Remington 7600 30-06 Target Penetration Test

I did a similar test with the same cartridge in a Remington 700. It ripped through 4 phone books and tossed them at least 15ft off a filing cabinet at 100 yards. In comparison a 12gauge 1oz slug can be stopped by 2 phone books at 10 yards.

i have the Remington 760 in 30-06 it was my dad he had it for 25 years and its been mine for like 3 years love the rifle would never sell it

Nice vid. I have a 7400 auto 30-06 and always have an eye out for 10 round(or bigger!) mags. I've had 10 Triple K 10 rounders(8 old ones & 2 new) that all sucked! If you know of other brands please let me know. Thanks and happy hunting!

@TheOJackuVulu Some years 10 to 20 rounds (sighting in and firing at game) other years 50 plus to work up loads or target shoot for fun. I have easily put 500 plus rounds through it to date. I clean it after each outing or hunt. When I was younger not so often.

@TheOJackuVulu I have had this gun for 25 years. I got it because several of my Uncles and my Grandfather had them for years. I love this gun. My Brother also has the same gun. We have never had an issue with them and we use them for deer and elk hunting almost yearly (when we can get drawn for tags). I would highly recommend this gun to anyone.

that last bottle woulda been thrown off to the side by the timber in front before it could penetrate. if it were all locked down would have gone right through and kept going. KAPOW

that is by no way a scientific way to look for penetration. but it looks fun :)
