  • Very cool, almost sounded like they took the Salty Dog track of the song and had Gary sing over it. Chris copied Matthew's beautiful organ parts wonderfully. Nice. These guys are smoking.

  • Oh, Barrie. Yes, as Robin said of him, Lovely Fellow. Just Sweet. The all-time best drummer ever in rock, bar none.

  • It's THESE VIBES that speak to me more than whatever.

They have not only passed the test of time ,they are in an undefinableway musically broad , deep and alive! Bernard

  • Didn't know Gary sang this after Matthew left..nice to see this!

  • The great Chris Copping, quiet, low profile, amazing talented musician...he lives in Australia and has a nice band over there... he was such a cool cat...:-))he s a cool grandpa today. All the best Chris. a grandma fan. great Procol Harum.

  • Love B.J's drums. Especially at the end.

  • octopus in a bathtub

  • The vocal is superb

  • Sorry , only Matthew Fisher knew ,how to sing his song.

  • nel disco a cantare questa canzone è mattew fisher l'organista , ma qua si nota davvero il talento canoro di sr brooker

  • Garry Brooker should have sung all Procol Harum songs. If'd give anything to hear his voice on the studio version of this worderful tune. This live version is brilliant, nonetheless. Thanks for posting!

  • @baracatjr Brooker did sing all of their songs, and this song is on their album titled A Salty Dog.

  • @lostchord09 No, friend! Many songs (this is one of them) were sung by Matthew Fisher.

  • @baracatjr Oh I misunderstood, sorry, I stand corrected!

  • @baracatjr Yeah I love Brooker's voice, their early albums are just the best!

  • Solid Procol lineup w/ Chris Copping, Dave Ball, David Knights. Maybe 1973?

  • @teedlebomb1

This recording is from 1971, and available on DVD, check amazone.com.

By the way it's not David Kights but Alan Cartwright on bass.

  • So many of their songs have this haunting timeless sound. Just great to see live clips.

  • This song makes me quiet and listen to it everytime i hear it.

    His voice gives me shivers

  • Superb vocals and instrumentals. Chris Copping, the quiet superstar. BJ, ... best effing rock drummer. Thanks rofimalac.

  • @GMPB

  • This is so great on so many levels: the composition, the playing, the signing, the mood, the arrangement, the lyrics. This band, at its best, really did have 'something magic'.

  • thanks for this video, one of my favouirite songs, maf wonderfull composition, superb gary as vocalist and BJ da "brividi"!!!

whre can I buy this DVD concert?

  • @mandok48 I bought it off of amazon.com

  • This is my favorite PH song (Matthew Fisher sings the original) with A Salty Dog and Quite Rightly So coming in right behind. I remember seeing this a couple of years ago, but it was part of a double video. Thanks for reposting it.

  • Thank you Romifalac for posting this song!! Where did you get this ??

  • Gorgeous song. Greetings from Hungary.

    Hatalmas szám. Köszi, hogy föltetted.

  • Unfortunately, there is no HD versions available for download on some sites that total show a similar capacity.

  • O my god... Missed it for 2 years... now its back.. any possibility to post it in HD????????????

  • Oh god, I never thought I would see a live version of this. Thank you so much.

  • This is wonderful. I love this song best of all Procol's.

The original Mathew's version is quite beautiful, nothing worse compared to this, but this Gary's singing is strong and very impressive.

  • 2010 brings Gary and PH back to the States.

  • Fuck it! :) 6 stars... I saw this one day, and then disappeared, so I thougth I imagined it... thanks for posting, Gary singing!

  • the same happened to me
