my poker 102 course 'gripsed on cash games' goes over what boards are good to continuation bet based on what type of hand you have and what type of opponent you are up against.

In this course i explain how to approach the flop, turn and river. This video is the first in a free introductory package of 8 videos. The more advanced content has already been produced; however, is not available for free.

i would like to hear your views continuation betting frequency and so on after a raise as i think this probably has more impact on intermiediate players stacks than steeling blinds. One thing i would say is that i dont think u mentioned (perhaps its obvious) better to steel blinds or raise with any legitimate hand in late position

I don't know how Mike Caro could come up with such a silly notion, since he's played poker for so long and should know how players like to gamble it up.

Perhaps this notion has some truth to it in limit games where everyone's a pro, but in no-limit, it matters little that the hand began with a couple bucks already in the pot.

Lastly, don't you think people would eventually get bored and loosen up? To think the majority would stick to only AA if there was no ante means you really haven't thunk

Ok, I've got a real problem with Mike Caro's theory, and the one you adopted, that if there were no blinds/ante's, that everyone would wait for aces. This is a terribly innaccurate assessment!!!

#1, many players are focused on stacking up, not winning the blinds. If there were no blinds, even if they knew a raiser would only raise with AA, they would still call if the players stack was deep enough, if they believed they could double up against the player if they flopped a big hand

@aliabideen maybe at the site you play at but the big ones like stars and tilt aren't rigged they generate tens of millions of dollars a year just from rake so they don't even need to. collusion does happen though.
