  • Hey Alycia! Nabilah here from Malaysia.I am 22 yrs old and I want to get fit. Your videos are inspiring and empowering. I love the fact that you dont look like a man like some other instructors. How to keep fit WITHOUT looking like a builder? Especially working with weights. And what is a typical lunch/dinner meal for you? Thanks.

    With love, Nabilah :)

  • @belleackles10 Hi Nabilah....thanks for your kind words :) I would suggest keeping the weights low and performing high repetitions..also for food, avoid overeating, alcohol, processed foods, junk foods, and drink a lot of water :) Thanks for watching...be well. Alycia

  • What do you use for energy before your workouts? Any supplements that you recommend for energy that are not food?

  • @brownkat2 Not really...I just eat a balanced intake of healthy nutritious foods :) be well. Alycia

  • hello when i do the leg curls on the swissball, i feel a really sharp stretch in my calf and hamstrings on the eccentric phase, is this normal?

  • @hunkyjelly Without me observing you myself I can not answer that question accurately. I would try to increase the flexibility and ROM in your calves and hamstrings for several weeks before engaging back in these activites. Please keep me updated...thanks...be well. Alycia

  • hello. i tried doing the dead lift ones for this with weights. but i dont feel anything in my hamstrings, i only feel it in my quads.. i've been working out my quads for a while now and theres an imbalance now. i need to workout my hamstrings for the sprints for school coming up soon... i did the one where you bend your legs and keep it soft, then i tried keeping it stiff but that didnt help either. i cant do the one where you do a hamstring curl.. what should i try?

  • @MrYelsgnik Ok, well if you are feeling more work in your quads they are either working concentrically or eccentrically...either way, you are right, you do need a balance of strength in both your quads and your hamstrings. Have you tried hamstring curls with a stability ball? They are just like doing hamstring curls with a machine, but all you need is a ball. let me know please. Be well. Alycia

  • Remember back in the day when YouTube didn't have commercials?

  • @straightxedge76 Yes....I do :) Be well. Alycia

  • Alycia, not only you're in great shape and know a lot about the human bod and how it works properly but it seems you figured out that we need to be in peace all together to look great. Your motivational speeches, and questions, is what I admire 'cause you really try to wake up the "beginners" as well as you are trying to "feed" the intermediate ones with great tips. You're amazing. Thank you, Gloria from Croatia =)

  • @zub0510 Thank you "Gloria from Crotia" :) I really appreciate your kind words. A friend of mine is actually traveling to Crotia next week. Be well. Alycia

  • This is Good =) i like your style

  • @kc28 thank you :) be well. alycia

  • I like supersetting deadlift with leg press. 10 sets of 10. Great combo of cardio and weights.

You could also tell them about lunges.

  • @thesix107 great idea...be well. alycia

  • im pretty sure that deadlifts are for back muscles

  • @geniusoftheworld not really. depending on your form. ideally deadlifts are targeting your hamstrings if done correctly. be well. alycia

  • lovethis

  • @insanemetalguy thanks. be well alycia

  • what happens if we work the other muscles and forget about the hamstrings there are so many muscles

  • @savealotakeem to generate the best results...and to be balanced and safe, it is very important to address all major muscle groups especially if you have an inbalnace somewhere. be well. alycia

  • I like the obstacle part and the way you presented it. Good job!

  • @Yessj thank you. be well alycia

  • i like doing the stability ball workout but i usually lift my butt up and down 10 times, then hold it for 10 secs, then roll the ball in 10 times. Gives a really good burn.

  • @MaximusNLS yes...that is an effective activity for glutes...be well. alycia

  • omgg

hehehe yeah i sometimes do that

    well niceee

    and thanks :)

    heheh

hope this belly we have dissapears :P

  • @amu1995 :) be well. alycia

  • if youre after fat loss, i would say increase your cardio and decrease the amount of calories you intake. be weary of how many calories you ingest on a daily basis. depending on how strict you are with your calorie intake, you can lose up to two pounds per week as long as you are exercising alongside the diet. run on a treadmil(or if you prefer, an eliptical machine for less strain on the ankles) for about 20 minutes to a half hour. that should burn a good amount of calories.

  • @Kenlac92 this is absolutely correct. cardio and diet much accompany your resistance training to reap the greatest results. be well. alycia

  • you have really nice skin.. would you claim it is from diet and exercise or the skin products you use?

  • @kr16794 make-up for tv...they make me wear it :) be well alycia

  • you are soo cool! I am get very inspired and motivated by your videos. Thank you so much.

  • @pisot that is so sweet. thank you. be well. alycia

  • nice workouts but i think using the bar instead of Dumbells 4 dead lifts is more safe. Also when your doing the straight leg dead lift its a safe tip to go slightly lighter in weight so it does not put to much pressure on your back.. this is for people who are new to the weight room.

  • @son1gohan you are absolutely correct...many people unknowingly put too much pressure on their back. be well. alycia

  • I use to do all of that when i was playing football, the ball steps up your games, good vidoes

  • @JOEEARLHARRIS thank you:) be well. alycia

  • Thank you for showing a deadlift!! I was just about to ask for a little clip!! Thanks your awesome!!

  • @willfish123 thanks. i appreciate the kind words. be well. alycia

  • Alycia, you rock! Your exercises and outlook make going to the gym so much fun! And when the other women ask me "Hey, where did you learn that?" I tell them. You're a hit in Italy now, lady.
