  • I just got the Mia, I'm looking forward to trying it out. Thanks for the most honest (realistic) clarisonic review I've seen:)

  • I have PCOS too. It sucks :(

  • You should watch CheckInTheMirror's video on the Clarisonic, she actually works for Clarisonic and explains realyl well just how it works:)

  • this will sound silly but the second time is ur face wet when you put the cleanser on? x

  • Feel Unique and Look Fantastic sell these online now and you can often get discount codes from these websites if you sign up to their mailing list. I got a voucher for £5 off just by signing up to the list from LF! Also from FU if you have purchased from them before you can join their beauty club and then choose Clarisonic as your fav brand to get money off! I'm not affiliated with them or anything, just trying to help people save money on this as I know it is expensive!! Money well spent though

  • I've been wanting this for ages and just got a lavender Mia for my birthday! Am a bit disappointed that it doesn't have a timer though! I was expecting it to beep! But I guess it's just as easy to count in your head the number of seconds required for each area! Just used it for the first time and put my cleanser on it.. skin does feel soft and felt a bit strange after vibrations but still good.. I think it cleansed well :D I'm testing Philosophy Purity cleanser at the moment but love LE C&P !!

  • So basically it's a giant electric toothbrush for your face?!?! lol Great review as always Gem! xxx

  • this is one of the BEST reviews i've seen on the Clarisonic (:

    thanks so much for this!

i can't wait to buy one now, to share with my mom... haha

  • sigmaa are doing a similar thing do you recon it would be anything like the same? xx

  • That's what I hate about cystic acne. Everyone is like, "Try this, or try that!" It doesn't bloody work okay-leave me alone!

  • only just go round to watching this, but i like your review, i feel like it is honest and well thought out... x

  • :O im going to the clothes show with school:') great review btw!

  • Glad you did this review! I was thinking about trying it, thanks for posting!

  • bloody hell, thats a ridiculous price!!!

  • Hi Gemma just to let you know when I popped into my local asda earlier I saw they were selling cetaphil cleanser and lotion for £4 each. I don't use it myself but from lookin at prices online I think it's pretty cheap! XxX

  • i know this isnt really to do with the video, but i was just wondering if youd looked any more into the at home shellac? im thinking of ordering a similar brand and just wondered if you thought it was worth it or if i should just go to a salon, thankyou :) x

  • I bought the Clarisonic Mia for my birthday 2 months ago, it is the best thing I have ever done for my face! My skin is so soft and smooth, my skin tone is more even and my forehead wrinkles are less noticeable(I'm 34). I have fewer breakouts because my skin is so clean. I love it!!

  • you are a delight.

  • Despite the price, I say it's a really good investment.

  • Thanks for the great review!! :D

I don't know if you covered this in the video (I dont think you did) but, does this help even out skin tone and help reduce how visible acne scars are?? :) xxx

  • You skin DOES look really pretty!

  • What if you used an electrical toothbrush, lol. It would take longer but it would be more presise, wouldnt it be the same but without speed things and timers.

  • If you lost your clarisonic or something, would you go out and buy the clarisonic plus or buy something cheaper like the clarisonic mia? Because I'm not sure if the additional timing aspect of the plus is worth an additional 75 dollars?

  • hahaha when you say 'pores' it sounds like 'paws' :P so cute

  • You are the first person I've seen to actually say that this won't help with hormonal acne. I am a teenager so that is what I think I have, but unfortunately this wouldn't help. Do you think the exfoliating factor and smoother application of makeup is worth it?

  • Gemma, what are you wearing on your nails? It is such a pretty colour!!

  • @rachm282 It's written in the down-bar :)

  • Want one soooooo much! Xmas present idea! Thanks Gemma :D x

  • HI! Thanks for the review! How often do you use the Clarisonic? Also, like another reviewer, I have a question about balm cleansers like the eve lom one? Would they work well? Usually I would remove them with a muslin cloth but would I still do that with this?

  • Sigma is coming out with a divice very similar to the clarisonic. and it costs only 30 dollars!!!

  • if you just get a basic face massager brush, that doesnt require any electricity and costs 3 euro ull get very similar results if you use it everyday for like a good 2-3 minutes, no matter which cleanser u use!

  • If anyone was planning on buying this I would direct you to looking at the Sirius Skinsonic which is essentially the same thing but much cheaper so definitely look into it. I havent used it myself but reviews say that it is just as good as the clarisonic :)

  • Hi I've used my clarisonic with both liz earle and eve lom cleanser. Since they both leave a fine film of oily residue what do u use to remove it after you've used the clarisonic on both your face and brush? I love using my one with such products but the only problem is the residue. X

  • Can't you just use a toothbrush? lol

  • i loved how thorough this review ways, you literally covered everything. Thanks for such a great review. I seriously want to get one but they are so pricey. I may just have to cave.

    xx

  • I used the Sensitive brush head, then the Delicate one and I wasn't happy with the results at all. My skin became really oily, blehhh. I was about to give up on the Clarisonic, when I decided to try the Deep Pore Cleansing brush head and wow, it's lovely! WAAAAAY better than the Sensitive and Delicate brush heads :)

  • Great video Gem!!! Thank you for your honest review, I own a Sonicare toothbrush and was really thinking about purchasing the Clarisonic. I agree that it is difficult to justify purchasing the Clarisonic if I haven't actually tested it out on my own skin, but your thorough review has made me think that it is worth it (despite the £30-40 overprice, as you said). I'm stuck between purchasing the Mia or the Classic version, but do you think that the timer is worth the extra money? Thx again, Sarah

  • What are you taking for your PCOS if anything? Thanks

  • Congrats on the beauty panel. I've been using the Mia for about 8 months and will never go without it! great, honest review. I feel the same way about everything you said about the product.

  • Great review, very fair and honnest

  • Totally want one of these now!

P.s your eyebrows look lovely here! X

  • probably the best clarisonic review I've seen to date... <3, Rita

  • Mine is the one that is $195 by the way

  • I have the pink clarisonic; ten percent of the proceeds go to breast cancer. I like mine

  • how many times a day you use the clarisonic? I don't know if two times a day is excesive, what do you think?

  • Thanks Gemma :)

  • I want one so bad now! Haha I know it says you should change the brush head every 4 months but in between do you still have to wash it?

  • The best review on the Clarisonic that I have seen so far. However I was already sold. I asked a friend to buy a Clarisonic Mia for me from the States and I have used it today for the first time... my skin feels so soft, it's amazing. I would also say that the vibration helps relax the muscles in my forehead so it coul d help diminish my frown lines, let's see.

Hugs from Spain, not Valencia though

  • Great review! I feel disgusted now that you mentioned there's still makeup left after washing your face the 2nd time with the Clarisonic! Haha, perhaps I'll save up an buy one too ! xx

  • Great review, I have seen so many Clarisonic and this is the best I have seen Thanks!

  • GREAT review :) really want one but that price tag... I best get saving now D:

  • you have the best reviews! very thorough and honest! i love that:)

  • Pay time I'm ordering one :)

  • if anyone's interested sigma are releasing a copy of the clarisonic, same shape, vibrates etc with 3 different brush heads for $39 dollars and its $18 dollars for shipping to the uk so its only £35 in total!!

  • I really really really really really want one! Thank you for the review :-)

  • Sorry, just to be clear, you said that when it's turned on the brush head doesn't rotate/spin/etc at all, it just vibrates, right? I only ask as I can't afford this at the moment and I'm looking at a cheaper alternative on QVC to try and it doesn't rotate either, just want to be sure, lol. Thanks so much!

  • @CosmeticChronicles the clarisonic does not rotate, just vibrates!:)

  • @makemeupmeredith Oh good, thank you! I'm definitely going to try out the cheaper option then, especially as it comes with a moisturising head and a massaging head! Thanks so much! :)

  • Can you do a video about your PCOS? I suffer from it and could really do with some advice on how to deal with it and what products are good for covering up acne caused by PCOS and what I could do about one of the other symptoms that I suffer from that's on my face which is hairs on my chin.

I love your videos. Keep up the good work.

  • @bookishlaurahanna I also have PCOS so I completely understand what you mean...especially about the hair.

I HATE that part the most. Defiantly a video would be great! I pluck pluck and pluck...I have tried waxing my face but that is just way to hard to do on myself and too expensive to constantly get done andI have tried cream hair removers and bleach and the just hurt and irritate my skin...BUT I was at the drugstore recently at the drugstore...continued...

  • @bookishlaurahanna ....& went to the hair remover aisle & noticed Nads was on sale for 50% off so I thought what the heck I will try it. IT IS AMAZING!!!!!!!! It is water soluble so if you don't get a spot of it off with the muslin strip it comes right off with water unlike wax. It does not leave my face red or irritated AT ALL. It is super easy...just apply a tiny bit and put a ,muslin strip over it rub in the direction of the hair growth and rip it off...it barely hurts at all compared to wax

  • Excellent review Gem I really want to try the Clarisonic too but the price puts me off. And also I've got large pores on my nose so good to know there's other gurus out there that worry too. :D Yay happy friday! xoxo

  • You are sooo relaxing to watch :) I love watching your videos so whenever my inbox says you have uploaded a video I'm like YES!!! Don't stop making videos, EVER!!! Your amazing and I know you'll be good judge, amazing video, plz check out mine x

  • Nooo! Now I want one! ): may have to settle for a Mia if I can afford it xxxx

  • yay that's awesome, you'll be a great judge because you are so honest and knowledgable about beauty :)) xx

  • wow! Thats so cool that you're gunna be on the judging panel! Love your videos! x

  • This is the best clarisonic review I have watched, and I've watched many! I also suffer from pcos, my breakouts are hormonal as well and I knew this wouldn't prevent them but I've had the clarisonic for about a month and my skin has never been so smooth! Thanks for being so honest and I know this is going to help others make a decision :)

  • what does it actually do?x

  • Great review Gemma, very insightful. I've been on the fence about buying this for a little while, think I'm going to save and get this as my next big purchase :) x

  • hahaha awesome videooooo!

ps. click me to see a cranberry neutral summer eyeeee :)

  • also, this video is super helpful!!!! great vid

  • does anyone here knows if its for sale in holland cuz i cant find it on the internet thanks a lot !

  • I've tried MILLIONS of products to reduce the appearance of pores, nothing worked. But a few companies sent me a bunch of products, so I figured 'Why not try this?' not thinking it would have any effect on my pores, however did it ever! It's the Neostrata Cleanser, they have 3 I believe, amaaazing.

  • Has anyone tried the treSonics Facial Cleansing & Massaging System ?

I just found it on the QVC website and its about £35!

  • This is exactly the type of review I was looking for :D Thank you so much Gemma! x

  • Thank you for being thorough and doing your research.

  • Harrods have them in the sale online its not much cheaper than the full price but its better than nothing.

  • I honestly can say that I normally cannot stand a LOT of people's reviews... but I love yours :)

  • @Hairandbeautylicious if you go online there is the Olay facial cleanser and I have heard that it works very well. And it is like $30 US it does take batteries

  • Thanks Gemma. This was such a great review! xx

  • i think i would rather just use a toothbrush than spend £150 haha

but great review! i always know i can trust you xx

  • Becasue the clarisonic mia only has 1 speed, is that the highest speed out of the 3? or would it be better to get one with speed settings?

Also, i dont have sensitive skin but if i was to get a sensitive brush head does that still clean the skin as well as a normal brush head would?

    Thankyou for another amazing review!

  • @xxbadxgurlxx it is the middle speed. it works just as well. i even use the delicate brush and it cleans the same

  • I'm seriously considering buying from QVC aswell since you get a few brush heads with it aswell. I've been eyeing up the Sigma one but after seeing some reviews and it not looking the best made product im not sure which one to go for!

  • Great, detailed review. I have quite flakey skin that is actually quite oily. I find my skin sensitive to any strong exfoliation techniques and I am therefore worried that it will be too harsh for my skin, as the vibrations seem quite aggressive! Will the Clarasonic help or make things worse? x

  • Could you explain how it can help with rosacea and sensitive skin? Because I know for a fact that my face will go red using something like this. How exactly can it help? I've heard people mentioning broken capilaries on those with sensitive skin, so that's why I'm confused. Tks!

  • I have the plus too and love it! def helped with my redness and texture xx

  • Fab review! However, it is worth mentioning that even the Mia has a timer- stops when it's been on for a minute so you do know when you've finished, other than that- this review would have sped up my decision to buy!

  • You have come so far throu YouTube, and I am so happy for you. OMG you're going to be on a beauty [panel,! How do you feel about that, you look really calm :) x

  • @Hairandbeautylicious definitely a really expensive item, but I do think thats reflected in the craftmanship. I'd be happier if each version was £35-40 cheaper really!

  • Thank you for such an honest and thorough review. I've been going back and forth for months about getting a Clarisonic and I've been watching different reviews about them. Your review has been the most helpful and has been the deciding factor on purchasing one. You're such a great guru to watch. Thank you for all your hardwork.

  • I just got clarisonic mia week ago! =)))

  • Very detailed review :) I can see why you were chosen as a judge :)

  • @RiennaScarletEdge awh thankyou!

  • Thanks for the honest, balanced review.

I'm seriously considering ordering this from QVC as it is covered by their 30 day money back guarantee.

  • @notamakeupsnob I love mine, definitely one of those products that makes a difference from the get go!

  • @notamakeupsnob in italy we have qvc channel but you can't order on line, products are less than yours and i hate to do it by tv... luckily uk site sends here...!!! ^___^ kiss... fede

  • @notamakeupsnob plus qvc usually has them on easy pay! lovz

  • @notamakeupsnob You can order a new one from amazon for $122! i order one today!!!

  • Hi Gemma, Your review is fantastic :-) I know when I watch you I'm going to get a completely honest review :-) this is daft question but does a facial brush not do the same thing? I really want to buy A Clarisonic but am hesitant cuz of the big price tag. thank you xxx

  • @xxAveenxx Thankyou! A face brush is great, the body shop do a lovely one, but I find the bristles on the clarisonic a million times softer, its a different feel entirely, and I think the vibrations really help to massage the skin. A lovely tool, not essential, but really lovely! x

  • I feel I can really trust your reviews :)

  • I love your reviews and opinions, they are always so well thought out and comprehensive. Thank you!

  • I adore mine! It broke me out for the first 6 weeks, just pulling all the crap to the surface I guess but now my skin looks better than it has in years. I've had mine about 4 months and the improvement is very noticeable, I can't bear to not use it!! I don't think my pores have shrunk either but my scars are looking a lot better and my skin feels so soft. I'd never be without it again!

  • I have rosacea and very dry skin. I had perfect skin as a teenager but as I head deeper into my twenties it's just got worse and worse!

I've been searching for years for something that will help me, I'm hoping this might be it! I've been using Oilatum Natural Face Repair cream which does help, but may have to buy one of these after watching your video. Thanks!

  • What a very good review. Very honest also. Thanks~~Di

  • Thankyou this is really helpful! I'm still not sure I can splurg on one though, like you said it's hard to tell for yourself if it will make that much of a difference x

  • do you think is worth getting the plus one for the body brush or is the body one not that important?

  • @ohaipatricia I think its really handy if you use fake tan and like exfoliating, of course its not absolutely necessary but its nice, personally the handiest thing about the pro for me is the 3 speeds!

  • This is a great review. Love your videos!!! Thank you

  • Thank you

  • You definitely got the best category to judge, electronic things are usually the most expensive and the products aren't going to break you out! haha. The clarisonic looks great and your review was very thorough and good. I don't have access to it (or the money to spend!) but I did get a facial brush from the body shop, kindof similar haha! :) xx

  • your skin looks amazing ! I need one ! :D

  • Your skin looks sooo glowing - I need the Clarisonic in my life! xxx

  • helpful :)
