Great Job Pierre! I'm haunted with your musical selection. Next project idea: Digital stills of Christina shoppng and eating at all the great places in HK!
I don't live in HK, but I go once a year - this is what I do when I'm there. My camera (Pentax K-7) has a feature where it can take pictures every X seconds.
Relly nice! The music is from Ghost In The Shell, right? Especially the beginning of the music and your pannings remembers me of the movie.. :) For some scenes you should try to add motion blurring, e.g. by post-production or doing longer exporsures. Thx for making my next holiday decision so easy..
The original Ghost in the Shell took place in Hong Kong and there is a wonderful music video sequence that shows the city in it's glory. I was inspired by that.
Wow, this is a delight! The evening scenes of the HK lights playing on the harbor waters are especially cool. I was in HK 22 years ago and it looks like the city's essence is the same, except it is more beautiful than ever. Thanks.
btw what the song?

This is the first HK timelapse ive seen so far where the music actually fits with the atmosphere of the visuals, great job

how long were your exposures?
HKMoo 9 months ago
Each time lapse segment represents about 5 - 8 minutes of real time with one frame exposed every 5 seconds.

The exposures vary depending on the scene, but on the night sequences perhaps 1 or 2 seconds long.

Cheers!

Fantastic demonstration of the K7's capabilities. I notice you threw in the toy car effect - the perfect place to try it!

Yes on the K-7, I used the built in tilt shift filter. It works quite well!
