  • @jan3150 allen collins is doin the solo work and most everything else is gary rossington

  • @buddy31tide hey bud!! allen collins was not playing on this song. its gary and ed or huey for the outlaws.

  • One of their best new era tunes for sure. Long live LS and all their fallen brothers and sisters.

  • Thumper...was a class act! Great bass player.

I love this song!!!! Great tribute.

I can't believe how long it's been since you been gone. Seems like yesterday.

  • Thx a lot guys. Guess i gotta get a peavey amp.

  • damn men i love this FUCKING solo

  • Can you tell me what kind of effect do they use to gain a sound of the guitar like in 1:46-1:48 and from 1:56 to 2:00?

  • u mean the harmonics?

  • kinda.. but nut sure i'm just talking about this squeezing and charachteristic sound of the guitar solos like it has been made by wah-wah but it's not. Old Skynyrd songs also has this specific sound and i have no idea how to aquire this sound on guitar.

  • there is no effect its gain in the amp he truns it up and turn aroud the amp peavey will do thet!!!

  • and also harmonics!!

  • this is probably one of my favorite songs of LS..always the best! long live rock'n roll! thank u for posting!

  • Great Song I love it thanks guitar player for posting it.I am a rebel southern rocker ,Long Live Southern Rock! from wfenderbassman

  • Long Live Lynyrd Skynyrd!!! the best will ever be!!!!

  • yup.

& Confederate General Robert E. Lee is my great-great grandpa.

  • bullshit

  • I'm pretty sure he meant for it to be

it's directed towards the kid down their "nick jonas" something

  • And my hats off to you and your great great grandpa.

  • Hats?

  • ok this is for Mad4nickjonas...... ALRIGHT AND RONNIE VAN ZANT IS MY DAD

  • Oh, it's for Leon. I thought it was for Ronnie. I guess because he was Johnny's brother.

  • Free Bird!

  • fuck yeah! ive been lookin for this song ever since my brother lost the CD i hade it on. great fuckin song man, skynyrd are god damn legends

  • it saddens me that the alleged cousin of the "Mad Hatter" would call him/her self Mad4NickJonas

  • Nenxe Your The Most Retarded Person Ever!!!!! This Song Was Written For Leon Wilkison A.K.A. The Mad Hatter. And They wrote This Right After He Died In 2001. I Know That Because He's My Cousin. So Take That!!!! My Dad And Him Look Alike. I Do To. So It Ya Don't Believe Me That's Fine But He Really Is My Cousin!!!!!!!

  • first of all im sorry to hear about your cousin, and i love lynyrd skynyrd but to call a person "the most retarded person ever!" for mistaking a song about an obscure musician for a bandmembers brother is the most retarded thing ive ever heard!! p.s. nenxe mad4nickjonas is right despite his/her obvious stupidity.

  • You Son of a bitch

  • seriously less cussing would be great.

go cuss people out on some other video.

i put it up here because i love lynyrd skynyrd and this wasn't on here yet so just enjoy it

  • lol your dealin with rebel rockers.. nun wrong with a lil FUCK YAAA haha

  • nenxe... you are by far the most retarded idiot ever. This song was written mid-production of Vicious Cycle when Leon Wilkeson died. It was written for HIM. That's why you hear the bass intro which you will also find in the song "Travellin' Man"... which Leon wrote. Know what you talk about before you comment.

  • "By far the most retarded idiot ever"....you really have to be pretty high on the all-time idiot list to make a comment like that.

  • one of Gary's best solos

  • i agree it's really cool and bluesy

  • Little do a lot of people know, Leon co-wrote "Travellin' Man" and "Woman of Mine", both of which have rolling bass intros. The latter song you can find on the CD "Collectybles"

  • Great tribute song for Ronnie by Johnny.
