  • This is truely a sound edifice withstanding furious climate (I had to add).

  • Please be sure that this piece remains here. Mozart inspires, in me, decadence in my not-so-decadent life. Thank you for this eloquent contribution, thank you.

    MY SOUL RESTS. (LB)

  • Thanks... my child is playing since half an hour in silence and tranqulidad... I told him that I want to listen a good music from el famous Mozart... He asked me: Am I listen to it, too? :)... and my yellow bird(a kanari) is also listening to it and certainly singing... :)

  • @aniyeats Great! Funny, when I was in school I could never listen to music and study. I'd always get distracted from studying. :)

  • I'm not the biggest fan of Mozart or of the Classical period of music - I'm more of a 20th century period fan, but there's hardly any musical work that bests this.

  • Thanks for this upload, you've obviously put a lot of effort into it and I really appreciate it!

  • the novel "camp of the saints" is about a stupid, childish civilisation who thougt that nothing serious will ever happen again. its called western civilisation. then europa dies. one of the most childish idiots, a great thinker and left wing rebell, now a minister...he stop talking shit..he orders all radio stations to play this one...a good one for the end.

  • I sang this last year in my university choir, & it's just one of those experiences I'm never going to forget!

  • Poor Antonio... even after hundreds of years people only remember him as a jealous conspirator who lived in Mozart's shadow.

  • This is Chuck Norris' Ringtone.

  • I've been searching so long for this entire masterpiec but I couldn't find it till now. I owe you man!!!

  • @timpi3000 Thanks for writing... david

  • 52:54

    perfect

  • Rex tremendae majestatis!! is there anything in the world more beautiful?!

  • @Qamila1 Yes, there is Allegri's Miserere :)

  • why does this have just below 80.000 views and stupid f**k Justin Bieber's songs each between 2 and 15 million views?

I don't want to live on this planet anymore...

Thanks for uploading @davidhertzberg ! This masterpiece was exactly what I needed now, keep up the good uploading work

  • @anonymRoy I know that your question was rhetorical, but consider yourself a member of a small club of sorts. Then the number of views assumes a different proportion. :) Thanks for writing, I appreciate it. david

  • @davidhertzberg I guess you've got a point. But still, it is very sad that "my" club is so much smaller than theirs. There is true genius behind this, and I feel sorry for all the people, especially those in my generation (90s), who just don't seem to be able to connect to classical music whatsoever.

    You are very welcome David.

    take care;

    Roy

  • @anonymRoy I don't understand why you're upset about such a thing. It's actually a really small proportion of people who CAN listen to this type of music. The fact is, Mozart is "revealed" to you or it isn't. To most people he isn't.

  • @Kaarle15 Yes, you are correct I believe. In fact I think that it is possible to say this about most composers, from the renaissance up through the 20th century. To appreciate beauty and complexity in an intangible form (sound) is not something everyone can do.

  • @anonymRoy 500 years from now, people will still listen to Mozart. 2 years from now, nobody will care about Bieber.

  • @anonymRoy don´t worry in 20 years tops, nobody will know he ever existed.and there still will be people listening Mozart masterpieces.

  • thank you for sharing.

    i love it.

  • @niwuwu1 :)

  • Antonio Salieri, came on youtube 3 times - just to dislike it!

  • @3530JC :)

  • @3530JC You saw "Amadeus" ?

  • @softairece Yes, 30 years ago. I liked Tom Hulce, very funny.

  • @Kaaooru The Philharmonia Orchestra did, 220 years ago. Don't ask how.

  • davidhertzberg gracias por esta magnifica obra

  • My all-time favorite song. I listen to this at least once a week.

A true magical masterpiece that is an absolute timeless classic.

Thank you so much for posting this complete version.

  • Why is the Requiem description in six languages but not in english?

  • @brizzolato864e I decided that if the title were in English I should have the courtesy of describing the work herein in other languages, given the global audience for masterpieces such as this. Thanks for writing, david

  • 25:03 Tomb Raider Underworld. <3

  • Requiem is in my opinion his greatest.

but the title is a trap ;-) evrybody knows that mozart died while writing it down so it never was finished XD

  • @SuperShepperd Perhaps I should clarify that I use the word "Complete" in order merely to convey that this is not a five minute excerpt but rather the entire performance of what is generally known as Mozart's Requiem even though, as you correctly note, Mozart himself did not live to "complete" his own work. Thank you for writing, david

  • @SuperShepperd But the parts that Mozart didn't write himself, were the least complex parts that, through Mozarts entire carreer followed the same pattern as they have in his requiem.

  • @SuperShepperd Joseph Eybler and Franz Xaver Süßmayr finished it

  • @SuperShepperd actually, he did finished it, some days before he died he was at his bed and asked for his requiem, he saw the FINISHED score and cried. you can check it if you want to ;)

  • @parodycreator25 to be accurate: HE did not finish it. The last bits of the requiem were finished by Mozart's apprentice, who tried to follow Mozart's style as much as possible - in which he succeeded quite well.

  • @SuperShepperd Well it was mainly done by him and finished by a close disciple, taking in account the style know from his mentor and the say well defined forms of the time, it is a Mozart and Mozartian composition in my mind as much as all the others. I think several piano concertos and operas are at par with this one, my humble and not that knowledgeable opinion. :)

  • unspeakable.. thank you Mozart.

  • THANK YOU FOR THE UPLOADS OF MOZART AND RAMMSTEIN. MY WIRELESS HEADPHONES ARE FAILING TO TRANSMIT, MUT REMEMEBER THE NOTES BY HEART BY THEIR ORIGINALS. SO THANK YOU!

  • @nansuransu Hello, thank you for your note. What is the "Rammstein" that you are referring to?

  • @davidhertzberg rammstein is a band (6 men) from germany ... internacional famous , like them, too :) they have their own style to make music ;D

  • How can you dislike a video like this? Poor bastards...

  • Una sola palabra: MEFISTOFÉLICO (en el mejor sentido de la palabra)

  • @Clorilo Gracias, Sé exactamente lo que quieres decir.

  • thanks

  • Absolutely brilliant - both the piece and the performation, plus the recording of it!

  • I listened to this whole masterpiece while doing homework and man did it help! I love classical music!

  • @ambrooks5 JS Bach is great for math homework. :)

  • @davidhertzberg Oh absolutely. I'm in the process of becoming an Accountant, so yeah lots and lots of numbers!

  • This Requiem is one of my favorite pieces!!! It's great and it's unbelievable that Mozart didn't get to finish it and so his student had to do this. I can't tell both composers apart!!! His student has done a wonderful job!!!!

  • Great execution! Thanks for uploading!

  • great, thanks that you loaded it up this way ;)

  • Everyone on the planet should have the chance to hear that.

  • It is so beautiful.

  • fine experience the complete work-

  • The greatest complete work of the classical era.

  • This is real EPIC!!

  • WO BIN ICH HIER GELANDED :O

  • @Leon7592

    YOUTUBE!

  • In my opinion, this is Mozart's master work. And soon I'll tell him that, face to face!

  • amazing!!

  • Donath, Ludwig and Tear........ahhhh......

  • I didn't know that Helen Donath sang in this performance. I like very much this soprano, a specialist of Mozart's repertoire. And as usual, Giulini is gigantic. A Tenseness from the very first note to the last.

  • Igazán felemelő érzés hallgatni ezt a muzsikát ebben a kitűnő előadásban.

  • This gives me chills. Such strength! Such boldness! This is the pinnacle of human excellence.

  • @lapacker Thanks for writing.

  • @lapacker 100% Agree!!!!!!!

  • You...are an angel. Thank you. Right when I was looking for this, too. Great minds think alike.

  • SALUTE, DAVID

    AND THE COMPLETE PIE

    EACH BITE

  • un requiem d'une évidence absolue
