We probably should make gay marriage legal because this world is becoming way too overpopulated. I have NOTHING against gay marriage. I mean, anyone is allowed to do anything they want. How would the "straight" people feel if they weren't allowed to marry each other? What if a women and a man marrying each other was wrong? I don't know if I make sense, I'm tired.
A lot of people felt uncomfortable voting for gay marriage because of religious reasons, but still feel like gay marriage should be allowed. The made up term of homophobia may still be the biggest anti-gay marriage voice, but its not the only one. Not everyone that votes against gay marriage hates homosexuals.
@AngryAussie From a religious standpoint it would be hard voting for something you believe to be a sin. Civil rights shouldnt be a majority vote so things like Prop 8 shouldnt happen. However, it did. Im glad that gays are getting the right to marry, they deserve it. If it would have fallen on my vote however, leaving it as "marriage" and not a legal agreement of equal terms would have been a conflicting decision and to invalidate my reasons because they dont match your own is close minded.

Animals also sin in other ways. animals kill people, and even in some cases, will steal from people. animals were not made sinless. If anything I wouldn't use animals as a model person. I'm guessing animals have reason to kill though. Look at elephants. Some wondered why they were killing people and later found out it was because HUMANS (also animal) killed them for their tusks. Either they are mad or simply defending themselfs, either way I'm sure god would understand. And yes some do have a choice, but not all. Some may have done it to piss off mommy or daddy. But most actually like the same sex and there was no choice involved.

Even my pastor said God doesn't hate gays. He used to get angry at Christians who hold up signs saying 'God hates fags.'
He also used to get mistreated by every pastor in the city. They'd say things like "He's not a real pastor. He lets alcoholics attend his church."
It made me sick. Their idea of spreading the Word is to ban "undesirables?"
I thought Jesus was supposed to have hung out with sinners anyway.
I don't go to church anymore b/c the old pastor left.

My biggest problem with homophobes is that they think that gay people have psychological issues, not genetic differences, or they think you can choose to be gay.
True, you can probably force yourself to have sex with someone of the same or different sex, but I can guarantee that you find one gender more attractive than the other, even a little bit.
