@talcaraz100 What?? American like "People from America" I hope!
Just for you (and your memory)...Gretzky, Lemieux, Roy, Flutie and many other are NOT from United States. I hope your "proud to be american" include all America!
Awesome video, but what really pisses me off, its that its supposed to show greatest sports moments in history, but they only show stuff that happens in the U.s, so there is not one vid of soccer, no maradona or pele, only soccer part was 1/2 second of U.s in women's world cup. That's one of the reasons.I hate the u.s, they think that the only good stuff happens here, but never in the foreign world.
@ASG89V2 This is an ESPN(US) video, 90% of its audience is American therefore all of the video is going to cater to what Americans watch. Americans DONT watch soccer. Simple. And cut the BS! if, for example, the BBC were to make a similar video it wouldnt have an OUNCE of basketball, baseball or American football in it. Itd be loaded with Soccer, Rugby and cricket. if youre going to argue for soccer you might as well argue for every other sport in the world.
Ridiculously entertaining...sad to see the clip of Monica Seles getting stabbed though at 4:34 ...Gretzky and Jordan the faces of hockey and basketball for me at least.
@ebigollo0311 That was a game winning play, the other teams band was on the field already thinking game was over but california kept throwing the ball around and took kickoff return all the way(which is difficult to do) for game winning touchdown
@lakingsiv Its Nancy Kerrigan 1994 WInter Olympics, she got clubbed in the right knee with a metal baton by Shane Stant. It was a planned assault by Tanya Hardings ex husband Jeff Gillooly he was accompanied by friend Shawn Eckardt. Recently her dad and brother Mark got into a struggle leading to her fathers death at 70. Mark was charged with manslaughter with the incident. Sad.
@bbri1991 actually I watched the video again and I noticed that they slipped it in at 3:55 ...just a really short clip and doesn't have the announcer but you're absolutely correct, espn LOVES the red sox lol
@thekiller678 yea i posted that before i saw it. definitely deserves more than a less than a second snippet tho. that was one of the great moments in sports (unless your from boston....which i'm not, haha)
@thekiller678 Yeah I know, check my reply to bbri1991 a day ago. And it would be so much better if they included the commentary b/c that's the best part. Just sayin'.
I love this video but they the last photo should be the punch that Joe Frazier knocked Ali on his ass, and won their first fight when both were at their peak. Down goes Cassius Clay, Down goes Cassius Clay
the editing of this video is awesome. this video, however, nowhere near represents the greatest moments of sports. i especially like the two-second ovation to lance armstrong.
@FullM3talGamer hey! It's your sister :P I barely saw your comment on this video all late. That guy is Wilt Chamberlain, a basketball player. He scored 100 points in a game, which is a record. 2nd place is 81 points.
@lordofwrath88: I forget the name of the song, but it's on the soundtrack to the movie "Hoffa" starring Jack Nicholson. Great song! This video inspired me to use it for the slideshow track for the slideshow at my wedding reception.
that's barry sanders bro..just search barry sander's highlights..you'll see more of those crazy feet..he basically had to do that every damn time to get his team ahead..what a crap team for such a great player..detroit lions by the way..boooo
a very young Wayne Gretzky, probably only 8 or 9 (i do not know for sure) only in his pee-wee league.....already showing the natural talent of a 15yr. old.......
Hell yeah, 3:34, the Big Unit and the M's beating the Yankees in the 1995 playoffs. We havent won any World Series Games here, so that was our biggest moment by far.
