@MRladner12 No, any DVD you can record to is fine. Just remember thatwhen you finalize the DVD so your computer can read it, it can never be recorded to again so don't use a really expensive DVD.

Hey mate im using a Sony HDD and I connected it like you said, But for some reason there is a delay when I play with my PS3. So when I press to the right, it will take 1sec till it actually reacts on it.

The only problem with this is...I myself own a Sony Dvd recorder that does the same thing, but as soon as I finalize the dvd...I cant erase it and use it again...That means you go through dvds sorta fast.... Other than that...the method works great with good to perfect picture quality...

@prankster369 Ya, that is the biggest problem with this. I use DVD that are not rewritable anyways cause they are alot cheaper, u can get them for around 25 cents each

But the video goes onto the disc. Some people have laptops (e.g. netbook) that have no dvd thingy.

@iHabboify Ya, u need to have a DVD recorder to record this way. Once the vid is on the DVD, u just upload the DVD onto ur laptop
