  • Ilove this :-)

  • This is the talent I want in my next life. Imagine being able to express yourself to a girl in this way. What a Christmas gift when you pull out a few sheets of lyrics and just lay this song on her. Amazing.

  • Jon B got his style from here

  • I was dating a chick in junior high when this came out.. I wrote the lyrics and gave them to her in a note....Song hits me deep in my soul...

  • I feel strong emotions running all over my body when I hear this song. This man's message is absolutely WOW!

  • This was the song that really got me into jazz, wish he made an actual video to this.

  • One of the sexiest songs ever...love listening during long drive.. laying out poolside, cooking....just a nice smooth, easy sound.

  • Michael Mcdonald and Kenny Loggins are by far the baddest white boys ever!!!

  • @DrOCkABlEs

Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of both Michael & Kenny, but "The Average White Band" did a live version of "A Love Of Your Own" man! They blew me away! Check it out here on YouTube.

  • @DrOCkABlEs NO DOUBT...THIS IS THE TRUEST STATEMENT ON YOUTUBE

  • @DrOCkABlEs With all due respect, you left someone very important off your "baddest white boys list"--DARYL HALL!!!! Michael and Kenny are definitely great talents, but it's Daryl that brings the SOUL!! And he's so rockin' HOT!!!!!!!!!

  • I am using this song for my wedding, I just love this song.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!! Truly timeless and soul-moving, heart-touching, and a thing of beauty and grace. THIS is great music. Makes 1985 seem like yesterday. Reminds me of my soul mate Cathleen, each and every time I hear it. If love could be expressed in words, this song comes the closest. Thanks Kenny for the artistry, the musicians for the music, and you for the posting. It's in my favorites.

  • I think Maxwell has the perfect voice for this song.....he should consider doing a cover

  • Total Classic Kenny Loggins!

  • He's always done good r&B. PPl like to deny it but Kenny is a bad mutha! He songs are some of my fondest childhood memories. Blue eyed soul rules! From a little black woman from Philly.

  • @PrincessLibra1013 - Took the words right out of my mouth!

  • @PrincessLibra1013 I'm 10/14! Libras are the best lovers! We love beauty and romance. We are the sexiest of the signs. I am sure you have a list of songs you keep in mind for romantic moments. I won't even listen to them with men who I don't love cause don't want to associate the guy with the song cause it would affect the residual affect.

  • @MsTracie 10/16 Here babe. Yes we are the better lovers of the zodiac signs.

  • This has got to be one of the most sensual songs ever recorded ...ever!

    tnx for posting.

    Pardon my english I'm dutch

  • sweet and fantastic

  • Simply a Gorgeous piece of music.

  • A true song of artistic mastery. If Brian McKnight covered this, he would kill it in a most outstanding way!

  • @ChiBlaque mmmmm ... I don't know about Brian McKnight doing this song justice. It doesn't seem like his style to me for some odd reason.

  • So vibrant and new , it's hard to believe

she tries to clear the lump in her throat that makes it hard to swallow.. baby jus grab my hand and let love follow

  • I get chills hearing Kenny's soulful voice, smooth for the young and old.

  • Love will follow was written by kenny loggins and Thomas Righter Snow in 1986 it appeared on the Vox Human albulm and was the b-side of the 45 inch playing with the boys from the Top GUN soundtrack it ALSO appeared on the Jimmy Messina/Kenny Loggins do you want to dance/love will follow 12' Vinyl in 1988 Shanice made a duet with him on the Kenny Loggins album entitled "Outside: From the Redwoods."

  • pogi!

  • @GodAlways1 YES THIS SONG MADE A FAN OF HIS 4 LIFE

  • If Robin Thicke covered this, it would go straight to #1

  • Work it Kenny, work it.....

  • I have loved this song since I was a child. A very beautiful song.

  • I believe that to truly Love, is the ultimate expression of the will to live. A heart that truly loves is forever young.

  • Have loved this since I got Kenny's Vox Humana tape back in '85. This song is pure MAGIC. Takes you to another place. Thanks for posting!!

  • This is my JAM!!!! I love this song...too beautiful!

  • my 1fst slow with my huahua Célia ...

  • This is such a dreamy song. Listening this takes you back to the good old days, you smile & enjoy what you thought the first time you heard this one here!!! Gosh this is real music, I'm in my early thirties and old enough to appreciate REAL MUSIC!! Thanks for posting!

  • This is such a beautiful song...love to hear it after a long tiring day...

  • I've been looking for this for a long time thanks for posting!

  • I'm sorry but Kenny Loggins is still the man on this tune and Carl Anderson's version is just a different flavor on a classic that's all. It's not that it's any better just different, don't hate people!

  • I LIke The Carl Anderson Version Better.

  • love the sax solo...but not so much the singing

  • I run out of breath and start to shake when I hear this song.

    I love you Kenny.

  • a beautiful song

  • dope....i thought it was a woman though lol

  • Alan Thicke has nothing on Kenny's falsetto. You can't help but sway to this song. Have the album and this song still sounds fresh.

  • Its Robin Thicke, not Alan...I was a real Robin fan until I heard him sing live. I was really disappointed; he didn't the range that he appears to have on a studio album. The real test for an artist is a live performance and Kenny has done so many and sounds better than the disc. I love him!

  • man i have been trying for a long time to find this song, takes me back to the good days, yung love, and summer fun. thank you much for posting..

  • Sad thing about the state of R&B these days is that it's lost the seduction of the past. Music these days doesn't try to set a mood anymore. That's why I rarely listen to the music of today even though I'm only 33. Nothing like a smooth groove, burn a little green and sip your favorite drink with that special someone. We all know what happens next. ;)

  • Love this song.Great work.

  • Very good song......

  • Simply Superb :D x

  • dope i love this ;)

  • Amazing...I'm surprised that a musical gem like this song isn't played more on the radio.

  • Im only 14 and I like this song, you'd think I'd some shitty Chris Brown song or something, THIS SONG IS GOOD

  • My all-time favorite by Kenny.I searched 4 this for a very long time on here!

  • I don't think pop radio paid much attention to this one! This is one of my favorites. Perfect way to end an album.

  • Gold.

  • This is a hot track!!! He is a bad White Boy :O)

  • i know thats right!! lol:0

  • Saw him a few months back at Osage Casino in Tulsa. Incredible talent, interacted great with the crowd.

  • Just a lovely and romantic song...that came out the year I got married...thank you for posting!

  • Kenny is simply amazing! Not to take anything away from a wonderful career but I wish Kenny would of composed more songs like this. The man has so much talent he could easily cut out another dozen solid tracks like "Love Will Follow" and cement his position in soul/neo-soul history. This song has always been on my heavy rotation. Thanks for posting and thank you Kenny.

  • i said the same thing but in atlanta they only played this once in a blue moon on the jazz channel and THEN i didnt know it was him because they didnt announce the artist or the song at the end,, he should have kept this formula as should george benson(but felt he sold out when he went mainstream) this is solid recording very beautiful says uzipolo king of decatur

  • Jamal Ahmed on WCLK 91.9 FM plays this song maybe 1-2 times a month. His show is the S.O.U.L. of Jazz, M-F 2-6PM.

  • Dayum I almost forgot Kenny Loggins made this joint! This got major play on urban stations here in Detroit. Good look posting this one. This is so smooth....

  • I love this song soooooo much!! :)

  • THIS IS THE BEST LOVE SONG AROUND! I love Kenny Loggins!!!!!!

  • yeah, boz scaggs, gino vanelli, bobby caldwell, toto...they got nuthin' on my man KL.

    Peace!

  • 4:38-4:41

kenny mimics dave's alto with his own alto impeccably.

this cat is the underrated genius of white boy soul.

and nate east goes nuts on this joint.

givin' marcus a run for the money.

  • I agree. I think Kenny is in the same league as Gino Vannelli when it comes to a non-black actually grasping the concept of "soul" in their music the same way we do.

  • Love this song!!!Thank U for posting.

  • Oh, this the junk right here!

    Good post, baby.

  • kenny loggins vocals are so beautiful on this song.....It brings back such good memories of love for the very first time and how wonderful it all was.....thank you so much for posting this

  • I broke my ankle and had to just sit and listen to my stereo radio. I heard this one time and it took me to good places. That's how I got through my pain.. Thanks for the post.

  • A friend of mind many years ago introduced me to the Mother Lode Album, and I have loved his music every since. This is the type of music that makes you dream.........Janet Chapman of Portland Oregon who roomed with Cindy Bernard Thank you

  • I'm feeling this R&B tune by the Loggin, his son also sings. I'm not sure if he has the vocal range like pops. Even though it's way back in the day, it still remains the same today. Thanks for posting.

  • heyroz27 I have 2 give u mad props on this one. I bought this tape while on deployment in Korea in 1987. Love Will Follow is undeniably a underrated classic. So many memories. Memories of love laughter and joy. Thanks again to u and Kenny Loggins.

  • 5:35 to the end...GORGEOUS! Kenny, the back ground singers...just the whole song...perfect. PERIOD.

  • i have always loved this song!! i agree that this cut was way underrated. amazing arrangement!!

  • this is one of the most UNDERRATED SONGS of the 1980s!!!!!!!!! Kenny Loggins is very talented and blows on this cut!! great vocals!!!!!

  • Everytime I play this, no one is able to name Kenny as the artist. When I insist, they r all WOWED AND BLOWN by the melody and the beautiful arrangement. Love it, many thanks.

  • Love thi song..

  • Bless you Kenny Loggins...melanie

  • heyroz27, thanks so much for posting this song!!! 'tis my fave song by kenny.
