  • wish i got to go

  • Saw Tom Morello with Steve Earle in Chicago last year. He brings the same energy to his acustic stuff.

  • Esta muy mal grabado con el móvil!!! La proxima vez, llevate una camara de grabar!!! Un saludo!

  • biasa aja..masih lebih halus dan menyayat kalo Slash yg solo gitar..peace!!

  • I've never heard of the Nightwatchman justice tour, but correct me if I'm wrong, I probably am, but is that Nightwatchman, as in Tom Morello?

  • Yes, Tom Morello and Nightwatchman Band performed and backed up many other guest Rock Celebrities.

  • oh, and this is from vais websiteL 'Evo has been through such tumultuous incidents that the body is actually cracking right through. Ibanez has made every attempt to try and fix this but the crack runs through the entire body and is making it harder and harder to stay in tune. Sadly, nothing can be done and the guitar is becoming more and more unreliable to keep in tune.' this argument has ended. thankyou.

  • but ur argument was based on steve and his super guitar tech, so fuck off

  • alive in an ultra world, track: babushka. vais first words at .46 seconds. 'SORRY IM OUT OF TUNE!!!!!!!!!'. so, no. YOU'RE bullshit mate. thats off a live track. now fuck off.

  • yes? and?

  • pessimoo!!!! non è steve vai!!!!!!

  • the drummer is suck........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i mean, nothing against vai, he is amazing and everything...but he did write the song, and if he wasnt able to play it a bit faster than originally written then there would be somethin seriosly wrong.

  • wonder what slash thought of this

  • its not vai fault the tempo is faster, its the ppl he is jaming with... this proves how amazing he is.

  • this sounds like it has been recorded in someone,s back pocket.

  • I like how his guitar is glowing during the solo...

Guess that proves that Vai really is a guitar god...

  • This song really takes a dramatic change when sped up.... Doesnt feel the same .... Dumbass drummers!

  • well who denies that steve vai's virtuoso calibre now !!!!!!!!

  • Vai is the poster boy of virtuoso guitarplayers

  • Class!

  • i like that the tempo went faster. the tempo before was koo but a lil slow for me.

  • Sound quality for all things bassy suck.

  • i lol'd hard , we've all been there

  • hahaha the drummer made steve play some of his parts super fast

  • Maybe the drummer was just teasing him :P

  • It looks like he has stopped using his main guitar EVO because it is too trashed. He is using FLO in this vid because he does his sustainer trick where he blows on the strings and makes everyone think that actually does something to the sound. "OOOOHHHH AAHHHHH!" I like FLO better anyway. It stays in tune better and I love the sustainer.

  • i agree. he bums evo, but i always think it sounds totally out of tune nowdays.

  • i do too. gotta love that sustainer.

  • This is WAYYY too fast. You can tell in the beginning, Vai even moves his hand in a "slow down" fashion to the crap ass drummer. Vai is still magical as always but this backing band blows. Sorry to whoever it is.

  • yea i can tell hes like this blows, and hes doing what he can to make it for himself, like it would be better if he did it solo

  • lol i agree

  • The new beat added a fresh spin on this track. I liked it.

  • Has the drummer never heard or played this song before?!?!!? What the hell? Vai makes up for it with his unrestrained awesomeness though.

  • perty good quality for a cell phone vid

  • wow

  • Steve even gives the drummer a cue to tone it down, but the guy just carries on, lol. :)

I bet it was Travis Barker. *rolls eyes*

  • terrible quality...

  • Poor Vai... Why was the drummer playing like 50bpm faster than usual?

  • Kill the drummer!

  • @pilettovarius why?

  • that s not the tempo of the song,it s too fast

  • i think it's just the crappy recording quality that's picking up the bass drum.

  • The beat is so wrong...poor Steve

    Vai ruless

  • DRums so anoying.

  • i DEFY ANYONE not to laugh at 3.12 and 3.13 if you're watching vais legs. the greatest most comedy move ive ever seen.

  • Like he said in Argentina: "You should see me on my dancing Zapatos"

  • lol, classic stuff. gotta love vai.

  • ROFLHAHAHAHAH I SAW THAT

  • i said this a yr ago and im still laughing.

  • that was fast

  • How the hell is he supposed to groove to that beat?

  • OH man! The tempo is so fast...

  • ...Whammy as well!?

  • Steve, did you ever turn your Sustainer off!? ;)

  • This is what happens when you mix great talent and inspiration with nowadays BS. Altough the Drums sound like shit. U cant even register it well.

  • See that guy bobbing his head up in the front??? THAT'S ME!!!

And yeah the drummer blew it on this one playing the song too fast, but I don't care cuz I ended up with Steve Vai's Guitar Pick after he finished the song!!!

  • damn ur ears must have been rining with vais fret tap finale extraordinaire... :)

  • his hair is short.. this is a latest vid isn't it?

  • yes - i hate it when vai cuts his hair. keep it long n hippy vai! lol look how pissed he is that the drummer is playing it too quickly - how come the drummer doesnt get it? does he think vai is patting the air. lol, he probably thinks, stupid 80's boy with his gay showy hand gestures.

  • this is fast version

  • such a dumbass comment.

  • ThaT'S BECAUSE YOU DON'T LISTEN. And you don't know him, otherwise you might have a dislexic ear.

  • he chose the wrong song, should have played something more commercial, like most of the guys there. Maybe die to live would have been better

  • He did do another uptempo song first. This one was his second number. He also jammed most of the night with the other performers on cover songs. Overall a magical evening. I'll be posting more videos when I get a chance later on.

  • Ahh, man you are so sarcastic. I bet you play many of his songs. LMAO... Good Luck Travis.

  • Amazing magic moment made for the crowd.

  • Steve done a good job of keeping in time even though it sped up on him.

    loven those tongue harmonics

  • Poor Steve, you can see him trying to signal to slow the hell down!

  • I WAS THERE!!!!!! one of the coolest things i've ever seen. and this camera doesn't do any justice to his performance

  • Steve Vai rules!

  • It does seems faster... =O

Yea, and you can't judge the sound of the video. It's clearly not Vai, its the camera! -_-

    Nice video! :D

  • It's faster. FTOLG is 6:04 on Passion and Warfare. This entire vid is 6:43 AND includes Steve's lengthy outro solo/improv.

  • Steve was playing through his rig, but not with his band, and they played the song a little faster than normal.

You can't judge the audio by what was caught by a shitty little consumer-grade camera. The sound at the show was far superior.

  • SteveVaiHimself is Steve's official Youtube account, btw, people. :)

  • the sound at the show is always superior. some people havn't seen dr. vai live yet, but id strongly advise it! he made me trip to london more than memorable, and i have since bought my first guitar. a true inspiration. I'd like to think mr vaihimself monitors and responds himself to these little darts of worship...but its probably a worthy squire, or assistant....or dave weiner ;)

  • yeah it does sound like a rehearsal. He sounds average without his amps effects etc. His usual tone is unique

  • wow he sounds almost average, not sure about the haircut either

  • obviously thats because hes not with his band lol

  • Wait no, he's not playing his best or has enough equipment with him neither is his band..plus i don't think the audience are his fans
