Gov't subsidies to Green energy such as Solyndra, about 6 Billion a year.
Gov't subsidies to Oli and Gas people er I mean, companies, about 41 Billion a year. Solyndra is a drop in the bucket in the grand picture. The Chairman is a dirty sonofabitch.
This is a frightening insight into how those who are supposed to represent the people abuse their position to enrich themselves. Some important points are raised and the chairman ignores them to protect the people slipping him cash. He deflects by bringing up some Obama BS. Even if Obama were impeached and found guilty of taking bribes it wouldn't have the slightest relevance to the discussion. The chairman basically admits to taking bribes because everyone else takes bribes too. Pathetic.
Seems like the other way around. The chairman comes off like a scumbag and a moron. He basically responds with "How dare you accuse me of taking bribes when those other guys took bribes." It's a morons defense and its irrelevant to the issue at hand. It's how a guilty child defends himself.
just because something creates jobs, does not make it a good idea. ask anyone who used to work with asbestos, if you can find them. it's a good thing we have reps like henry waxman who question these big business projects that could be disastrous for people's health and the environment. in my opinion, ed whitfield got owned. and just a note, guess who donates liberally to whitfield. the koch brothers. there are better ways to create jobs.
As sea level rises to the point where it becomes impossible to continue to be an ostrich regarding global warming and the greenhouse effect caused by the burning of fossil fuels (of which the tar sands are the dirtiest), then it will be clear for all to see once and for all that the Koch Brothers and others who obstruct the adoption of clean energy so that they can continue to profit from fossil fuel use have been wrong and deserve to be listed among the greatest pariahs of human history.
@TheeMikeHoncho and before any of you repulitards spin the arguement to the democrats know i am not the biggest fan of them either. both parties have their issues, but i believe that the republican party as a whole is a whore for the elite.
Some of Pro Keystone people intrigue me. Tell me something. If the oil is going to be shipped out of the country, and it wont decrease the country's dependence on foreign fuels, who stands to benefit from it's operation? We also know that it will not create the amount of jobs it
forecast to create, so I think it is very clear who stands to benefit and it isn't the American people. One more thing what does it have to do with our National Security?
Rep. Whitfield, the chairman of the subcommittee is paid directly by the Koch brothers. He is protecting them. That is the reason for his shocking behavior. The pipeline is a stupid idea. It will be destructive and benefit only the Koch brothers. If you think Waxman is the bad one here, YOU are also one of the bad ones.
@tulcakg So greater energy independance from the middle east and tens of thousands of new jobs does not benefit this country? And who seeks to gain if KXL is rejected? Why Burlington Northern Railroad owned by Obama pal Warren Buffet.
I say give waxman all the rope he needs. he's a fool and it's obvious to all. Let him speak, it only weakens his position. The more he says, the more apparent it is that this administration is desperate to find a scapegoat for what is in store for this nation. This crap only sticks on the air-America types.
@WhitSpurzon These wars are the result of Jesuit interference into countries whose main occupation constitutes undermining any government or leader which they do not want and to place into power a government and leaders who will cooperate with them and their designs. These designs are to culminate the complete and absolute despotic rule of the Vatican and her unholy canon law including the institutionalization of the "mark of our authority", the spurious papal Sunday sabbath.
I second what "SouthTexasPrepper" said! Funny how Waxman doesn't want to address the REAL corruption involving the obama administration and the use of taxpayer money such as Solyndra, SunPower, Nevada Geothermal the many other wastes of taxpayer money while vilifying an energy lifeline like the Keystone Pipeline. Unbelievable! And Waxman? What a whining little dweeb.

If I had to give Congressman Henry Waxman some advice, it would be this, "Be careful about the 'Can of Worms' that You're going to open up! You might not like what you get!" Congressman Henry Waxman is worried about the Keystone XL Pipeline & not Solyndra? Can anyone say "Hypocrite?"
@leahbethm Yeah! go get those ...um... people trying to supply America with jobs and energy? Wait, why would anybody on earth do something like that? Please explain.
The more leftists talk the more I see the fuction of their minds. 40% of the country understands you despite decades of media misinformation and lies, 40% of the country is still naive, and 20% (you) of people are complete whackjobs, brainwashed drones, spineless cowards, backstabbers, and power hungry sociopaths.
Ah... liberal marxists and their demonized patsies... "The Koch Brothers" now taking on all the world's woes from the blamestorming left wing media machine. You could score a full time job with Georgie Soros making the Kock Brothers sound like monsters. Loved this video!
