Far out and solid. We were there for a few days.... purple microdots and sex, .... there were random albino prophets, chipper Stevenage wideboys selling green pills, songs with just one note, Pink Floyd's the Wall showing in a cinema in someones's tent.... Peace Convoy boys torching a smack dealer's BMW and getting him and his mate off the site permantntly... and a really fucking good excuse to fail an A Level Maths exam the following Tuesday. Or Wednesday.

...what i can remember I was 16yrs old+on a shroom/acid /pot bender that lasted 5days solid,lol...there was a car engine converted into an oven,roasting peanuts+then pressing it into the best peanut butter I've ever eaten,,,think peanut butter sandwiches were 15p..lol kept us alive! I saw a tent with a sign outside "Free Aural Sex"...i stepped in curious+a man sat cross lagged on a rug "aurally" talking dirty into victims ears...i was on a purple mic...i sat down on the rug ..lol...happy DAZE

83... one of the best....I remember I did opiated black hotknives for a quid within two minutes of arriving in site... wow! The LOVE vibe was amazing that year, just radiant, yeah for Woody and yeah for Where's Wally! and the Tibetan Ukranian Mountain Troupe and the sun and all its convoy were there....amazing times. I went from there to living on a side of a hill outside of Hay-on-Wye and doing a gazillion CND marches... kids today... they just don't know what they're missing..... :-D

Oh the hot knives word.!..ooh.I seriously burnt my lungs out from 15-25 on hotties...lol..usually one of those old milk bottles...if you got really great you'd get a knife put it inro the top of the bottle...one sharp jolt+the bottom of the bottle would come off without edges...if unlucky it would be a stoner holding the knives+a plastic bottle...one catch +a lung full of chermical was yours..I loved doing HT'S of opium[my mom grows opium poppies ,she's 80]..Afghan Black floated my boat...x

The first 40 secs is a band called "The mighty UM". Me (adey) on keyboards (Juno6+fx+WEM copycat), Derek on vox+bass , another guy named Adey on strat/fender+WEM. Total jam through the night - we ran out of our set in the first half hour, we were just playing with echos.. f**k we were tired! Girl named SAM took us down in a VW van, didnt even know we were going to do it.

Stonehenge was the best party I've ever been to, beyond any doubt. 1983 was good but 1984 was even better.

We stayed for a couple of weeks in 83 but closed down the squat and moved en masse to stonehenge for a month in 84.
