yes the BMW startet earlyer, this few seconds doesn´t matter. they both got an 3.0 liter motor, but the BMW is cheaper, need fewer diesel and it got an Bi-turbo. But the AUDi is allso brilliant, cause they are both german! :)
BMWs numbering system has changed in the past few years... It seems not to make any logical sense - the 550i is now a 4.4l tt V8, 335i is a 3.0l tt inline 6, etc.
@200208195 True but that has happened because they now use twin turbos to compensate for the 0.5l, that's why they call it 3.5 while its 3.0l.....The end result is the same, the A5 has no turbos and is almost 50HP less powerfull than the BMW.
@200208195 Unless the entire exhaust system from front to back is changed (it just says exhaust) there shouldnt be any extra HP on the A5.
Either way the BMW certainly has more HP, as for the time i didn't know about that since if that was the case the A5 seemed to be doing better, still it fell back on the time. But i haven't raced at such even before so i simply can't say.

@mybizuk Don't want to be a tw*t but f*ck it will anyway, it's not twin turbo it's bi turbo the difference being the twin turbo is for v engines or larger than a 4 pot (usually) with both turbo's rated at the same pressure and the same problems a single turbo has (lag) but a bi turbo is a two stage affair with a smaller turbo for low down revs and a larger one for higher revs thus smooth and constant power. You probably know this already but thought I'd say anyway for anyone else.

The Audi had a Better and faster start, thanks to 4wd. The Bmw Being faster pulled away and almost 1 second faster at 1/4mile and 7 whole mph faster, thats a massive gap.
well, i have been racing over here but we don't have rules like that...
there's no bracket time, we have clases in seconds like 10-11, 11-12, 12-13.. and so on..both cars starts at the green light and reaction time is included in timing mark...
so i had mk1 golf and my best time over here was 14.750 with reaction time.. .
on this video audi doesnt start at the same time...and that's what i'm talking, he maybe started really fast but beemer started before he did...

they had to erase ecu because ecu was little messed up and didnt allow to change brake pads % to be saved.then they ipdated everything. usually no such action in service, but i know that should be carefull about ecu,because they wont care if you have remapped...now my cars warranty is over and i say them that no erasing everything :D

@Josef990 No it's not. It's a 3.0 L Engine, same as in 330 the only diffrence being that 335 has a bi-turbo. Dont correct others if you havent got your facts right.

How can that be, in standard trim Audi has 237HP and BMW 286HP.
This video shows two tuned examples Audi 300HP and BMW 350HP.
The Audi with QUATTRO Had a better launch than RWD bmw but bmw was much faster and with Higher Trap speed.

Actually, His launch was perfect, a 1.8sec 60ft time compared to the 1.9 of the bmw.
He actually launched quicker and better.
The Audi was trapping the 1/4mile at 98mph. The 335d at 105mph.

The Audi had a Better and faster start, thanks to 4wd. The Bmw Being faster pulled away and almost 1 second faster at 1/4mile and 7 whole mph faster, thats a massive gap.

well, i have been racing over here but we don't have rules like that...
there's no bracket time, we have clases in seconds like 10-11, 11-12, 12-13.. and so on..both cars starts at the green light and reaction time is included in timing mark...
so i had mk1 golf and my best time over here was 14.750 with reaction time.. .
on this video audi doesnt start at the same time...and that's what i'm talking, he maybe started really fast but beemer started before he did...

they had to erase ecu because ecu was little messed up and didnt allow to change brake pads % to be saved.then they ipdated everything. usually no such action in service, but i know that should be carefull about ecu,because they wont care if you have remapped...now my cars warranty is over and i say them that no erasing everything :D
