  • I so much want to make what you're cooking -- it all looks delicious! I'm not at all familiar w/ingredients from India (but love the cuisine) and so, it would be helpful if you could also post the ingredients and amounts.

  • 13 dislikers eat shit ?

  • Hi Sanjay,

  • soo... good of u for sharing such a good and simple recepie.. thnx a lottttt.....

  • Nice easy recipe... As usual...Beautifully explained...

  • And im being honest cus plain flour is used in pancakes 2 right, all dis recipe is pancake taste with jeera yuk yuk thinking about it brings me that awful taste back again, so no firefire i do know authentic indian food & wy they taste like pancake wen its meant2 be a myraw ppanda

  • @brandy67543 That's interesting. It should be more like the batter for Sweet & Sour Chicken or Fried Mushrooms. Vah chef's batter doesn't have sugar. And I don't believe Pancakes have Rice flour in the batter. I can imagine eating pancake mix with Jeera & I'd agree - Yuk. What amounts of each ingredient did you use for your batter?

  • @firefire763 everyone has different taste choices of foods and opinions. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and myraw fratta or mysue ponda wateva itis called was horrible PERIOD.

  • That goes to say i wont be following his cooking tips too cus i tried a second recipe and it wasnt nice. Vah chef isnt a good cook sorry am just being truthful

  • @brandy67543

Obviously you don't know how authentic Indian food tastes then. I only use Vah chef's recipes when I cook, and it always turn out delicious. My INDIAN husband loves his recipes too. (I am American, and I love to use his recipes because they are so easy, and turn out good.)

  • I tried this and it did not taste nice its more of a pancake taste with jeera taste. I did not like atall hubby didnt have a second bite too!

  • How does it taste?

  • @amisgh <3ly...you will have it every day if you can after you taste it once.......

  • OMG!!! did you eat them all? just choking. Please next time explain precise and tell which flour did you use, I think you said all purpose flower? However, your cooking is execellant.

    Thank you

  • Hi Wahchef

Do U no how to make doughnuts..if so could U show me how.I like your easy and understanding cooking

  • Great Things can be achieved by simple ways , you have demonstrated it time and again . Keep it up Chef . Way to gooooooooooo!

  • forgot to close your mouth???while eating?

  • i dont have rice flour, and cant find it here in UK. do i have a substitute?

  • @gudume

theres no substitute, if you use different flour, you'll get a different dish as there are many varieties of bonda/bhajjis made with different flours. I don't know where in the UK you live but in the London area there should be lots of indian shops, you will probably find it at a Indian or Oriental grocery market not the mainstream ones. If not get raw rice and put it in a coffee grinder without adding any water. It should work.

  • @gudume you can get it from tesco or any indian shope

  • @gudume i get it from tesco or indian shope

  • @01ajwad

i found rice flour from popat. but cudnt find it in tesco. thanks .:)

  • Its so nice to see you enjoy cooking and enjoy eating it.Mysore bonda looks so god and its tempting .

  • this very similar to phlourie except tumeric is added and its usually served with tamarind chutney or mango chutney

  • Your right about the buttermilk near the cream in North America, however, i think Sanjay refers to watered down yogurt as buttermilk...thats what we call buttermilk in India (add water to "curd" or yogurt).
