I think we are missing something here. there is NO ONE on that stage that has the same style of singing. Kelly's repetoire of songs are second to none, but Fantasia's style is compared only to the woman of the 70's and 80's; where motown and soul was superb in it's on. Ruben has such a cantante voice that he is even different from Fantasia. Now Degarmo, she is just fine, but oh yeah, she can sing too. So. that's the key. 4 totally different styles that make them so unique. thx guys.

American Idol has lost a lot of it's great raw and next door type of talent. Now there are a lot of wierd song choices, themes and talented is limited as well as lack of that feeling you got when you saw Fantasia, Kelly and Ruben as well as Clay, Diana and Justin up there singing and the warmth of the audience the original stage and the magic that the participants had. I'm sorry but it's just not the same anyome!

im pretty sure that it may have changed after Carrie Underwood won. She was the second idol to make something out of herself. Her and Kelly are definitely the best idols. Then you get ones like Taylor Hicks, i haven't even heard of him until i was on the website. Jordin was good too. But Carrie and Kelly are the best ones, in they're own type of music. This season probably has only one very talented person which is David Archuleta.
