  • the Usual Katyusha the BM-13 carried 16 132mm Rockets and the Nebelwerfer 41 Carried 6 150mm HE-Incendiary...

So the Katyusha will bring forth more explosives at the target than the Nebelwerfer.. on the other hand the Nebelwerfer is more accurate (tho generaly all Rocket Artillery is inaccurate)

  • not to mention the Katyusha was truck mounted and much more mobile than the Nebelwerfer

  • eeeem, werfer has 7 times not the distance and effectiviness of a Stalin organ. Very very unrealistic.

  • they sound like laser guns XD

  • @jinnwarior

That was what I thought first time I heard the sound of rockets in WW2 documentaries...they sound like something outta Star Wars...

  • screaming mimis!

  • nebelwerfer ftw. heas better than the katyushka 10 times better

  • @SuperNikkkes You are wrong, katyshas were much better than nebelwerfers: Katyshas has more mobilyty, arms (16 vs 6 at nebelwerfer), distance of shooting katyshas: 8,5 km nebelwerfer: 8 km. So dude stop telling bullshit if you dont know the facts!!!

  • @Alexanderanchik One word: Panzerwerfer.

  • In the game it give out a more bigger explosion, he got low graphics that is why.

  • LOL :D hahaha

  • crappy graphics and sounds!!

  • In reality moaning thingy haven't half a chance in the duel with Stalin's Organ. Which outstripped it in RoF and mobility, and most likely (depending on situation and ammo) in precision.

  • @TBeholder areyou pulling facts out of your ass?

  • @TBeholder Why would you say that the Katyusha outmatches the nerbelwerfer in mobility? Just because it was always mounted on a vehicle? That's a disadvantage if you ask me. The German nerbelwerfer was mounted on halftracks as well as AT gun carriages. This means that if the halftrack breaks down due to damage or mechanical failure, the nerbelwerfer can be relocated to an AT gun if needed. A Katyusha cannot.

  • @TBeholder Also you say it's better in RoF, but the nebelwerfer had a greater range (even on its 15 cm version) than the Katyusha and used a spin-stabilizing design making it more accurate than a Katyusha.

  • @galacticboto

Katyusha was better for shoot-and-move, which would be the case in a duel - for one, larger salvo.

All are unguided rockets, so at the long range it would be a gamble, not sniping. Though the max ranges are BVR, meaning it's more up to recon anyway.

  • @galacticboto

Stats depends on the ammo. If to be specific we'll take 150mm Nebelwerfer 41 vs 130mm BM-13-16, max range is 6900m for 150mm vs. 8470m (but with scatter 51x257 at 3km) of basic M-13.

    80-mm: Germans haven't a counterpart. 300-mm: ahem, siege weapons. =)

Stabilizing these was a problem, yes (until 1943 releases of "improved accuracy" jet spin up and turbojet ammo). But it's way more important for "a plane tries to nail a tank" game than for this.

  • @TBeholder Yes but the Katyusha could only accurately hit a target at a range of about 5500m. This is NOT better for dueling IMO. The amount of explosives the Katyusha could deliver in a short timespan was great though and worked very well for psychological warfare, but besides that, I don't think the Katyusha was a superior piece of artillery in terms of effectiveness.

  • i dont think katysha is weak tha werfer :X

  • @angerfistsleart Welll actually i think the nebelwerfer fires and 88mm while the katysha is a 60mm or something like that..................................

  • From what game is this video&

  • Look at the title you idiot: Spring 1944.

  • No, Lag-ism

  • @JSmithv099

BRAVO, You get a cookie! Anybody would know it's a game :P

  • I look forward to completion of this mod
