  • i'd take a bullet for Ron Paul

  • @robertbutler714 If he does become President and the Corporatists hate him as much as they did JFK, you may become a valuable body guard for this man.

Keep it up Ron, your message IS being heard despite the corporate smear campaigns.

  • Ron Paul is the only candidate that can save this country.

  • But to prevent corporatism you need regulations, it won't stop happening just because the government gets smaller. When a company can join other companies to make monopolies, when they can prevent smaller companies to compete with them, when they can compete with other corporations by lowering the wages, basically when they can screw up the economy and the people and get away with it - that's corporatism. And a smaller gov. won't solve all of these problems, that's where I disagree with Ron Paul

  • @TradingTutor Only thew goverment create the corporations and monopolys

the goverment is another monopoly, That is the problem

  • @TradingTutor real solution = free markets

  • @facultad1000 No, free markets lead to monopolies. In a true free market with no anti-trust regulations for example, corporations would make big monopolies to get more profit. Also without environment laws corporations would screw up all the environment.

  • @TradingTutor The only monopolies that ever existed in the United States were government sanctioned, ala AT&T because the government decided to act like (key word act) without a monopoly on communication services, our communications would be bad or something. The only reason ANY corporations have ever had the unfair advantage of monopolizing was because of government support. The government is the only power in the US with a monopoly on FORCE, so marrying that with corporations is bad.

  • @MrTheKatalyst That may be the only pure monopoly that ever existed in US, but I wasn't referring to such extreme monopolies. A monopoly is a situation where a corporation can set the prices and can prevent other corporations from entering the business. This type of monopoly is common in US's economy, because many corporations control a great share of their market. The 500 top companies have been getting more and more market share over the years, which is very harmful to the economy.

  • @TradingTutor And that problem is a direct result of government intervention in the economy. To be fair, Ron Paul isn't completely against government safety nets, he is not looking to abolish Social Security, just reduce it by a large magnitude, but the amount of government involvement in the economy (Usually to benefit certain corporations over others, ie bailouts) is the main reason our "capitalism" has failed. We haven't been a truly Capitalist country for a LONG time.

  • @TradingTutor Also, Monopoly as a rule of thumb is pretty black and white. You either are or you aren't. You can't have "kind of" monopolies, as the definition of a Monopoly is the total ownership and control of a particular Industry. Sure, we have plenty of large corporations that are fairly close, but even those super corporations (Viacom, for example) don't have the ability to completely shut down other competitors, though they have been trying to push legislation to allow them to do so.

  • @MrTheKatalyst The "kind of monopoly" you say that we can't have, is the monopoly economists talk about. And those corporations can have a great influence in price and output of an industry, as well as on competition. Yes they can't completely shut down other competitors, but they can still influence the prices and output in their industry.

I agree that the government and the political system significantly contribute to corporatism, but we can't just say it's only their fault, because it's not.

  • @MrTheKatalyst As for measures, lobbying needs to be prohibited (like it's like in many European countries), Washington insiders should be severely punished, the military complex needs drastic cuts, among other measures, which would reduce significantly the government's size. Then the anti-trust laws need to be changed, because in the current system a few corporations can create oligopolies and have too much power in an industry. These 2 type of measures are important, not just reducing gov.

  • how can capitalism in a free market NOT end up as corporatism? you need socialism to keep capitalism from turning to corporatism. Point blank.

  • @doctorrin Socialism is anti-capitalist, so the two should never be used in relation to eachother. As Ron Paul says over and over, the reason Capitalism goes wrong and turns into Corporatism is a direct cause of the government feeling the need to dip their hands into the economy. The minute the government offers their "assistance" in the economy is the same minute that corporations see the open door to corporatism and the marriage between corporations/government.

  • @MrTheKatalyst Fact is socialism heirchy is this people > govt > market. Capitalism left alone DEPENDS on exploitation. Inequality lies within the definition of the word. In this system there always ends up being a bottom heavy "have-not" population and an oligarchy at the top that controls a majority of goods and services offered to the have nots. Over time capitalism always ends up as corporatism/oligarchy no matter which way u slice it.

  • @doctorrin exactly.

  • Fascism - An ideology in which giant corporations and the government partner up with one another to profiteer from the poor to serve their own interests.

  • See, see, see, Progressives. He's alright with a corporation making an honest living, but there's a difference between that and corporatism. If you want corporate and banker money out of politics, vote Ron Paul. Unlike Obama who's been bankrolled with a 1 BILLION DOLLAR reelection campaign from corporate America, Ron Paul is not. Why do you think the MSM hate him? It's because they live and die by their advertisers. If they don't have banks and corporations buying commercial slots, they're done.

  • This is one of the major reasons why I'm voting for Ron Paul. Obama is full of shit, and he lines his pockets on corporate donations. Fuck him. Ron Paul 2012

  • Nah i disgree, the corporatism is HARD fascism, it just 'sounds' softer because we have not yet met the end consequences of corporatism

    CELEBRITY BLACKOUT !!!

DAMMIT BLACKOUT ALL CELEBS WHO DONT GOT BALLS TO USE THEIR CELEBRITY STATUS TO SUPPORT RON PAUL OR LET THEM SAY WHY THEY DONT SUPPORT HIM AT THE LEAST SO WE KNOW ;)

THEY MADE ENUFF BUCKS OFF US THOSE STINKIN CELEBS AND NOW THEYRE SILENT?

END THE FED OR FEED THE END :(

♥ RON PAUL ♥ RON PAUL ♥ RON PAUL ♥ HE WINS HEARTS NOT JUST VOTES

  • Corporatism is fascism in his opinion.

  • So facisim is right wing and yet I had a mad Ron Paul fan say he is really right wing and facsists, so Ron Paul is a facsist.

  • @RJWooller right wing and left wing are general terms. right wingers both have constitutionalists and fascists

  • I know Ron didn't wanna come off as a doom and gloomer, but, if our current monetary system results in a financial collapse, we could very well see a form of Hitler-like fascism take form..That's the very thing many dictators use as their way in..As we give the government more and more power to take care of us, we're essentially giving them more and more of an ability to oppress us..During a depression, we'd be utterly dependent on big brother..During such a time, a great shift may take place.

  • @itzahazylife you mean what we have now, obama has dictatorship like powers and a cult of personality and weve had fascism for years. the patriot act oppresses us. the only difference is that the majority are completely oblivious to whats going on

  • @d3ltadrive

technically, you are right..corporatism is a type of fascism. but, it's no where near like nazism. We can still speak out in rebellion without being sent to death camps lol..

  • @itzahazylife With a mass population so ignorant the last thing they want to do is start sending people away, that might snap the population out of their coma. They dont need to physically send us away they can do it mentally with the television. I've always said the television was the most efficient dictator the human race has ever had.

  • The interviewer hasn't been to an airport recently?! How can you doubt that the USA and Canada are fascist states?!

  • Karl Marx was the socialist (or left-wing) philosopher who fathered different forms of socialism including communism in Russia, national socialism (nazis) in Germany, fascist socialism in Italy and fascism in Red China.

Socialism is basically dictatorship of the state over individuals. There was no basic difference between Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini and Mao. Ron Paul seeks to free Americans from socialism in order for them to naturally produce happiness & prosperity.

  • @EarthRover mmm, fascism is not socialism. And the "communist" states of the soviet and china weren't socialist, or even communist for that matter. Scandinavia is socialist.

  • @cheezombie Yes, Fascism was/is a branch of Marxist Socialism. Mussolini was another mad disciple of Karl Marx, and he created his own version of Socialism, just like Stalin and Hitler did. Sorry, but the historical record of Mussolini, which is available to all, clearly shows that he was a follower of Karl Marx.

Scandinavia is yet another socialist "democracy" that could not possible protect itself- so capitalist nations have had to protect it from socialist nations like Russia and China.

  • There is no such thing as "soft fascism". Having paramilitary groups running around terrorizing opponents of the government is fascism. There is nothing soft about that. "Soft fascism" is like saying "peaceful violence". Corporatism (state capitalism) isn't fascism. "Fascism with a smiley face" couldn't happen---fascism is based on violence. I used to wrongly call Bush's compassionate conservatism--"fascism with a human face". Bush abused his powers as President but he wasn't a fascist.

  • " be safe" lol.... jeeess I wish him safety too... god bless that man.

  • @BorsBaledwyr I hope you're being sarcastic.

  • @BorsBaledwyr You're a moron. Maybe you'll wake up someday.

  • Lol, burn 1:29

  • thanks for uploading!

    Paul definitely has a point

  • Corporate powers + Gov Powers = Fascism

  • @Pink7895789 While corporatism is a part of the economic regime of fascism it isn't the whole of fascism. I know this might offend leftists as well as rightists but throughout the history of capitalism there has been private influence on government policy. If Obama or Bush were to institute private militias to maintain law and order through terror that would be fascist. It hasn't happened yet.
