Kate Shindle is a little too showgirl for my taste. She reminds me of Nicole Kidman's performance in Moulin Rouge. Seriously if you've seen it, try to imagine an evil Satine.

I prefer Nikki Snelson from the original. I like the original version of "Mad Hatter" and the old song "Nick of Time." Though I must admit "I Will Prevail" is pretty intense.

I also prefer Nikki Snelson's costume to Kate Shindle's.

I must say and I'll probably get cyber-yelled at for this but hey... I really don't like Kate Shindle's voice or acting. She keeps flipping in and out of character and I find her voice can sometimes hurt my ears a bit. Don't get me wrong, she's talented. Just not my cup of tea :L

@ritsfata Maybe if it was lowered a few keys. Idina rarely solidly hit the high F in defying gravity, I seriously doubt she could hit and hold the high notes at the end of this in its current key.

What's up with the Idina VS Shindle? As much as I love Idina more than I love Kate, I can't deny that Kate's technique is a lot more refined. I would dare to say she is probably one of 10 ladies of these days that does still belt (healthily, more importantly). I do believe Idina would be a great Hatter and I think it's crazy how people say Wicked ruined her voice. I don't hear any deterioration whatsoever. Idina's voice is brighter, suitable for Elphaba, Kate's darker, a great Hatter.

Don't get me wrong here, I love idina to death. But if this were made into a movie and anyone but Kate shindle was playing the mad hatter I would barf. Kate single handily made this show one of my favorite's. I Will Prevail could never be sung as powerfully as she does here. Period. I'm so thankful I was able to see this on broadway before it closed, and it's all thanks to her.

@illsen12345 Ha I'm just messing with you jk but the file the video is from is split in a wierd way from act one to act 2 to and when I edit it it becomes slightley out of sync I know a way to fix it with my tv and camera but the sd card in my camera is broken but when I get a new one I will be able to fix it and reupload it hope this helps :)
