  • i was going to destroy station square , but then i took a hedgehog to the brain.

  • If there's no super sonic then how can there even be a perfect chaos?

  • I've noticed how some people say that Sonic has gotten stronger without the chaos emeralds just to beat Chaos. My opinion would be that perhaps it may not JUST take the emeralds to beat Chaos. It's not like Sonic has to be more powerful than Chaos to beat him; it's the weak spot that matters. If Sonic could attack Chaos' weak spot without the emeralds, wouldn't that mean some of the other characters could as well?

  • perfect chaos battle + his world KICKS ASS!!!!!! if you havent gotten the song get it then fight perfect chaos believe me you wont be disapointed

  • FUCK YOU ADS

  • @SuperBlackJack007 blame google they make the ads

  • I rather like sonic unleashed bosses than in this saga. . .

  • sonic adventure= best sonic

  • This battle looks like Sonic is trying to hide from Chaos a lot more than in Sonic Adventure. I appreciate that. He isn't as powerful here.

  • Best

  • how could sonic beat chaos that have 7 chaos emeralds. You're saying Sonic has gotten more powerful than 7 chaos emeralds chaos. That's ridiculous. That spaghetti hand shit could never beat.... okay this is one of reasons why i don't buy this game.

  • ...AM I THE ONLY ONE THAT DESTROYS THE BOOST BUTTON XD

  • wait, I don't remember chaos being a preteen sounding squeaker.

  • Perfect Chaos > Time Eater

  • Thumbs up if you think they shoulda let you go super sonic just for the old times :(

  • @Tastemychewits You can, you just need to get the chaos emeralds and 50 rings first.

  • this is the best boss fight in sonic adventure and in this game even more beast because of the new graphics

  • Sonic Adventure:The city is destroyed!!!

    (After 12 years)

Sonic Generations:THE CITY IS STILL DESTROYED!!!!

    thumbs up if you agree

  • @MrBarty23 lol no

  • cHAOS cRY GIVE pIT

  • So if sonic needed to go supersonic to beat chaos before it means that sonic is getting more stronger because he beat chaos without supersonic. :)

  • I just love how Sonic just looks at him. As if to say...

"Pssh. I don't need no Chaos Emeralds for this old shit."

Feel the blast processing of modern sonic biatch.

  • I get goosebumps from watching this..

    Love it :)

  • Can't hold on much longer

But I will never let go

    I know it's a one way track

Tell me now how long this'll last

I'm not gonna think this way

Nor will I count on others

Close my eyes and feel it burn

Now I see what I've gotta do

Open your heart, its gonna be all right

    awesome song

  • OMG Perfect chaos destroyed speed highway!

  • Urr, I'm not sure if that was really speed Highway.

  • mario wishes he could beat something like this... lol

  • perfect chaoskinda freaks me out. it's just the thing he did w/ his eye at 0:23 , plus his scream scares the chit outta me ! :s

  • theres no super sonic because sonic is saving the chaos emeralds for something else.

  • @Ninjazuki By the way sonic got stronger over the years so he does not have to be super sonic.

  • @Ninjazuki How many times are you people going to spread that ?

  • That's only fan-made speculation.

  • ?

Sonic beating Perfect Chaos without being in Super form!??

Lolz Fk outta here, i love Sonic and everything but theres no way Sonic is that strong. Sonics main weakness is water you expect him to be able to beat Perfect Chaos by normal means? Chaos would simply trap Sonic inside himself and drown him.

  • Sonic Adventure: "You can do it sonic! We believe in you!" *turns super, hard boss battle*

Sonic Generations: Sonic beats Perfect Chaos without becoming Super Sonic, it's an easier fight, and nobody needs to cheer him on.

  • Is anybody else there ?

  • god, this game would be so fucking PERFECT if not for the FUKKING GIMMICK MIDGET! TAKE HIM OUT, AND THIS GAME IS EXACTLY WHAT WE ALL ASKED FOR! YOU CANNOT DENY!

  • @Zkeleton969 Then what would be the point of the game? I think it's just fine with first generation sonic and brings back a good amount of nostalgia for the true fans of the sonic games...

  • @noobpwner109 simple, its just sonic trying to get back to his own time.

and i think green hill zone, the death egg robot, perfect chaos, the gun truck, and all those other things, would be enough nostalgia for anyone.

  • @Zkeleton969 Well, its a good thing you didn't have a the final say so during the development meetings for Sonic Generations over at Sega Headquarters then. You would've prevented the first GOOD gimmick that they've ever come across. Ever.

It was the lure of classic sonic that got me to try the game in the first place. Only then would I stay for modern. Putting in classic helped to rebuild the tarnished Sonic brand.

In the meantime, as a simple consumer, can play Sonic Colors.

  • I was disappointed when i saw it wasn't a super sonic battle. But i was just fucking mad when i tried to go super sonic after i beat the game and I COULDN'T.

  • @thegamer549 That's just SEGA screwing up with you. Don't be surprised.

  • Sonic is so awsome he doesn't even need his super form to defeat a god of chaos.

  • looks less realistic than the original?

  • I really wanted to see him go super though.

  • I don't need no stinking chaos emeralds! I can defeat Perfect Chaos with...A graham cracker!

  • @shadowlink301 omg i looooove you for that reference XD

  • its kinda shocking he didn't have to go super sonic.

  • its kinda shocking he didn't have to go super sonic.

  • THATS IT! really

  • the best boss remake EVER

  • 12 years.... and stations square is still flooded?

  • He went back in time, I guess.

  • Sh*t just got real again.

  • Comment removed

  • Had a serious nostalgiagasm throughout the dreamcast levels, and this boss fight was perfect to me xD

  • Since when was sonic able to beat perfect chaos without turning super?

  • @massaro600 sonic must of gotten stronger over the years

  • Actually, it's because SEGA doesn't let you use Super Sonic against any Boss of this game, except Time Eater. Besides, Sonic is carrying a few Chaos Emeralds with him.

  • @massaro600 He didn't need to turn super, he just had to run on the surface of the water. Something he couldn't do at the time without going super. But now he can boost to run across water, so he doesn't need to go super now.

  • @GrueRaaaaar Not really, Sonic could still run on water it just wasn't shown in the gameplay.. basically now Sonic is as strong as sadx Super Sonic, because he's gotten stronger in his past adventures

  • @yurmomguy Where in/before SADX was it shown that he could run on water?

  • @GrueRaaaaar No, ugh! I said Sonic could run on water, it's just that SEGA didn't wanna put it in the gameplay.. Sonic 3 was way before sadx and he ran on water in the aquatic zone

  • @yurmomguy You said it wasn't shown in the gameplay, by that I thought you meant in a cutscene. And by Sonic 3's aquatic zone, do you mean Hydrocity?

  • @GrueRaaaaar yep

  • @yurmomguy Forgot about how Sonic could run on water if he went fast enough over it in Sonic 3. HOWEVER, Sonic needed to build up momentum from rolling down a huge slope to do that. If you look around the battlefield, you should see there's none you can use.

  • Look again, four eyes.

  • @filipeflower I didn't say there were none PERIOD, I said there were none he could use.

None of the slopes that would give Sonic enough momentum are close enough to Chaos for the momentum to be conserved long enough for Sonic to get to him. Lets not forget that Sonic has to also run UPWARD through Chaos to hit him. (P.S. I'm not sure which battlefield you're talking about, but I'm assuming you're talking about DX.)

  • Better look again. Besides, Sonic doesn't really have to run down a hill to build up speed, since he can just use his SpinDash anytime he likes. As for the upward movements, that's what those arrow-marked boosters are for (you know those things in the Sonic games that make you run faster by just going through them ?). As for the battle field, I was reffering to the original DreamCast version, Director's Cut and this one in 'Sonic Generations'. It's not like SEGA can't do anything about it .

  • @filipeflower Did you try a spin dash in Sonic 3 to test your theory? And I was referring to how there were very few, if any, ramps in Adventure's battle with Perfect Chaos.

  • As a matter of fact, I did. In fact, other people already did that. It's not just a theory, it's fact. You don't really need too much space just to run above the water. As long as you use the Spin Dash at the right time, it's possible. And considering the fact that Classic Sonic's Spin Dash is more powerful in 'Sonic Generations', I wouldn't be surprised if he could do that again. And even without ramps, there's still "speed boosters" (if thats how they're called) spreaded across the place .

  • @filipeflower This isn't Classic Sonic fighting Chaos though. This is Modern Sonic, who's ditched his spin dash in place of more favorable moves. The speed boosters give Sonic a boost of speed he's unable to maintain, so his speed would falter behind the threshold needed and end up falling under. This applies to the spin dash too.

  • - I didn't say it's the Classic one. And whether or not those moves are more favorable, it depends on the user's point-of-view. And it wasn't Modern Sonic who ditched those moves, it was SEGA.

    - Unable to maintain for too much time, you mean. But in case you haven't noticed, there are speed boosters right in front of Perfect Chaos' body/neck. If you run out of boost, you can still use those (the rest is automated until he gets hit). Besides, it's not like SEGA can't do anything about it .

  • @filipeflower I'm trying to explain that Sonic needed to go super to beat Chaos the first time, the Generations battle doesn't affect my argument at all. Also you said it depends on the user's point of view which moves are favorable, wouldn't that mean that SEGA put made Sonic view those moves as unfavorable to him in place of others?

  • @GrueRaaaaar It wasn't just to beat him, you know. It was the only way to cancel the "vengeful soul" inside Chaos. It's never actually confirmed if Sonic really killed Perfect Chaos in 'Sonic Generations' or just knocked him out. In order to keep up the consistency, it's possible that Chaos rose again after some time and some of the people were watching what Sonic did before. That's why they were cheering for him later. And then Super Sonic comes. Otherwise, I'll just assume SEGA screwed up .

  • @filipeflower I can't make sense of what you're saying in the 2nd half of that. You're saying Perfect Chaos came back after Sonic beat him with the Chaos Emeralds, and that people were watching him that time too? Or are you saying that it's the same situation from Adventure, minus the emeralds?

  • OKay, I'll try to simplify this...what happened in this Boss fight is what happened before the Sonic from this time period showed up. (I'll try to explain the rest later)

  • @filipeflower So you're saying the Gamecube Sonic had yet to fight Perfect Chaos? I...guess that makes a reasonable amount of sense.

  • Why do you call him "GameCube Sonic"? 'Sonic Adventure' was also released for DreamCast and PC. Anyway, what I tried to say was this...the Sonic from 'Sonic Generations' shows up to battle Perfect Chaos in this time period. After he does that, Perfect Chaos gets knocked out for quite some time. Meanwhile, some of the people who survived witnessed what Sonic (the one from 'Generations') did to Perfect Chaos. And that's why they were cheering for Sonic (the one from 'Adventure') before he fought.

  • @filipeflower I call him that because the Gamecube is the most commonly thought of console when people think of Adventure (atleast when I think of it), and yes I got that.

  • @GrueRaaaaar Um, yeah I think you speak for yourself when you say the gamecube is what people think of when they think Sonic Adventure.

I'm sure that when people think SA, they think of it as the launch game for the Dreamcast. Back before the PS2 meant the final death nail for Sega's console division. So for the sake of clear communication, I'd call him the Sonic of the Dreamcast era if I were you.

  • @TheTrueHolyDarkness I'm still calling him Gamecube Sonic because

    1. Sonic had more games on the Gamecube than on the Dreamcast (7 vs 4, counting the collections.)

    and

    2. Sonic's Gamecube games are better known than his Dreamcast games.

  • @GrueRaaaaar 2. Hmm. Sure you're not making a broad generalized statement on that? :P

I predict you'll have continued communication problems that you'll need to acknowledge but whatever. If we took a survey I bet most associate it as the Dreamcast era but whatever floats your boat buddy. :P

And where do you get 7 main titles versus 4 main titles? Again, its all moot anyway buddy. I'm just saying people are prob going to be confused by your Gamecube label but w/e. :P

  • @TheTrueHolyDarkness I looked the Sonic game listings up on Wikipedia.

  • @GrueRaaaaar Huh? Ok I'll take you for you word for it then? All this is tomAto tamato stuff anyway. Maybe you're not the only one who thinks of it as a "Gamecube" era but for us oldie timers its the Dreamcast era during Sonic Adventure 1&2.

Just be aware of that I suppose? But I'm sure you are aware of that. ^_^

Why don't we just call it them the 16, 128, and 256 bit eras of Sonic? :P

Or not. Whatever. Just friendly small talk, arguing about nothing. x)

  • @TheTrueHolyDarkness Yeah, I was kinda tired of arguing anyway, what with a subject as pointless at the MW3 vs BF3 dispute, and people trying to make everyone fit within the gender sterotypes.

  • @GrueRaaaaar Arguing? I argue that it was actually more like pointless bickering!

I am right and you are wrong lol. :P

    ~TheHolyDarkness Out~

  • @TheTrueHolyDarkness Well, the reason why everyone thinks (including myself) it's the "Gamecube" era is because of the inclusion of Seaside Hill from Sonic Heroes.

  • @massaro600 since 2011

  • @massaro600 Experience- and now sonic can do the 'lightning bolt dash'

  • @massaro600 Because after 1998, over time, Sonic has gotten faster and stronger that he doesn't need the Chaos Emeralds to beat Perfect Chaos. When I played this level, I said, no Chaos Emeralds or Super Sonic? Shit just got real.

  • (i swear, if I had a coin evertime I heard fans saying that, I'd be rich)

  • Wait, wtf happened to perfect chaos? His head isn't green and blue

  • @theschnookle What I heard is that this how they WANTED Perfect Chaos to look originally. But there was some problems with layering it over the "water" effects so they just settled for a blob.

  • And you instantly believe that ?

  • @filipeflower i think it makes sense, the textures for perfect chaos always seemed off to me and the dramcast was the only thing that could even do water so I wouldn't be suprised if they pushed it close to it's limits or it didn't look godo is all.

  • But what makes you think they used the maximum potential of it back then ? Also, how can you be sure they had this planned back then ?

  • @filipeflower All I am saying is that it makes sense to me. The system was the best with graphics and simply put the only one to make water look halfway decent. The reason I believe it is that the texture work on the original perfect chaos seemed to be "scales" and I can imagine that they just decided to keep it at water for whatever reason. to me it makes sense to avoid doing extra features and hide how great your water was. That and it may not have looked to good, I'm just guessing ehre :)

  • First of all, did you bother watching the FMV? Perfect Chaos was still made of water in that scene (and the graphics from an FMV are way different than the graphics of the actual game). It doesn't have solid reptilian skin like in 'Sonic Generations'. Also, his head fin doesn't have his brain sticking out. He keeps his brain stored inside his head. Furthermore, they could have given him 2 more pairs of tentacles and back spikes. Do these people expect me to believe that's harder to do ?

  • @filipeflower ? I just think that the way they did perfect chaos looked like it had some "scale" texturing. Maybe it was the limitations of the time, maybe it's my own poor eyesight. I wasn't talking about the rest of him so I don't know how that's important to the conversation at hand.Secondly, generations is made on much better systems so comparing the potential they had to work with for the graphics is like comparing a cardboard box to a mansion.

  • @alsowikk Don't exaggerate! Even if the graphical display of the DreamCast had more limits than the current consoles, that is no excuse for not trying. The DreamCast has enough power to create solid skin for almost every character and yet they claim they couldn't do it with Perfect Chaos? Even the structural shape doesn't match. Besides, we don't really know what is the maximum capacity of the DreamCast, plus we can't read people's thoughts, so we can't be sure of what they planned back then.

  • @filipeflower Ok, now I'm just confused. all I'm saying is that the dreamcast was the only system that could pull off a good water effects. And following up on that there could be problems with trying to do something over them(maybe P.R. Didn't want anything distracting from the WATER EFFECTS?). All I heard was in some interview, one of the guys working at team sonic said they had wanted to do something closer to this perfect chaos's deseign but they couldn't for whatever reason.

  • (even Nintendo 64 had more detailed effects than that)

Aside from the fact that Perfect Chaos didn't have non-transparent half of skin, he had his brain buried inside his head, instead of having his brain sticking out of his head through his head fin. I don't care how crappy the DreamCast looks, there's no way they can excuse themselves for not trying to put his brain outside his head. Another thing...Perfect Chaos didn't have back spikes nor green teeth/horn/tongue. Not even in 'Sonic X'.

  • @filipeflower here

  • @filipeflower good

  • @filipeflower You're thinking of Hyper Sonic, Super wasn't actually seen in space until Sonic Adventure 2. In Sonic 2 it was more like he dropped back into the atmosphere. I am accurate enough, and whether or not it's lame is your own opinion.

  • Just because you only saw that in Sonic Adventure 2, that doesn't mean Super Sonic couldn't fly in Space before (I fully expect Super forms to be able to handle something like that). And no, I wasn't thinking of Hyper Sonic, I was really thinking of Super Sonic, because I could have sworn I saw a video with someone playing as Super Sonic flying in Space. If that was a hack or not, I'm not sure. But that still doesn't explain normal Sonic's case against Perfect Chaos.

  • Today, Sonic dont need transform into a Super Sonic to beat him :)

  • @AxlCeballos sonic was 8 years old back then now hes 20 and heck yeah without super sonic!

  • Again, pay attention to the Chaos Emeralds that Sonic is holding.

  • Kratos: Not bad for a hedgehog...

  • @skychase2rebirth XDDDDDDDDDDD

  • You really fucked up the beginning. You took the mega derp way.

  • OPEN YOUR HEART!!!!!

  • @PowerOfTheSaiyans: No. The Dreamcast Era boss for the 3DS version is the Biolizard (before his transformation into the Finalhazard.) Fun Fact: The 3DS version's Dreamcast Era can be seen as mostly a tribute to Shadow the Hedgehog - Sonic goes through one of Shadow's stages (Radical Highway), fights Shadow on said Radical Highway and beats one of Shadow's bosses (the Biolizard.)

  • I wouldn't call that a "tribute for Shadow".

  • THATS IT

    *takes out wallet*

  • lol sonic break dances! :D ima watch that again ^_^

  • I rather the original boss fight in Sonic adventures DX since you fight him as super sonic !!

  • Ugh Sonic simply got faster over the years, Super Sonic flies in space now, get over it.

  • @DarkspineTails Super Sonic has always been able to fly in Space, but that explanation is still lame and not accurate enough to be convincing.

  • @filipeflower Pics or it didn't happen.

  • What the hell does that mean ?

  • i remember chos was one of the hardest bosses in sonics history. and now sonic withoud his super form can found a dry way to him, so he dont have a time limit to kill him, and he must hit him only 3 times? bullshit!

  • so chaos is easier to beat when sonic do not have a superform... interesting...

  • @szymps nope he's just gotten so much more powerful over the years he no longer needs it. Classic sonic would have no chance here.

  • That theory is lame.

  • @szymps Yeah its weird XD

  • Half Action Stage + Half Boss + Epic Remix = AAAAWWWSSSOOOMMMEEE!

  • Awesome boss, I would have hoped the fight lasted longer though </3

  • no

  • I bought this game for PS3 and whenever I try to play it appears an error with some post numbers if someone can help me reply to this comment

  • This boss was a old boss, when you damage him, he teleport in a different spot and you are super sonic when you fight him

  • for everyone complaining about Perfect Chaos' new look, this was what he was originally gonna be on the Dreamcast but it couldn't be done due to hardware limits.

  • @JonnytheAwesomeGuy did you read that on the wiki? Becuase I just now did lol

  • @Iongcat Um yea. But also I unlocked his concept art.

  • @JonnytheAwesomeGuy If you actually believe that, then you're more gullible than I thought.

  • And you automatically believe that without questioning ?

  • @filipeflower it's in the Sonic adventure concept art and you can see that was his original design.

  • Is that all you got ?

  • where is Super Sonic?

  • @SuperRichardjoe He doesn't transform into Super Sonic due to his newer abilities, like boosting.

  • @SuperRichardjoe It wasn't here because it wouldn't have made sense plot-wise because chaos emeralds are tied to the plot.

  • Is perfect chaos only availiable to fight in the cosole versions? I haven't fought him on the 3ds version.

  • Comment removed

  • @PinkMistful Thats because normally when a ds/3ds version of a game comes out its normally no where near as good as the same game on the consoles

  • @PinkMistful He's a console exclusive boss.

  • @PinkMistful Yes. Aside from a few exceptions, the 3DS version has a different set of levels and bosses.

  • perfect chaos is from sonic x

  • @basilaz Originally from Sonic Adventure 1. SA 1 came first before Sonic X. : )

  • @basilaz Wrong, Sonic Adventure.

  • Dang it, is Perfect Chaos in Sonic Generations for 3DS? I loved this fight on SA1, and I would love to fight this boss again. (Yes, If i wanted I could fight him right now, I still have the game, lol, but I want to fight this one too.) :3

  • Despite the fact that his boss battle is SUPER easy, I got stuck at the 3 part round 2:48 :D

I just always kept falling into the water for some reason!!!

    What a fail gamer I am :D

  • I guess Sonic was kidding when he said "I'll play with you some other time" in SA1.

  • This isn't fair! Sonic is abusing a poor, innocent Chao! :(

Bring Perfect Chaos into Chao Karate and then we get a VERY different story!

  • Shouldn't sonic be super sonic for this fight?

  • @legomotion836 He has become much stronger and skilled since Sonic Adventure, Sonic doesn't need to go Super for this one. ;)

  • @legomotion836

Well... If Perfect chaos was the final boss in Sonic Generations, Sonic would have collected all of the chaos emeralds by then.

  • @Smashlikeapro124 That explanation of yours actually makes more sense than the whole "experience power" thingy.

  • Epic!!!

  • how did you get an S i beat this boss in a better time and got an A !?

  • @slickmcquick128 did you die during it? one thing i know is to S rank a level or boss fight not dieing is one the requirements, but you also gotta be quick about what your doing too.

  • This is how I imagine this scenario went in the past:

Tails: Wow, that hedgehog did all of that without going super! I'll be his friend now! *Leaves*

Amy: I think he'll make a better boyfriend than you, Sonic! *Leaves*

Knuckles: He'll probably make a better rival to! *Leaves*

Omochao: Probably easier to train to! *Leaves*

    Tikal: Ditto! *Leaves*

Big: He can keep Froggy safe! *leaves*

Eggman: That hedgehog is a bigger threat to my plans than you, Sonic, I must stop him! *Leaves*

    Sonic: Goddamn it.

  • anyone else singing along to open your heart?

  • At 00:07 if you see perfect chaos glowing brain :o

  • can u recanise the streets are from speed highway

  • @annoyingorange57 Uh recognize?

  • @RugbyPeter That's probably because you suck. >_>

  • this boss is a bastard. I hate the fact you dont really know what sonic is doing then you fall in the sea. I HATE new sonic. bring back the old dude, he was much more responsive and didnt 'dash' off the side allt he time!!

  • @RugbyPeter You just suck at modern Sonic.

  • So before, he had to be stopped by Super Sonic, now Sonic can kick his ass without that power? INTERESTING
