  • RIP headphone users...

  • Honestly if Pittman has any pride in him, he should have shot himself after that humuliation. Yes, Karlin is the greatest wrestler of all time, and he had total destruction fights before, but this was supposed to be very competitve and Pittman was dupped as the next American dream, well guess what the American got his ass kicked and to add insult to injury he was dry humped by Karlin before beingt hrown out like a bitch. Wow, very impressive indeed for the Russian and F*** Pittman

  • Rest in peace headphone users

  • Это даже не прилично))

  • Greatest Wrestler of all time!

  • Juice?

Karelin quotes "No one can believe that I am natural. The most important drug is to train like a MADMAN - really like a madman. The people who accuse me are those who have never trained once in their life like I train every day of my life."

    -Alexander Karelin, 12-time World Champion

    Karelin's credentials:

    WORLD CHAMPION - 1989, 1990, 1991, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1997, 1998, 1999

    OLYMPIC CHAMPION - 1988, 1992, 1996

    Junior World Champion - 1985

  • @1sysyphus who won WC -96?

  • @jagjagjag009 It was the olympic year--no world event.

  • @1sysyphus ah, ofc...tnx

  • That juice takes you to that next level kids

  • Fuking nice pump there at the end :D

  • Guys consider that the guys competing in the Olympics have to pass steroid doping tests very often. I'm not saying that some haven't cheated but an athlete of the stature of Karelin is a much "cleaner" athlete than those in professional sports. He was pure talent, raw power and a true sportsman.

  • It is not fair Craig is 110 kg and karelin 130

  • Its really stupid to compare Karelin to stars of other sports. What's the point in comparing him with Fedor or Muhammad Ali or Undertaker? They are all legends in their own sport and it makes no sense to do a comparision. Yes, Karelin was the greatest wrestler ever; so what - Muhammad Ali was arguably the greatest boxer ever, and Fedor was arguably the greatest MMA fighter ever. Undertaker can walk the top rope and also tombstone Mark Henry. Each one brilliant in their own business. Why compare?

  • Please guys, please. Let´s talk about Karelin, Wresting, the Olympics, whatever. Just don´t come up with Brock Lesnar. It´s the same as comparing Karelin with the Undertaker, Gorbatschow or Donald Duck.

  • This Guy is Evan drago 2x

  • Sgt Craig Pittman!

  • Karelin is THE man!!! He would be in a league of his own in mma

  • @mihailmokan acctually, that may not be the case. there are many great wrestlers that doesnt transfer over to mma that well... but who knows, right.

  • this guy is a fuckin monster. He looks like he could easily be competitive in those strong man competitions... anyone know if he's done any?

  • @kamikazefighta

He did take part at the strongman competition once, he placed 6th but from what I heard he was doing every event very carefully to avoid any injuries.

  • He looks like Michael Bisping, if Michael Bisping were Hulked up like the green monster Lou Ferigno.

  • Karelin was the best ever.

  • Russian Neckbreaker from WWF No Mercy!

  • 100 dollars says he cuts weight from 300 pounds to 286 lbs.

  • Karelin=Zangief

  • blya figna ne kakoi techniki ne4o netu ka4ok i vso tupa

  • @MegaPiffPaff ti s uma sashol?

  • красавчик!!!

  • what a freaking monster lol

  • Alexander Karelin looks tremendously scary. This guy looks like he can squad a thousand pounds

  • The only 4 limbed creature that has a consistent shot at Karelin is a prime silverback gorilla.

  • @CottonmouthBev He IS a prime silverback gorilla!

  • @CottonmouthBev I thought he was fighting a silverback gorilla on this match??

  • New Favorite Sport.

  • karelin's body is awesome. arnold schwarznegger awesome

  • Саша порезвился...)

  • LOL at the losers posting multiple paragraph-long responses, bothering to argue with one another in the comments section of YouTube. Seriously. Get laid.

  • @Chubzdoomer

Well I think that our little argument gave much more to this video section than your so called comment, that didn't include no mention about Karelin or wrestling whatsoever.

  • @hansul No, not really. You two are like little girls.

  • @Chubzdoomer

I take that as an compliment, girls are sweet creatures and they seem to have head full of wise thoughts, unlike our gender ;)

  • @hansul Pedobear approves this message!

  • @Chubzdoomer

Just when I thought that I wouldn't had to hear words like "epic" and "pedobear" mentioned anymore...

  • @hansul There will always be a Pedobear. And he's always watching over you.

  • @Chubzdoomer

Chris Hansen will stop him someday, you'll see!

  • (continues) about what's happening around you, whereas when you're clear minded and completely aware what's happening in the center of a greco wrestling match, the situation is tough to handle. When you're brains are not being damaged, your senses are top-notch and there's no way to hide, the situation has a strong affect to you and you are forced to face the moment in all it's toughness: the fear of getting pinned, being throwed, the fear of making a mistake, that's mental toughness.

  • (continues) the match would be over pretty soon since you would make a big mistake when you're not able to think clear. If a boxer can go all the way to the end of the match even when suffering concussion, that only proves that a boxer doesen't have to have a high level of constant thinking in order to avoid mistakes. Also, when you're suffering small concussion and, like you said,"literally forget where you are" it's actually easier to handle the situation when you're almost clueless...

  • hes like the captain america of russia....Captain Russia

  • wtf karelin lik 100 percent muscle hell kill lesnar

  • THE SARGE!!! I SALUTE YOU!

  • Let da nIGA hit da flor

Let da nIGA hit da flor

Let da nIGA hit da ...floooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooor

  • What is absurdly stupid is posting a video with the fucked up sound....duh puts some music over it!!!!

  • @wardbundle Wrestling matches shouldnt have music in my opinion. Unless its a highlight reel. It takes too much away from the match.

  • POLAR BEAR

  • What a Beast!

  • imagine he has a hold of you...

  • Karelin forever. He is is now part of Wrestling History

  • is that the same craig pittman from wcw ?

  • @petrar4 yes

  • i would fight him in mma, i would just jab and move on his big azz

  • @iwanttofight69 Your fucking retarded

  • @cooltoon666 Word!!

  • so fn tuff mofo picking dudes up is hard stuff bro

  • look at those combats

    sooo nice

  • @HelloMyNameIsTyson i know its killing me!

  • Damn, I only weigh 190 but I would love to see how long I could last against him.

  • @jibberingjon

    depends how fast you run.....

  • Karelin is AWESOME. He looks like a Spiderman Villian.

  • Look at the look on Karelin's face after that second reverse lift

  • как тряпочку.

  • its like he's not even trying!!

  • at 3:14

, pretty sure he saw black jesus.. then died.

  • хахаххаха

  • it hurts nigga !!

  • shit, he tosses that black dude around like a rag doll! i bet he could force chuck norris to a draw....maybe

  • heh comparing Karelin and Lesnar is the most stupid thing that one can make in his entire life

  • @GeoGarmeo People who've never wrestled can't appreciate what Karelin did or how great he truly was.

I try and explain to them, imagine Wayne Gretzky, Michael Jordan, Jerrry Rice and Muhammad Ali's accomplishements combined being dwarfed by this man.

Not a single point scored on him for 6 years in international competition. Won every gold medal for greco roman wrestling from 1988 to his 2000 upset at the olympics.

Brock Lesnar was an all american who didn't even compete at this level

  • @rrtodd95 no doubt he is probably one of the greatest atheles of all time, but you cant measure his accomplishments against someone like wayne Gretzky, who competes in a team sport. A man like Gretzky averages 2 goals a game one season, in the world of hockey that is a mind boggling concept.

im just suprised there arent more heavy weights in grecoroman who are as strong as Karelin, seems like a pretty straight forward advantage considering hes doing lightweight moves on guys who way 280.

  • @Aspartan3

You want put Wayne Gretzky against Russians?

    LOL

    Good luck

and I already sorry for you and your beloved Gretzky

Gretzky will start washing Karelin underwear and you will be Superwiser LOL

  • @wg390 hmmm? last i checked Karelin and Gretzky competed in different sports. Wayne Gretzky has put up more points and goals then anyother russain nhl player, thats a fact.

the reason why i said you cant compare Karelin to Gretzky is because the simple fact that the sports are to different, for instance a hockey player cant go undefeated like a wrestler can. i suggest you work on your english before acting like a retarded animal over the internet.

  • @Aspartan3

The measurement is pretty easy to do since wrestling is no doubt harder than anything else, animals settle their hierarcy purely by wrestling (greco style that is) and same goes with the people. Classical wrestling demands everything you got both physically and mentally so you can't even mention an hockey game or any other thing when you're speaking bout' wrestling. The ancient greeks knew that and people of today should also at least try to understand wrestling's supremacy.

  • @hansul guess what im a wrestler myself, i know what a demanding sport it is, but dont act as if all other forms of competition are belittled by it. i know for a fact that a swimmers workout is more brutal and intense then most wrestling workouts. Wrestling isnt better then any other sport period. Karelin was one of the greatest, but theres no way his accomplishements can be matched to greztkys because the fundmentals are so different. dont act like wrestling superior to everything else

  • @Aspartan3

Greco is the only true sport there is whereas the other "sports" are in fact just games. Swimming makes you tired, but it doesen't demand you to have maxium strength, power or the most important, the brain work. Cross-country skiing or cycling may also tire you up but it isn't tough like classical wrestling is. 3 to 5 minutes of greco wrestling full throttle, that's tough, demanding and brutal. Gretzky or any swimmer there is lacks the guts needed to practice greco, they're unequal.

  • @hansul if that is what you beleive, then you are truly a narrow minded fool. let me ask you this, have you ever once played a hockey game, swam in a swimming meet, cross country meet etc?

  • @Aspartan3

Please cut the hostility, there's no need to call me with such names.

Yes, I have gone through "taxing" sessions in both cross county skiing and swimming and I have also played hockey and rugby (which is by far the most toughest team sport but still isn't nowhere near of greco roman wrestling).

I like to try out every form of activity that there's out there but time and time again my experiences strengthen my opinion: Greco Roman Wrestling is supreme to everything else.

  • @hansul im only hostile because i would think a fellow wrestler should realize that no other sport is more "supreme" than another.

tell me do you beleive greco roman wrestling is tougher then Boxing? imagine 15 2 minute rounds and by the 7th round you probably already have a mild concusion and you still have to got for and 16 minutes.

i know what you mean when you talk about how much it takes to wrestle, but there are people who put just as much effort into other forms of compitation.

  • @Aspartan3

Classical wrestling sure is tougher than boxing, It's pure physiology. In greco wrestling you're having grip from your opponent all the time, that means that you are pulling, pushing and squeezing him all the time, which means that your muscles are constatly working (both your upper and lower body muscles (as well as your brains)). In boxing you must keep your arms up all the time, this means your shoulders are also tensioened all the time, but it's just static tension... (continues)

  • @Aspartan3

(continues) of the shoulder area, you are not getting every single muslce of your body working all the time since boxers are not throwing punches at each other all the time because part of the time they are either moving around the ring or clinching. That's why you can go lots of rounds with high tempo in boxing, whereas in classical wrestling it's impossible to go long period of time with such a tempo. Also, eventhough the punch of a boxer involves full body movement.... (continues)

  • @hansul your point of view is a very bias one. i know what a greco roman wrestling match feels like. greco roman may have more strain on your muscles, but can you think straight when you've been hit so hard you literally for forget where you are? ill tell you right now boxing is the sport which requires the most physical and mental endurance. doesn't matter whether or not you've achieved maximum strength when your brain cant function properly. don't devalue the accomplishments of others.

  • @Aspartan3

Well I guess your head feels shaky also in MMA or muay-thai or any other fitness activity that involves getting your head hit but it isn't a sign of mental toughness. Real mental toughness is the one that you can see in classical wrestling: one mistake and your opponent will take an advantage from your mistake. It's also possible to get small concussion in a wrestling match too (but that luckily almost never happens) and if that would happen and you couldn't think straight anymore...

  • @Aspartan3

(continues) boxers legs are not getting worked as much as the upper body/core area in an intensive situation, where the boxers are changing punches with a great speed. That's why the exhaustion is not as overall as it is in classical wrestling. So to sum my point up: The ongoing work that every single muscle of your entire body is going through for the whole match (without even mentioning the full spectre of fitn. components that wrestlers are able to handle) is completely unique.

  • @rrtodd95 very very well said but people that dont know jack bout a sport usually like to talk, remember when Karilin got beat in 2000 he had been in international competition for close to 19yrs and not taking anything away from Rulon but sooner or later even a legend gets to that time where he or she just cant do what they were used to.

  • @dimka171 Karelin lost because he said he researched all his opponents and trained to fight every potential matchup.

then a few months before the olympis, Rulon put on 60 pounds of fat and Karelin hadn't trained to handle that extra mass, he was training to be as strong as possible but when you train mass, you sacrifice cardio so it was a brilliant tactical step that Gardner took.

  • @rrtodd95 --

Whats the weight difference between karelin and pittman??

  • @mikemarc92 Well, Pittman didn't win every world title in wrestling for 11 straight years having only 1 point scored on him in 6 of those.

  • @mikemarc92 Sorry, didn't see the weight difference part.

In this match I'm pretty sure they're roughly the same weight class. Pittman's body type is roughly the same size, I'm sure Karelin wasn't more than 20 pounds heavier tops.

2000 was the last year that there was no weight limit for super heavyweights.

  • @dimka171 karelin lost that match bc of a cheap new rule that gave rulon a point, a rule that no longer even exists. rulon never bested karelin he was too fat to move around.

  • @rrtodd95 Not to mention that he didn't even wrestle Greco Roman lmao. He wrestled Folk style I believe.

  • @GeoGarmeo Karelin Would Destroy Lesnar

  • What a fucking monster! Unbelieveable! I hate that Karelin guy for making it look so easy!!!

  • how tall is karelin and how much he weighs?

  • @serichejr 6' 4" and over 284 pounds

  • @serichejr he's 6'4 and competed at 286 lbs according to wiki

  • almost killed the guy

  • this is just 2 guys who are in different classes.......... then again karelin is in his own class by himself

  • As much as I love greco-roman wrestling...I just wish we could have seen this man in his prime in the UFC. Would have been epic. War muthafuckin Karelin!!

  • @JLSealy2 In all honesty if he took up MMA at about 23 and got 2 years of striking and jiu jitsu training under his belt Karelin would have been as close to unbeatable as you can get in MMA. Who could stop this guy getting a take down? Would love to have seen it but the UFC only got so big at the end of his career.

  • owned

  • poor Craig Pittman

there is no way to win against this super man :DD

  • a beast!!!!!, such an athlete like this comes very rarely...size, speed, and power beyond your wildest dreams...at close to 300 lbs, cut like a diamond..

  • look at his muscles at 3:44. Dry, lean, pure meat, where every fiber of it works when needed. lots of strength and stamina!!!

  • @mikado201019 i wanna have that body!!!

  • I think Karelin could lift 2x or maybe 3x of his own weight, Superhuman

  • Karelin's golden days were in 1990-1992. Before that he was very good, but from the days of Atlanta (1996), it was clear that he could not win easily by suspending his opponents' shoulders. I really feared that the stupid rules of Graeco-Roman wrestling might make him lose a match to someone who was no match for him, and that's what happened in Sydney (2000).

  • our (jenkins middle school) wrestling coach said look this guy up...this is just wow for people who dont wrestle by the first time he picked him (craig) up most people would be dying and want a gallon of water i look up to this guy u should to!

  • How he picked him up twice like that after wrestling for minutes ... and looked like he didn't even break sweat ... I don't think this is human. I have to watch it again.

What a beast! I am lost for words!

  • Krasava Karelin!!!Rysski' boatur',ni odin narod ne obladaet tako' silo' kak Rysskie.

  • Karelin did indeed deadlift 400 kg at a swedish training camp, the swedish coaches where joking with him, telling him that all swedish wrestlers above 90 kgs (200 lbs) could deadlift 400 kg, they never thoght he would make it, but instead, karelin picked up the bar 3 times, I've heard this from a person who was present at the event, he said he couldn't believe his eyes.

  • @Givven

These kind of numbers tend to get inflated as the time goes by...

  • @Givven That is just a story, there is no proof. The man is a legend, of course people will have ridiculous stories. There is also a tale of him benching 300kg or something like that here in sweden in a training camp.

  • KARELIn is great! But before him ,in FREE_STYLE was the GREATEST of ALL: IVAN YARIGIN!!! May he rest in PEACE!

  • KARELIN is GREAT! But don't forget ,before him,in FREE_STYLE,it was the GREATEST of ALL: IVAN YARIGIN!!! YARIGIN for ever! He was the BESSSSTT!!!

  • that was incredible

    Super POWER

and dont respond to me that some american shit is better

Karelin will put this american shit into russian garbage ...

If you not agree go and tell it to Karelin

  • @wg390PHOENIX aight dude gosh there are many different types of wrestling i do america folkstyle, but freestyle on the side, but greco roman does look very interesting and this guy i mean wow that strength and size like wow big guy

  • @wg390PHOENIX He lost to Rulon Gardner! LOL No one is invincible. No one!

  • @coconutsavage

Yes. Alexander WAS invincible in is prime. When he lost to Gardner it was the year 2000, and he wasn't as strong as he was in the 80's, and 90's...he was still strong, but not as strong. The saying "No one is invincible." is a reference to age. No one is invincible, because we all age.

  • @SundiMundi the saying, "No one is invincible." is a reference to the fact that everyone, no matter how well they do what they do, has flaws. Aging is not a flaw. If we didn't age we could never mature. Let's look at the facts here. Karelin is from a country that has been producing thousands of greco-roman wrestlers for decades, yet he was beaten by a man who comes from a country where most people don't even know what greco-roman wrestling is. He was flawed, so he lost.

  • @coconutsavage stick to WWE and all that crap that fucktards like you with inverted penises enjoy. Let GR/FS wrestling for those who enjoy true sport and appreciate a great sportsman.

If you say that in USA most people don't know GR wrestling then you are either a troll or just plain ignorant stupid. Most US schools teach GR wrestling dumbass.

As for Karelin he IS the greatest wrestler the world has ever seen. His loss? Doesn't really matter. He's got a valid excuse for that. Dumbass coconut.

  • @CavalerVlah Please, keep a civil tongue in your head. This is a public forum and no place for name calling or foul language. Most US schools DO NOT teach GR. One style is taught in high school, another slightly different style taught at the college level; neither are for FILA competition. These styles allow attacking the legs which GR doesn't. Most US wrestlers don't learn GR and never will. Your assertions are wrong. Get your facts straight. P.S. Most people have excuses for losing. :-)

  • @coconutsavage For your own knowledge: there are 2 types of competitive wrestling: greco-roman (GR) and free-style (FS). Read my previous post carefully. In USA schools they teach either of two with the FS being more common. But you to say that most americans have never heard of GR borders stupidity or malice.

Nobody is invincible: age factor and fatigue kicks in. We all are mortal. But legends live on. Karelin is a true warrior who fights to the end whatever that may be. W.H.I.T.E P.O.W.E.R.

  • @CavalerVlah most Americans are familiar with amateur scholastic wrestling used in junior high and high school. And some know about collegiate wrestling which is a slight variation of scholastic. None of these is FILA freestyle. High schools and junior high schools don't teach GR and this is where most of the wrestlers in the U.S. practice the sport. Most Americans aren't amateur wrestling fans and don't know GR. In fact, most Americans couldn't even tell you the name of a current GR champion.

  • @coconutsavage I wouldn't be able to tell you who the current champion is either. That's not the point. Wrestling is wrestling. If no-one ever practiced or even seen it live they still would be able to tell you it's wrestling, even women. That was the point i was tring to make as reply to your comment that in USA nobody ever heard of GR or FS wrestling.

  • @CavalerVlah in general, when people "know" a sport they know the people at the top of it. I'm sure that GR has been on TV in the U.S., I'm also sure that the vast majority of Americans have never watched it and are unfamiliar with it. Since the majority of US wrestlers are in junior high & high school, most never learn GR since this is not the style taught at those levels. And most Americans are simply not interested in wrestling at all. Get it?

  • Karelin's power is uncanny! He just tossed Pittman around like a rag doll!

    Karelin rules!

  • second time, it did hurt

  • that's a big dude

  • this guy is just amazing!

i dont think there will be another one , they will have to clone him again! '

or genetecaly modify another one like this

  • This man could throw Brock Lesnar around like a rag doll.

  • @Ryanusaurus UFC has tryed to get him to compete but he says no

i kno that 5 years ago they offered 1 million dollars - and yes he would throw lesner around like a 3rd grade girl- his level of wrestling is far better

  • @vontrop That's not true at all.

  • Comment removed

  • he is the greatest wrestler ever lived and he got robbed at the olympics by the american i fogot his name, and im american
