  • Hallo, Sid Arthur 'ere. Apples or pears, dog 'n bone, the middle way that's what I think. Whaja want? Quarter pound 'a rosberries? No problem, 'ere you go...Buddhism, take it or leave it.

  • Fwom! You like that? No? Ok I'll put it in the garage. Shit, I haven't got a garage, fwom!

  • I made my own religion, I worship my penis. Sometimes when I pray to it and ask for bolts and honey bees, then it glows in the night and whistles the Titanic tune.

  • WHY DOES EVERY VIDEO OF EDDIE I HAVE SEEN HAVE AN ONGOING ARGUEMENT

Why does everyone troll? is everyone so insecure about their religion or nationality?

(ima gonna get trolled a lot 4 this)

  • Hallo, Sid Arthur 'ere!

  • I am buddhist. the goal of buddhism is not super powers, but to totally understand ultimate reality and peace with everything as it truly is. emptiness is not empty, but ultimate potential. there are gods in buddhism but they are just as deluded as people. a human who gains enlightenment as buddha is superior to any stupid god who has super powers, but who cant realize the truth. but ultimately buddhism is atheistic. gods are mentioned in buddhism to show that being a buddha is better than god.

  • @DarkBlackNight In the Theravada tradition (Southeast Asia and Sri Lanka), the Buddha was asked about his exact nature in the Dona Sutta. Dona the brahman (priest) asked him if he was a deva, gandhabba, yakkha or human...to which the Blessed One replied in the negative to all. "What are you, then?" asked Dona. "I'm awake," replied the Buddha. Gods and celestial beings make an appearance in the Tripitaka, but only in minor roles. Gods can't attain Parinibbana, for example--only sentient mortals.

  • Actually, the Bible has at least two gods: Yahweh (the Lord) and El-Elyon (the Most High God). So, what the Hindus and Muslims say about Judaism or Christianity being polytheistic may well have a grain of truth.

  • Actually, Siva is just the god of destruction!

  • @xXMMDMaDhOuSeXx its Shiva, as Eddie izzard puts it, ther is a fucking H in it.

he also fulfill your wishes, that is only if you stand on one leg on top of a mountain while praying to him for a couple of thousand years, wearing only underpants.

  • @sagar246246 Well the Original spelling, you know us Americans!

  • what was the name of this tour?

  • He's got a pretty good grasp of Buddhism. ;)

  • @kamwrites this guys a genius, mate

  • well at least buddism doesn't have you Kamikazing everyone like the terrorists or the Japanese. just saying, if u dont like it, sorry, but it's true!!!

  • @jrfire36

That would be Ultra-nationalist Shinto for the Kamikaze and Wahhabist Islam for the terrorist.

  • @pythonjibraltar hinduism is not that tolerant!!!! karma and spiritualism is a bullshit crap couple of white people made when they got to china and went zen. Buddhism is pretty good but it is so mucha religion because it doesnt have a God!!!

  • @tonmaster2 ...do you even know the definition of "religion"? What you're thinking of is monotheism: that is, the concept of a religion with only one god (also, your capitalization of the word "God" implies that you only recognize Christianity as a religion, which can be extremely insulting). The vast majority of religions (the ones that are not remnants or branches of Christianity) are in fact polytheistic--they have more than one god.

  • @DarkBlackNight When I said 'a God' I meant no (caps lock on!)god at all! Buddhism if anything is a life style with a bit of spirituality. Buddhism and Jainism does not have any sort of deity but rather spiritual beings and a fight against the good and bad in oneself. Where the hell did you get the idea that Buddhism is polytheistic?somebody being mucking around with Wikipedia or are you a 'no-it-all-ignorant" and yes I meant add the'no'. Also capitalising God is Grammar my friend look it up!

  • @tonmaster2 Maybe you should study up a bit, and I don't mean on Wikipedia. I've taken classes on this, so I definitely know what I'm talking about. Buddhism and Hinduism are both polytheistic. Granted, there are different types of Buddhism, but at its core is the belief that there are deities called Buddha (plural, yes) who have already attained Enlightenment. Furthermore, capitalizing "God" is only for Christianity--god (or gods) is both acceptable and commonly-used.

  • @DarkBlackNight As far as I know Buddhism and Jainism does not have a God concept or a creator but rather in a set of theological philosophies which lead to self perfection. Jainism to a large extent reject any sort of God. Buddhas are not gods but rather something of a 'perfect man----->spiritual superbeing' but not God in the same sense (as far as I know, I have read a bit but not so much to lecture it) Now by a 'capital' God I meant the concept of God, hence not Christian but rather, grammar

  • @tonmaster2 You're reading what I'm saying but not getting anything from it. Somehow that's absolutely hilarious for me and I'm going to label you a lost cause. In any case, Buddhism has deities, which are basically gods, and God is a Christian concept BECAUSE YOU ARE CAPITALIZING IT. Go look in a dictionary or something. Furthermore, nowhere does it say that to qualify as a religion you must have a god.

  • @DarkBlackNight

But what YOU understand as a "deity" is a concept alien to the Buddha--their divinity comes not from omnipotence, omniscience, or immortality--but rather from inner clarity and peace.

  • Lol when he says middle way the video is half over. Interesting!

  • Sid Arthur! I love Eddie Izzard!!!! LMAO...hahahhahahhahaaa

dog and bone... AWESOME...like a billion hot dogs sir

  • Buddha is a title which means the enlightened one, Gautama Siddhartha is the one who got this title after reaching enlightenment. Eddie is awesome!

  • I'm a Hindu and I was looking for comedians to crack jokes on Hinduism. There are so few of those.

  • Fat Buddha is the future buddha called Maitreya.

  • the fat buddha is a buddha from china/japan but there is also a fat buddha from thailand.

  • @devabhasha That is Pu Thai - he's not actually Buddha, just a famous Chinese monk who in English is called 'The laughing Buddha'...

  • @kusalaviro Well my understanding is there is not THE Buddha but A buddha. Pretty cool concept and probably the reason that Buddhists don't have a long history of murdering each other, and how here in Japan, it has been playing very nicely with religious pluralism (Shinto and Buddhism often share the same grounds).

  • @kusalaviro In Japanese he's Hottai, who's was a Zen monk around the 10th century. He's also considered an incarnation of the future Buddha, Maitreya.

  • @devabhasha Michael Tsarion is the worlds premier conspiracy researcher/lecturer/author. Dr. Bill Deagle, Leo Zagami, Jordan Maxwell and Alexandre Dumas pere are highly informative as well.

  • good. i was waiting for him to make a stupid comment. but he didn't yea!

    um...was he wearing heals?!?!

  • yeah hes a transvestite haha like a male lesbian

  • @Ojiejojie Transvestite is simply a cross-dresser, nothing to do with sexual preference.

  • @delethielfein nevermind, I misread your comment, apologies

  • @delethielfein haha i dont even remember what i meant with that

  • @Ojiejojie Its called cross dressing i think..
