Growing up in the 80's, it wasn't cool to be a Tom Petty fan. Now, when you mention his name, people have a respect for his music. love it.

This song is musically so pretty and lyrically lovely too. When I started listening to it this evening I thought "ah, I hear a bit of a Dylan guitar and vocal influence there" which would make total sense. I just really LOVE this song and this particular performance. Mike plays guitar so beautifully on it. They all do a fantastic job. Once again, I tip my hat to them all and can't wait to see them in less than a week!

Last DJ has some great songs on it, but is not as good an all around album as Echo or Wildflowers (just an opinion, not hating)

your opinion was insulting and as far as i'm concerned completely innacurate - some people just love to be critics - critique yourself -Toms body of work is extensive and he keeps making good music - his fanbase is huge and varied and piles of other great musicians love him and want to play with him The Last DJ is a great album and it has a good message - great lyrics

I'm a Petty fan but he's pretty much hit the creative wall since Wildflowers...and this album the last dj was just a perfect example of him losing it. My God was this a terrible album.

I grant you...Like a Diamond is a beautiful song...but most of that album is dreadful.  You have to understand that I grew up on the first 7 albums...then came Full Moon Fever and the band I so much loved fizzled.
