It was said i this video that critics believed Moretti would make a great career. But he hasn't had a great career, not because he isn't a good actor, but because he acted in bad films and played roles that were not suitable for him. He is a very gifted actor, but unfortunately has not had a great career. He is completely unknown outside Austria. It was Karl Markoviks (Stockinger) who made a great career, he won an Oscar playing the main role in a film that won an oscar in 2010.

That was Christoph Waltz who won an Oscar for playing Hans Landa in Tarantinos "Inglourious Basterds" ;)
Fun Fact: Waltz also had a guest role in Kommissar Rex. I think it's the episode called "Der Puppenmörder" :)
