  • Thank you so much for making this video! I am also a 4c. You made this video over a year ago and it is still difficult to find styles for 4c hair. I absolutely love this style!

  • thanks that do help

  • FLY-

  • This is such a cute hairstyle!!! Thank you cause 4c hair is a "TRIP"....to deal with at times....lol.

  • I love to see people represent 4C right!!!! Thanx gurlie i now am refreshed!

  • that's a good question I have no idea what kind of hair I am I know when I wet it that it waves up but I am havin difficulty keepin it moisturized

  • I love your hair, i am going to try this on my hair since i finally have the length...keep it coming! I also love the song of choice by Keisha Cole...Jamming...:))) peace n blesssings...

  • love your hair! i too wish there were more 4cs on youtube. do you remember how you got your hair to that color? im trying to achieve a similar color

  • i have 4z hair,lol.keep the vidz coming.check out my page

  • What color do you have in your hair, it's really pretty!

  • Wow, this style looks so cute! And it doesn't seem incredibly difficult.

  • You know what, I have 3c hair so I can't relate to some of the struggles of my 4c sistas but Im so happy that you are able to work with your hair because my cousin has 4c hair and she struggles and it hurts me because I don't know how to sooth her pain. Im going to most definetly show her this video so she may be inspired by your work. Thank you soooo much for posting this.

  • I've been nature for two years since the end of March. You have to be comfortable with your own process. So, if that works best for you until you get to the point where you want to see your hair completely out and nature, you'll go for it! Good luck and keep me posted.

  • Job well done with your hair. I'm a 4C, I think (Whatever that means, lol) Anyway, my hair is similar to your texture, but have not grown out to your length because i have recently done the BC. I am loving my 4C hair, I am trying Cloth handbands to add a little umph until my hair grows a little longer, and you have allowed me to look forward to that, so Thank You. :-)

  • @sydoneyblake You should use satin or nylon or silk headbands instead. The cloth headbands will absorb the moisture from you hair and when your hair isn't moisturized it will break off. Believe me i had to learn the hard way. My edges were very short compared to the rest of my hair and i had to cut my hair all off so that it was even all over.

  • @sydoneyblake I appreciate your comment. Kanani04 is right; not only are the nylon and silk headbands less likely to damage your hair as the cloth headbands, I actually think they look better too. Keep me posted on your journey!

  • @mslov3ly20 Thank YOU for your post ;)

  • I'm a 4c too, and I just started a Youtube page with tutorials on how to style 4c hair. Check it out if you get a chance.

    Stay true and stay natural,

    Sapphire Naturals

  • @sapphirenaturals I'm gonna check you out!

  • love love love this style, but u gotta walk us newbies throught the steps to acheive it. Thank for giving us 4c's hope :-)

  • loev love love this style, but5 u gotta walk us newbies through the steps. Thank for giving us 4c's hope...lol

  • @lmg1913 Thanks... I'm giving my hair a rest with Crotchet Braids, but I gotchu in the summer :0)

  • This style is beautiful! It seems like you already agreed to doing a tutorial so I'll be looking out for it. = )

  • @Jamaicanqdee Thank you... I'll most likely do it in the summer, because I've been giving my hair a break with Crotchet Braids.

  • My pics are on my facebok and they are from last year. I am going to a play on Sat, so I will get some pics to you. How long have you been natural? I started in Aug of 2010. I refused to do the chop. I wore weaves and trimmed. Rollers sets and trimmed. I still have some relaxer in 2 small sections. I will keep trimming until its gone.

  • @mzaprilification Ok...I would love to see the pictures; I haven't been on Facebook in a few years. I will have been natural for 2 years in late March. I've cut my hair since this video; so, it's a twa again. I understand why you don't want to chop it completely off (although I had a brush cut to start). For a long time no one even knew I was natural, because I would wear wigs and weaves, but that all stopped when I discovered the inspirational natural sistas on YouTube. Keep me posted!

  • Hello Sista - I do not have the same hair type, but I watched your video because your hair is beautiful! I love your hair color.

  • @MsKinkydiva Awww... Thank you! I will say that I have made a few dramatic changes from this video. Check out my 2nd Big Chop video!

  • Great hair style, i would have like to see how u accomplished it, even if u depicted the process with still photos. Thanx again x

  • @sonamand Yeah... I didn't realize I was even going to post anything until I had already completed the style. When my hair grows out again (I 2nd BCed), I will surely depict the process. Thanks for the comment!

  • I have three textures in my hair (one of which is 4C). I enjoyed this video and look forward to more so I will have more direction when my mini TWA grows out. Definitely subscribed! Take care.

  • @MrsTrip98 Thank you! I have cut my hair! Check out my 2nd Big Chop video. If you like the style and want to know how to accomplish it, let me know!

  • Thanks! This gave me an idea of how to protect the back of my hair during sweater and scarf season!!! Gorgeous!

  • @MsTonyaRJ It sure does! Keeps your hair from catching and snapping against that wool! lol!

  • This video is so inspiring . I have 4c hair and i live in UK. the whole going natural thing is not very popular here yet. Could you pleas do a video on how you get your baby hairs to lie so flat cause mine won't. Thanks and stay blessed

  • @e1hazeleyes Thank you... Your comment is inspiring. I understand how difficult it must be, because I still find myself indirectly defending my hair when I hear passive aggressive comments about it, and that's here in the U.S. Keep up the confidence! Also, I'm going to try to remember to post something on my baby hairs this weekend.

  • Thanks for showing your style. I had a time putting my hair up in a puff, due to the fact that my hair didnt grow evenly. Now I can try your style here and hope it will stay in place. I am learning not to put too much product in my hair at once and apply it at times during the style I'm working with. I see your waves and curls, SWEET! B.) I think I am 4b,c mixture, may be more. The top seems to be courser.

  • @rebarenee7 I'm sure you can rock it! It seems that 4b/4c ish hair types mistake daily moisturizing and detangling for difficulty. We can do it! We just have to work at it. So you're saying that your putting too much product on, and it's making your hair less manageable?

  • @MichelleShell20 depending on the product like cantu, I dont need much product on. I think that I have been applying too much which takes more time for my hair to dry. I have noticed a dull white coating too. I may be using too much of my shea butter mixture because I have found out that if I rub or smooth the shea butter mixture in my hair from root to ends, I can feel the difference. I have found out that I only need to use water and not have to apply product every day to revive my style.

  • @rebarenee7 I know what you mean... Great suggestion, because it takes time for the white residue to dry.

  • Trust me it rocks. I should start posting pictures or vids up as well. There is a lot you can do with 4c hair. I 've learned thru trial and error. I used veggie glycerin around the edges because it breaks down and softens. Put a little Eco gel on after , then a Oucheless band , double it and get my curly puff on.Whatever you do, DO NOT put the veggie glycerin on your curls. They will fall out. Trust me on this one! :)

  • @mzaprilification Yeah girl! You better post something! I want to see it! I'm visual! lol!

  • Hello, I am a 4c also. I used Eco Styler gel and shea butter w/castor oil mix. Get some grey perm rods and roll your hair wet or dry. Put a comb on the side and rock it!!!!

  • @mzaprilification I'll try that! When I take these Seneglese Twist out, I'll try it and post! Thanks for the recommendation!

  • I'm a 4c, and I have been chemical free since 11/20/2007 and I have to say that it's so nice to see other 4c naturals. Just subscribed.

  • @249money Awww...Thank you sooo much; I know yours must be loooong! I can't wait until I'm celebrating 3 years!

  • Hey the hair is nice can't wait til mine gets a little longer to accomplish this. By the way, what do you have on your lips? I really like the color and frosty look.

  • @chyna7702 Thanks.... (Re: Lips - This is going to sound kind of extra, but the first thing I put on is the "Blistex - Lip Medex" for lip protection, the second layer is "Milani Crystal Gloss," the third layer is "Miliani lipstick Sugar Rim" #43, the fourth layer is "NYC Liquid Lip Shine #558," and then I put another final layer of "Milani Crystal Gloss"...ffew!)

  • @MichelleShell20 love you vid! having TROUBLE with my hair and it looks like yours so I guess i'm a 4c. It's breaking so bad. Thanks for the advice and encouragement lol at your lip gloss regimen, too poppin' lol :)

  • how is the color holding up

    since u r natural?

  • @bhg135 In one of my videos, I show the results of Chunky Twists after I changed it back to my natural hair color (1B). The color was ok, but for some reason, I felt like my natural hair color looked healthier. However, looking at some of my videos with lighter hair, I miss it! lol

  • I love seeing my fellow 4C sistas! gorgeous!

  • @KinkyKurlyKham Don't ya! I do too! Thanks for your post!

  • pretty style

  • very nice!

  • @ebonyrose316266 Thank you Ebony!

  • I have the 4c hair as well. Thanks for posting your videos and embracing your kinks. So tired of not seeing enough of us represented and being honest that we can't do what everyone else does with their hair. :).

  • @iroc31407 I know that's right! I'm tired of not being able to find 4c inspiration myself.

  • Fantastic! I'm so glad to see more 4c options and tips on youtube! Thank you, MichelleShell!

  • @shonteezi You're welcome Shonte! I know how you feel...that's why I posted stuff. lol

  • @shonteezi Thank you Shonteezi :)

  • Very pretty! This style looked really nice on you! :)

  • @4EvaAGAPeach Thank you! It literally is all about experimentation...lol!

  • @4EvaAGAPeach Thank you Eva! Just freestyling!

  • This style is very gorgeous and I love how u got ur curls poppin! Thanks for the inspiration because our texture is rare on youtube :-)

  • @7779311sassy Thank you Sassy... It is rare on youtube, but most naturals have our hair texture; more of us need to be proud enough and experimental enough to get on and inspire us 4Cs ;-)

  • why was ur video highlighted? as if you made headline? i just wanted to know

  • @temickab idk...can't tell ya!

  • @MichelleShell20 ok.... well its a featured video on my end... thats good! probably because i have 4c hair also, but your hair looks wayyyyyy better than mine

  • i love your advice and such, such an inspiration, cause im a 4c too and there really isnt much for us : (

  • @farmah100 Thank you Girl! I figure the more of us who track out progress, the more help for all of us... I'm literally figuring things out as I go. Thanks for you inspirational comment.

  • Your hair is absolutely beautiful!!! When you learn to work with what you've got, everything falls in place. Simple yet elegent style.

  • Amen sister.. i have the same hair texture looking for short hair styles for 4c girl..

  • Lol! Sorry NaturalGMonet... I will try to explain it with the products in hand on the next video! I have individual braids in now! But I gotchu girl!
