PKP is a beast! The recoil is fucking atrocious though. You'll be cussing and tearing your hair out until you unlock the foregrip and a sight. Then it'll be a FUCKING BEAST.

Whoah, dude, where did you find those stats?? On Battlefield.wikia it says that the intermediate caliber LMGs - M27, RPK-74 and M249 - does 25 damage at "close" range and 17 at longer ranges with less range and substantially more bullet drop. The .30 LMGs, however - PKP Pecheneg, M240B and M60E4 - do 34 at "close" range and 28 at longer ranges with a more consistent flight pattern. The M60E4 has the lowest rate of fire at 500, the RPK-74 600, the PKP 650, the M27 and M240B 750 and the M249 800.

yeah you can't win 1v1 against an assault with famas/f2000/m416 etc with this but this gun is excellent for support from the borders of the map and sneaking into bases, etc.

@seer775 actually they all do the same damage close range so m240b wins and only the m240b does 28 damage at long range but is balenced by having higher recoil than most (if not all) of the automatic guns in the game

One of the reasons that the PKP has more damaging effect than the M240B and the M60E4, it's because the PKP's cartridge is 7.62x54mmR and both M240B and M60E4 cartridge are 7.62x51mmNATO

I like seeing your soldier get caught on 6 inch tall rubble and fail to bound over railings when you hit space bar. I'm glad I'm not the only one these things happen to :)

So frustrating but at least it isn't like 2142 where you took dmg from sprinting over certain rubble/train tracks/etc.

I don't know about anyone else, but I find that the LMG's way outstrip the assault rifles at any range. Even if I find a support gunner coming around the corner and get a jump on him, they still seem to always come out on top.

agree with Airclot. The whole point of LMGs is to go prone or in a window or behind a box and set up that bipod and rain death. Personally, I go PKP with PKA or PKA-S sight, Bipod and suppressor.

the recoil on this thing is so manageable. After you got the kick down after firing for maybe 15 rounds just aim down and kill all SOB. It has visually no horizontal recoil.

I did not find this video useful as you ignored the main role of LMGs, going prone somewhere with bipod and just raining hell. Honestly, going LMG with foregrip is a waste, as you could do better as an assault. The strength of LMGs lies in the bipod, and you haven't reviewed that, so this is useless to me.

hey man could you do a video on tv guided missiles? there seems to be quite the confusion on how they work, and how they deal damage.

The two main things about TV missiles is that the pilot needs to have the nose of the heli pointed towards the general area of the target and you should guide the missile in the first few seconds towards the target because after that they turn a lot slower. Guiding does take some practice but they're amazingly powerful(it's either an instant disable or 1-shot kill for a dead-on hit...when they don't glitch/bounce off a vehicle).
