  • Just dropped.

  • why doesn't it shatter when he hits it?

  • He used this when the Smissmas is in the Chaos.

  • A good strategy is to use the soda popper with this, prepare the bar fo the mini crits and unleash them as soon as you hit an enemy with the ball, now it's 10-12 damage per second

  • Time to dress my scout christmassy again... IN FEBRRUARY ! :D

  • Active buff with active nerf as someone said here.

  • FAN FTW UMAD?

  • @smiechu47 ubad?

  • I think this needs to be redone if using this against a building doesn't matter

  • needs a lil more bleed time or something cuz no one should have to resort to a scouts melee wep for meleeing that just means u suck u suck on ice but u could just do more dmg with ur pistol if u have it equipped which i always do... which makes that wep pretty much useless...

  • @CookieOnMyShoulder Bleed follows people. Bullets don't.

  • It's amazing how a recyclable cardboard roll of wrapping paper does more damage than a metallic military war fan.

  • LOL, I love when you are fighting an enemy, and both of you suck. Yesterday I was fighting against another scout, I wasted the full scattergun and pistol clip, only landed him one scattergun shot. I started batting him with this thing and killed him :/

  • I crafted this weapon and it brings so much uses to me since i'm not much of a melee type as a Scout. But i kinda think the weapon could use a little buff like doing 50 damage when it hits someone at long range. It won't be OP or anything but that's what i think that could use an improvement.

  • This piece of cardboard deals more damage than a metal fan.

    Why...

  • I say, this is a good Scout weapon!

  • The most Deadliest piece of Cardboard....ever

  • wait a stick with paper does more damage then a giant metal fan?

  • Love this weapon

  • Scattergun+Mad Milk+Wrap Assassin= the best health leech set, hit a guy with the ornament, then hit him with mad milk and finish him off with a scattergun

  • Should I use this or my Boston Basher?

  • @shirleyyong1 Use this if you were good with the sandman

  • @shirleyyong1 Both sucks. And i know you where writing that just to brag about a boston basher. Witch is completely retarded.

  • @TheSwedishBrony This weapon is actually very good, what are you talking about?

  • @shunfglol Im talkin' bout my opinion.

  • @TheSwedishBrony He just wanted to know which he should use since they both cause bleed. Wrap Assassin is pretty decent since a Scout should only use a Bat as a last resort and Bleed is handy, and Boston Basher can actually triple jump, the longest jump in the game by the way. Not only that but it can spy check allies and be used to help a medic gain uber faster. Just because you don't like it or can't use it doesn't make it useless.

  • @vivhero I agree on the first part of your comment, but the other...? You've got something wrong. Boston basher sucks because if you miss someone you hit yourself and causes bleed. And the bat that makes you triple jump is the Atomizer. And the rest of that stuff ... uh?

  • @TheSwedishBrony The self damage can be used by Medics to gain Uber faster as injured players or players taking Damage cause them to charge Uber twice as fast. And if you run and swing in mid air, you can jump thanks to knockback from hitting yourself, effectively triple jumping, farther than the Atomizer actually, look it up on the Boston Basher wiki video. Also, the weapon only hurts if you hit nothing. If you hit a teammate, you can spycheck as a spy would bleed if disguised

  • at least we got a new hit sound

  • i dont get it, why does a little roll of paper do more damage than a big metal fan? XD

  • @MrRandomcrappystuff Scout use wind by that fan not the fan itself lol

  • Lol all the talk about which melee weapon is better... Just accept it you guys, the fish is simply the best.

  • someone plz watch my vid..... and tell me what u think..... thx.... on my channel

  • how does a cardboard roll do more damage than a giant metal fan?

  • Most useless weapon ever

  • @Sonic222333 Not really, you can harass an enemy, screw up a Sniper's aim, decloak an escaping spy with it, weaken an enemy, or finish off someone making a getaway with bleed. You're not supposed to use Melee for combat anyways, Scattergun is better at close range.

  • Im curious and never did TF2, but knows what it is but, can u still have the ball with u on Medieval Mode?

  • @ColaKnight Yeah

  • scout: would you want paper or plastic?

    heavy: paper.

*scout try's to kill heavy with this weapon*

  • One of my proudest moments in this game is when I got a kill with the 'bat' part of this weapon. People on the server ogled at the kill icon.

  • @TheHman314 Now do it with the fan o' war, and you'll be truly proud.

  • More of a gimmick weapon. Requires skill to hit with ball, and it still deals so little damage.

  • @izvarzone But because it's still ranged damage, it works well with mad milk.

  • @Mixaraah Just for addition, i didn't mean "when using mad milk -> equip wrapper", but if you're using any of the scout's other secondary weapons, it will take your pistol away, so the ball can be extermely useful since the downside of this weapon is so minimal. I mentioned mad milk just because it's probably one of the best unlockables for scout.

  • this weapon looks to suck .-.

  • That feel when you somehow kill someone in melee combat with this.

  • This is a very good humiliation type weapon.

  • I got a question:

Can The Wrap assassin deflect another scout's Stuntball or "Bleedball"

    I don't know, just sayin'

  • @12344reaper no

  • I hit my brother with card board tubes. I haven't killed him yet.

  • WAIT,do I heard a new sound for a Scout melee weapon? Are you Valve guys ill or something?

  • Long range ball always crits? This is why I watch these videos.

  • @Mixaraah I remeber throwing the projectile at someone.

He raged saying "HACKER 100% CRITS BLEED HACK!!! KICK HIM!"

Then the whiner was kicked, cause we were all playing scout with wrap assasin, and he was the only one using a Fan'oWar.

  • Any good Scout knows that the Scattergun is all you need for killing someone, and even if you need to reload, you switch to the pistol. This weapon is useful for pressuring the enemy before you get in range, bleeding is visually more annoying than afterburn, and it's harder to get rid off, so you can have a good start against them using this. You aren't supposed to melee as Scout anyway so it's better than the Bat, and the downside doesn't make you weaker like the Sandman or the Candy Cane

  • @CharroArgentino And it's overall better than Fan O' War

Plus even through damage is small, you can still hit people with it if you fell (or know),that they got small anmount of health.

  • @CharroArgentino

I have to disagree with you. Force of Nature is the best weapon for Scout. With knockback it helps push people away and it works like a third power jump which can help you master all terains, if you have used FON (on 2Fort for example) you know what I'm talking about. If you know how to move with Scout, confusing your enemy with random jump strafes is key. Secondary I would say Bonk! Atomic Punch for Sentries and Sandman for stunning.

  • @vilane421 The thing is, Scattergun is more of a weapon, where as FaN is a tool used to distract enemies and get away with pestering them. Sure, you can knockback enemies and Triple Jump, but it lacks the same Killing Power as Scattergun and the reloading in combat is often slow and annoying. Which is pretty much why nobody uses FaN in higher level play. As for secondaries, Bonk is okay, but a bit conditional. Pistol can pick off Sentries and Mad Milk is much more helpful overall.

  • @vivhero

I respect that but the loadout I listed works best for me. It's based more around objectives than killing. That's why it's so effective for CTF, CP, KOH, etc. Not really interested in a high kill count.

  • @vilane421 FaN is fine then, Because it seems you understand its more of a tool with great utility rather than a weapon. but I really do recommend investing time in Mad Milk for Objective based play. It puts out fires and heals your teammates, a great tool as well. As for Melee, Wrap Assassin decloaks Spies and decreases Sniper accuracy, and Boston Basher allows more mobility and faster uber building for medics and spy checking. Do give them a try if you can.

  • @vivhero

As soon as those drops come in, I will invest in them... Which by the way I have an extremely slow drop rate.

  • @vilane421 Yes, weapons from the Polycount update and Manconnomy update drop less often than others apparently. The others have normal drop rate, but the chance decreases as more weapons are added. If I find one of them in a drop I could give you one.

  • @vivhero

that is very nice of you but im really a spy in disguise. i just appreciate every class and what they bring to the table. as of right now i have 13 items. strange ambassador, strange kunai, strange revolver, and strange knife are my tools. everything else hold sentimental value, like my crafted sticky jumper.

  • @CharroArgentino Stop talking out of your arse. Batting as a Scout is and always has been a perfectly viable tactic, even against Heavies. Just let me point you in the direction of the Mad Milk/Crit-a-Cola...

  • @Vulgarth1 Scattergun = 105 Damage per shot on melee range

    Bat = 35 per swing

  • @Vulgarth1 Always take in mind GOOD players to talk about 'viable strategies', good Heavies have perfect tracking aim, no one will let you bat him down even if you try to circle strafe around them

  • @CharroArgentino So...no Soda Popper or Force of nature or Shortstop?

  • @ODSTD56 no they suck, scattergun is the way to go

  • @ZakobYoa So Scattergun and Wrap Assassin. What about secondary wep? Winger, Pistol, Crit Cola, or Bonk Atom Punch?

  • @CharroArgentino

As a true scout ive found the bat QUITE useful in certain situations where my scatty might not've done much

  • @CharroArgentino As a Scout, I usually do well when I work with my Scattergun and that Spy's arm during combat.

  • @CharroArgentino I am a great Scout using all his weapons

  • What a useless weapon.

  • @MrShnoxdog

It's a Scout melee weapon, of COURSE it's useless

  • @MrShnoxdog

    What a useful weapon

  • the point of this weapon: Long range harassment

  • what is the point of the weapon?

  • @ProOrochiMaru to piss off Snipers and to render the Spies' cloak useless with the bleed. 50 or so total bleed damage doesn't sound like much, but it is well capable of seriously injuring a weaker class.

  • Who the hell cares about melee damage when the Scattergun does over 100 damage on melee range?

  • But it's just ridicolous how Fan O' War deals LESS damage than a harmless cardboard.

Still people complain about low damage.

  • @antiworkify Oh, some dumbass says cow mangled is 9.99 so it's 5 keys.

  • Holy shit, I didn't know it had a moonshot effect! TIL!

  • A Holiday weapon with an actual use? INCONCEIVABLE!

  • This weapon is awful, and people sell it for 1 refined. Unfair.

  • 35% less damage instead of 70%

    Who's with me?

  • The damage reduction is just horrible. That's why.

  • @SandeProHiQu You can't expect cardboard to be as deadly as a solid aluminum bat can you?

  • @nucularwastelandsss It's stupid how Valve thinks common sense is more important than balance.

  • @SandeProHiQu Not sure if stupid or just trolling.

  • wow, seriously?

people hate this weapon despite it Crits at long range and causes bleed?

The Bats aren't meant to kill, onlt to weaken, and this captures that perfectly

  • @TwilightKun4 bats are made to finish off enemy when out of scattergun shots (need to reload) its faster then reloading or using a pistol (to finish off ofc)

  • @arno2606 shoot with Scatter/pistol, fire off bauble to finish him off, works for me

  • A video demonstrating an underpowered but overall embarrassing excuse for a bat.

  • Crap weapon. >.<

  • o hai, im the second to comment.

  • This video has been redone to show the bleeding effect on cloaked spies (1:28) and the long-range effect as well (1:15).
