@TorpedoBill9 Well..at one time Sega did have a larger hold on the market than Nintendo. It's not hard to know why, Sonic 1, 2, and 3 where a lot cooler than Super Mario World in my opinion. But yeah, Sega isn't what it used to be. BUT. The biggest change was to Sonic Team. It seems all the good developers got replaced with brain-dead zombies that have mediocre programming skills.

Now, When Sonic came out, there were ads for the game.... But I remember an old commercial with a music about sonic, like : "Sonic, SONIC, So cool".... A kind of rap of the early 90s.... and we saw Sonic running in the street or something... an american tv commercial. I'm sure I saw this for real!!!!

You can tell it is well *after* the U.S. Genesis launch of 1989, but *before* the Sonic era of 1991.

Actually, the ads were terrible for the SMS and early on with the Genesis, Then Genesis ads became awesome, Then they churned out all this gritty arthouse shit for the Saturn ads, then they made AWESOME Dreamcast ads and yet Dreamcast still failed...
