if you look at the video's explaining this trick they gonna say to replace your middelfinger with your indexfinger. look at the fingers of cyril, it stays the same

And btw, most tutorials on Youtube are crap, the only good one is "How to do the Rubber Band Trick Revealed - Step by Step Tutorial". Search that up, u'll see that the tutorial guy changed his fingers but then changed it back again.

at 0:23 he still holds the right hand thumb on the rubber band, but uses his index to get a new grip closer to the thumb, so that the rubber band gets on the outside of he "link".

But he still presses the bands against each other again, cause he wants us to think that he hasn't already pulled them off.

It doesn't look like they are separated, because the rubber bands are so thin and have the same color, so you can't see if the rubber band is on the inside or outside.

this trick isn't magic, I can do that as well, and I can tell you that to perform 30cm away from one's eyes without being revealed isn't impossible. This trick is really impossible to be revealed when you don't know the explanation, as the movement of the hand will cover the secret. You know I did show it to my sister 11 times in front of her eyes like that girl but she still didn't know how lol
