The purple light is the optical tracking sensor, which you cannot see with naked eye, but it shows up in camera.

Hi, one question: Is nokia e72 a robust phone? What I mean is jean pockets, trousers, and so on. I do fear that the metal shiny frame on the front (or the back cover) might be ruined.

Over all i like Nokia E72 bcuz previous i used Nokia E71, Nowadays E72 is very popluar in singapore and most teenager are using E72. I like the optical pad and 5mp camera, Very good phone

Thanks for the comment I've also heard some buggy software issues on the E72.

Perhaps I could expect hardware fixes and firmware update in the current batch of E52 that would make E52 a decent phone while I cannot expect to get hardware fixes on the E72 since it's been out for about a mere 4 months only though I'm aware there's already a firmware update to the E72.

well if u dont like the bulkiness..i recommend u take ur eyes off the e series ..an try out the nokia n86...i would say n95 but that model will fail after a time....so go with the nokia n86 because its ribbon is reinforced ...

Actually they just look similar. Under the hood, almost everything is completely revamped, starting with the processor which is almost twice as fast on the e72.

1. Keyboard ( really really important to me) because i didn't like the e71's keyboard at all.

2. How functional is the new email service on the s60's 3rd edition? Is it as good as windows mobile or Rim's email service.

I really want to know about these two things before making a choice, cuz i am really lost in whether to buy this solid device or the little bold 9700. can any1 help

windows mobile mail & Blackberry program much more better becuz Nokia email i dun really dun like , i feel like a bit slow. if u wanna use for MS exchange or Blackberry, u need to use specific device, but E72 can do a lot function,if u like s60 3rd series u will love E72. but my opinion u can`t compare the keyboard with BB , BB better. but BB ph for big hand. E72 is slim 10mm thinckness. u consider bro

The Keyboard is exactly the same. I have heard that the T, and Y keys being accidentally pressed instead of the other has been fixed

And I hear that the email client is one of the best, full HTML support, etc.

I think E72 is better,if u like the touch screen & big screen,i think u should go for N900, But E72 is sold and not bulky in ur pocket. And the battery life is more improve than E71. But E72 screen is small.

I have a E72 and I find that the navi key is harder to use than I had expected. It's not as sensitive as I would like, and the sensitivity setting does not solve this issue. Anyone else experiencing this?

The keypad is excellent better than e71 but the optical trackpad is a bit lack. not easy to use like blackberry 8520. but u can use 4ways nevg button.
