I jailbroke my ipod touch 2G succesfully and it was working fine for about a year. after cydia updated my ipod today, it said i needed to reboot it and i did. but now it just shows the booting apple in your design but it only shows for about 6 seconds, goes completely black for 2 seconds, and shows your logo again. it has been doing this for about 10 mins now. whats the problem?

this is great! thank you so much! what i've found out also is if you already clicked open tytool before you change it to DFU mode, it wouldn't program it properly and the ipod screen doesn't go white. boot it into DFU mode BEFORE you click open tytool seemed to ensure the job. it took me a good 30min to play around and finally got it to work. hopefully this helps people that are having the same problems as mine. :) thanks again!

I had to try to get into DFU mode several times. When I finally was in DFU mode it worked flawlessly. Successfully completed an untethered Jailbreak on a 2nd generation ipod touch 32GB using TyTool on my MacBook Pro running 10.5.8, iTunes 9.0.2. The ONLY way it could have been easier was if you came to my house and did it for me!!!!

I did it and it was way easyer than any other jailbreak video, i've tryed about 4 different jailbreaking video's and this one worked. the only difference i experienced on my ipod was after the snow apple came up then the regular apple sign came up and a loading bar was there and did it's thing.
