thing. If you bored to play one empire, create another one. I have 6 very big empires in the center, so grox do not control the center of the galaxy any more and new-created empires can reach the center safely.

Ok there is another way : Play as agressive creature so you will have more than 11000 health for your spaceship. than you fly co center and clean one little start area. Place monoliths on cleared from grox planets, this will not allow them to recolonize those planets.

Just zoom down low, directly above (practically touching) the town hall, then just one hit with a Justa Bomb and they go boom, no matter how many buildings the colony has. Oh my god i'm stunned to learn that almost noone knows the easiest way to get to the galactic core... you should play Spore untill you got the interstellar drive 5 and the highest health, all you do is stock up on 5 mege packs energy and health. Then try to speed towards the middle, everytime you stand still to look for a way in press the " ~ " button for a handy pauze. That's it. I've used a total of 2 health packs and 2 energy packs to get to the middle.. 0 grox destroyed

Even if you destroy the homeworld they aren't defeated. They just don't have there homeworld anymore.

If you really want to defeate them, I advice you to first befriend them and then buyingout there solar systems. I mean every single one of them.

But that´s just the point. Those bastards desided to have there homeworld besides the centre of the universe. So you have to fly and fight right to there.

If you want to do that, I advice you to save your game before it and backup your savegame. There is a huge change they will destoy you, even if you invest in total defence and attack and have the strongest allies.

@Leto85 You can't befriend them, only be neutral with them. Unless I am mistaken. I tried it one time and only got neutral and they wouldn't like you anymore. Then my auto-fire thing attacked them. It SUCKED. Oh yea, did you know that the Grox are not one of Maxis's creations? I found that weird.

@DjavulTaco I think you are mistaken. Or the game has changed over the months that I haven't play it. There is a way though, to befriend them and when you do, you get a extra card for it. Dancing with the devil, I thought. If you befriend them, you will be animies with the total rest of the universe except the Grox.

Try searching it on Youtube here: Spore, befriending the Grox. It is hard, but it is possible.

You can only buy three solar systems each time, it's taking time for it to happend (with the solar marketing) and the Grox have many solar systems you know. Also while you doing that you getting some signals from your homeworld's location. (Your allies, your colonies and so).

fastest way is to use the cheat to become a zealot then u get a weapon that lets u take over a plaent intantly and then you keep doing that to every single grox planet

And this isn't as easy as buying some terraforming tools and dropping them on the planet, then running to safety. The devices continue working, so at some point the grox will leave whether you stay there or not. It takes a while longer than jumping across planets, but it's a hall of a lot safer & easier. Plus, you don't have to do trial & error stuff.

Fastest Way Is use the staff of life, on a grox planet, and they will die ;), and you can place a monolith on the terraformed planet, and a creature is become space stage, (it needs i bit time) they will your ally :D, command them to attack the grox and you needn't attack them ;)
