The opening wisecrack, or, pun in ALL of the L&O "family" shows is one of their trademarks. But mycah808 is right. Jerry Orbach (as Lennie Briscoe,) did the best .

There was just something about the way he delivered the wisecrack/pun that made them standout. It's too bad that Dick Wolf couldn't get TNT to pick up new episodes.

LA Los Angeles is ok, but I miss Lupo, Bernard, McCoy and Cutter - those guys were the best!
