@d103cc There is no safest seat on the market. They all pass the same tests, and some are farther away from the 'pass' line than the Britax Regent. All of the seats you mentioned will likely be outgrown by height before weight- I currently have a 5 year old in a Nautilus with less than 1 inch of growth before it is outgrown. And even in these seats children MUST be boostered until they properly fit the adult seatbelt- between 9-12 years old and around 4'9"-5", passing the 5 step test
@NicolaMonk I agree however this comment was written 8 months ago. Now there are much nicer seat by britax besides the regent. there are great seat by graco too. but britax has the highest height and weight. How safe the seat is depends on the weight and height of the child and the car. but age NEVER HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT. some kids sit in boosters far beyond age 8. I sat in a high backed booster until I was 14. I can fit into the britax parkway SG. But I pass the 5 step test
Too bad they didn't also raise the headrest behind the girl after putting her in the booster! A booster is GREAT, but whiplash injury is also a danger.
check the head rest.

car seat life
1. a child is born they rear face to atleast 45 pounds in a radian XT SL
2. then they forward face to 80 pounds or 53 inches
if this seat is not an option the second safe option is
1. rear face in a graco myride 65 to 40 pounds then forward face to 65 pounds in a britax regent aka the safest seat on the market
3rd choice
1. rear face to 40 pounds in a graco myride 65
then forward face in a graco nautilus to 65 pounds
