Oh, and for the record I am against cruelty to ANY animal. And having grown up on/around farms I find the vegetarian "I harm no animals" attitude funny. Do you honestly thing a big grain combine moves slow enough that all the animals can clear a path for it? If you eat ANYTHING from a production farm (corn, wheat, soybean, etc) animals died. You would have to grow ALL of your own food to be "cruelty-free". I find the vegetarians who wear ANY leather to be a prime example of this hypocrisy!
Another group that sees rabbits only as pets? Rabbits have been raised as livestock for hundreds of years. Some people keep pigs, goats and even cows as pets. Should we ban those farms as well? If you want regulations to improve conditions on the rabbit farms, then good (although I have not seen any where so many were kept together in cramped cages as depicted in the cartoon, usually only one rabbit per medium cage as they are territorial) . But keep the "rabbits are only for pets out of it!
