Make the most of Amsterdam's relaxed attitude because they are trying to stop drug tourism now, and people will have to prove nationality before they can buy in the cafes
if we had the same system in place as the one in the amsterdam younger people would not be able to get hold of cannabis you have to show id 18+ this would create a taxable resorse that we sorly need right now considering the financial mire the health nuts and saftey freaks have placed us in think about it weed baught from a shop that sells solely weed stops people from coming into contact with unscrupulous dealers who are also selling harder drugs that are dangerous and addictive

why would we want it taxed, that just drives up prices.
@robin22391 the point i was trying to make was that in todays world younger people now find it simpler to get cannabis than alcohol the tax should mostly come from the income tax payed by the owners and workers of the coffe shop regardless of wether you think the cannabis should be taxed or not a new saleable resorse would mean jobs jobs mean income tax and more off of the welfare state schemes whitch are draining us dry

In America there were an estimated 2.2 million schizophrenics, 17 million alcoholics,
and I tried finding the estimated number of cannabis users...I'm sure it's higher than 2.2 million. Point being that legalizing marijuana only affects 2.2 million schizophrenics, whereas outlawing alcohol affects approx. 17 MILLION ALCOHOLICS.
What is the greater threat when considering the issue of health? If alcohol stays legal, why is cannabis held back?
Alcohol, legal, Nicotine, legal, Caffeine, Legal, Pot, illegal? each is a drug with Alcohol and Nicotine doing far more damage to your body than Pot with Alcohol related crimes added in it's beyond ridiculous not to legalise pot, tax it and control it as it is in other countries where crime rates drop as a result as does crime, prohibition creates wealthy criminals legalisation and control stops it. And as for 'gate way drug' that would again be nicotine and alcohol, not pot
@mutley2209 I go along with what you have written but the gate way theory if applied?
What was the first drink that you ever had. Yes, mother's milk! It's mainly down to the individual imo. Vibes from Amsterdam. Cannabis is one of the least toxic plants on earth and a miracle especially for cancer sufferers.
Whatever your views on cannabis, how can you possibly shake your head to (in regard to crime) "it is not committed by little old ladies trying to relieve arthritis pain, it is committed by gangs who are in hard drugs"?
It's amazing how out of touch the "older" members of the panel are with the youth nowadays. I don't know a single person who hasn't used drugs, and trust me when they're wasted on booze they are FAR more fucked up than when they used drugs.
I hate this stupid "oh think of the poor kiddywinks" attitude they seem to plug. Teenagers and young adults are no way near as virgin and pure as they seem to believe.
the point is that criminalising people for doing something to themselves is just a waste of time. Telling the population of a country that growing and harvesting a plant in the privacy of one's own home translates to you being a danger to society is actually insulting. Ginger woman speaks out of fear and ignorance and I really do NOT want people who state their opinions (which are usually those of their parents!) instead of facts have no right to represent a nation. Shame on all UK politicians!
The issue lies with the fact that cannabis may lead to mental health problems even if those problems lay dormant in your system for many years and although cannabis can be used for pain relief, particularly for those with MS, it is not as effective as prescription medications though the side effects are more desirable. Also if cannabis is legalised it would create a huge mess with regards to how it is taxed in the UK, leading to illegal drug dealers and the problem of gangs begins again.
a b c d e or f we still going to smoke it. what a joke ..? do u no i got to go and see some nasty skumbags for my weed.and naw paying £250 per oz. a week. i hate seeing them get ritch off gritt weed and uther nasty crap in it. its all about the( tax) on it . i say grow ya own.smoke ya own. but the gov carnt make £££ on that. so thay just fine u to get some £££ some way or uther.and every time that thay catch a big fish theres always a fat greedy tadpole up next
Looks like Margaret Hodge got her way with the upgrading of Cannabis to class B. If only there weren't so many dumb fucks out there, we could then have a rational debate on the harm caused by the drug and the amount of crime linked to it. I hate the argument that marijuana causes schizophrenia. Alcohol causes a wide range of physiological disorders such as cirrhosis which can often lead to death. So what, schizophrenia is worse then death? No, obviously not.
"Are you addicted to drugs/drinks?" Nice rehabilitation advertisement pop ups right on the video. Great job, youtube. You blew it, Mr. Yout Ubé...if that's your real name...
Eyes of "The Scream" & Lady Hawkie Birdie who speak at about 2-3 minutes into the clip about schizophrenia have been sold scarcity; the way they non-educationally and non-experientially display their arguments reveal their media-inspirational abilities.
Misinterpretations and misunderstandings cause wry viewpoints. There's no need to feel that way. The herb has been used for many thousands of years. Hasn't been "allowed" for 80 years because of to those who seemingly oppose nature.
i love how despite every medical crime and drug researchers opinion along with overwhelming public support new information about its medicinal purposes its still illegal its pathetic
Cannabis does not make you loose your asperations, bad governance does.
Scitzophrenia occours is users with an already existing history of mental illness.
Marijuana is no more addictive than chocolate milk.
Hard-drugs like cocaine, crack and refined opium (heroin) as well as potentially extacy and LSD ought to remain banned outright. HOWEVER our open boarders prevent us from ever being able to controll said controlled substances.
@temporaldisplacement I agree with your sentiment. I'm pretty certain that LSD and MDMA are fairly safe too though. To the best of my knowledge LSD is slightly less dangerous than LSA, its closest relative, and is probably one of the safest hallucigenics in existence.
@thesenamesaretaken LSD is marginally more addictive than extacy which is more addictive than cannabis but only marginally less damaging than methlyphenidate and alcohol, and alcohol is pretty damaging.
uh oh 1:58 retard alert. She might as well have said considering the links between nutella and mental illness shouldn't be cracking down on the substance rather than selling it in supermarkets.
Until the law is changed it remains illegal to use certain substances. Illegality is bound by penalisation, therefore it is appropriate that consequences fall on the user regardless of the many variables to each persons life script. Certainly, as an addictions counsellor, it is alcohol that is pandemic beyond comparison.
ok i dont understand when she says that cannabis is linked to mental health problems so we shouldnt decriminalise when tobacco is legal and its much more dangerous than cannabis
Of course when people start to criticize everyone elses drug of use (alcohol) , its a step in the wrong direction to illegalize it instead of the lesser harm (weed). of course it would be bad to illegalize alcohol because it would lead to organized crime and all of that which is exactly what the abolition of cannabis is doing. i wish people would stop trying to enforce morality when it is causing more harm than good.
There was an exceptionally painful debate on C4 News between a drug legalisation expert and a mother whose son had smoked too much pot and gone senile the other day. She kept on referring to how addictive marijuana is and how it's a gateway drug. It got me very angry.
Marijuana is addictive in the same way eating can become addictive (comfort munching). Marijuana is a gateway drug in the same way that milk, water or cola are gateway to alcohol. Mainstream ignorance about drugs is astounding.
Alcohol is a drug, caffeine is a drug, citralopram is a drug, codeine is a drug, ad absurdum. These are all legal, and all have their harm. For example, Citralopram made my hair come out in tufts, I gave it up, smoked some dope instead, now a lot happier! It's also a matter of individual harm, I know of people who may have developed psychiatric problems because of dope, I however have smoked vastly more than them, and have never ever suffered from psychosis, paranoia, or anxiety. Not once! :D
i hate the government !!!! they don't really care what cannabis does & they certainly don't care about you. they don't even know me. i love it when they say bad things about cannabis when there's alcohol (the 90% 1), is legal & that is definItely more dangerous than cannabis (obviously, because it causes death & destroys brain cells). i no the effects of cannabis & i prefer it more than alcohol! everyone has a right to find a right drug for them selfs!! its slavery when they decide for you
girl at 1.58 shut the fuck up its because of un educated people like you that this drug is illegal. how many people have scitzo or mental health problems that use cannabis? 1 in thousands ...... and how many people have problems with alachol ? and i bet she goes home and has a few glasses of wine tonight!
I wish people would realise that paranoia and Schizophrenia is only caused when marijuana is used under the age of 16 and these symptoms kick in later on in life
If you don't have the right to do whatever you want to your own body, you don't own it. Anyone happy living their life by the leave of the government can bloody well restrict themselves. Don't force everyone else to take part in your insanity.
right, common sense time, i smoke, as do most of my friends. i resent the fact that the only way i can get it at the moment is by dealing with and giving my money to criminals, thus making me a criminal. regulation is the answer, monitor the quality, license it, and use the taxes and revenues raised to fund awareness programs. the dutch did, use went down by nearly 40% in the dutch population. prohibition creates its own demand - more 'speak easys' in NY than when alcohol was legal. Weed = same.
What a sad mainstream media circus 'question time' is...This isn't an impartial program in my view...it has an agenda. The one about Afghanistan went on about whether troops had enough equipment and said little about the invasion being a war crime....More moron fodder for the slack jawed masses...
@tapefilms so do i she doesnt even know what she is talkin about eh? she thinks prostitutes are selling themselves to feed there drug addictions hahahaha ..... were talkin about cannabis here not smack and crack cocaine! And another point most gangsters don't go about selling weed they sell cocaine and stuff that makes real money.
its a natural occuring substance , the chemicals in tobacco?????? wtf . i dont smoke cannabis but i still see that society still has an outdated view on cannabis , alcohal and cigarettes are easier to get than weed ,im rambling im tired ,its a disgrace, like tv licences
margaret hodge was speaking a load of shite, i hate the attitude in the UK that simply because something is harmful it should be banned, without regard for the choice of the individual, same old nanny state thing, search "harm principle" on wikipedia, read the little passage from on liberty by john locke
I love the way in which she seperates Tabbaco smoking, alchohol and then "DRUGS"!! I mean theyre all drugs, and they are all different. If people were less ignorant about the influences of marajuana, they would understand that alcohol screws you up more than weed!
Also, I highly doubt that those prostitutes were doing what they were for weed! More likely Crack, meth, heroin which always get mized into the same class as "drugs" as weed!
" ... only a few months ago that we had those ghastly murders in Ipswich and all those prostitutes were actually addicted to drugs and they were feeding their habit... "
If drugs had been regulated instead of illegal, they would have gotten their drugs at a pharmacy or coffeeshop on the NHS, and they would be alive today.
Cannibis is an amazing and natural pain killer and stress reliever. If it was legal people could grow it themselves and drug companies would loose a lot of money because we'd stop buying their artificial pain killers that wreck our livers.
...it would be a bit different if we had wiley eyed crazy people running around the streets causing mayhem with joints hanging out of there mouths, but we dont, we have trouble with alcohol-the legal drug, these people that 'govern' us are dinosours, sack em,...sack em all!,
start living life without...FEAR(fear from people WE vote in to power?)huh?
That's what we do in this country - we make people into criminals, based on their drug of choice. We don't educate people about the realities of the effects and dangers of different kinds of drugs, we just tar them all with the same brush. I think your woman from the Greens there is making a sensible stand.
wtf then why is it that i have a receptor in my brain to absorb thc yet you can control these substances by teaching people shamanism which is forbideen by zionist jews
It is absolute lunacy that people can be so ill informed about cannabis. It is only a matter of time until it is legal everywhere but that people can condone the punishment of an innocent granny trying to relieve pain is disgusting and ignorant. We would all like our freedom back please.
@NoMus1cNoLife - So we should let people take heroin? What about letting people steal or fight on the streets? For god's sake, very little good has come out of cannabis? And don't start with "it's good for this condition or that condition". There are legal, more effective alternatives. Besides, what proportion of pot smokers actually have a health condition that can be treated with cannabis? Let's be frank, cannabis slows you down, makes you unproductive, stupid and...
...damages your mental health. And it does it slowly and subtly, so no-one treats cannabis with the contempt that it deserves. Potheads always use alcohol as a counter example. The point which is always neglected however is that you can drink alcohol responsibly, you cannot smoke cannabis responsibly, given it's negative effects of the drug itself, not to mention the by products from smoking it.
like the women before clearly said all the bad things at the moment are because of the criminality of the substance at the moment.
its obvious . Criminals= higher amount of skizophrenics.
Cannabis smoking = crime.
Thats the link!.
and the prostitues thing was rediculous.
yeh cannabis addicted prostitues.
cannabis could fix the current economic crisis and help many medical sufferers and keep people off HARD drugs like for example i dont know,.....TOBBACO!
the old woman is wrong she needs to look at the reson why we have gun/gang problems and the reson is probation. probation drives drugs under ground more deaths from drugs because they are not clean they are cut with all sorts of shit to bulk them up for proffit. if drugs were legal then women would not have to sell them self to feed their drug habits they would have clean cheap supply thus lower death rates gangs would have nothing to fight over= lower death rates.
Sian berry says that we don't want drugs to be traded on the free-market because its run by gangsters at the moment...well that's because its not legal! As soon as you legalize it- these gangsters have to turn legitimate to compete or go out of business pretty fast since the prices of these drugs would plummet.
The prices would still plummet despite government attempts at taxation simply because the supply would increase if it was no longer illegal to possess drugs. Of course the government could tax it so bad that its still overly expensive. But then people would continue to turn to the black market where the price would still be much cheaper than today since supply would be abundant.
Even if it was taxed like tobacco, most people would still buy it from shops as they know it's not going to have any "nasties" in it. Yeah the black market will always be there, but it still doesn't mean the majority of people would buy from the black market.
Definitely- I was just saying that in your scenario where the prices wouldn't plummet due to extremely high taxes- people would turn to another source. But taxes really would have to be something like 95% of the price for drugs to continue to be expensive even after legalization.
People who keep blabbing on about schizophrenia and paranoia are blind. What about Heart and liver disease? Slower reflexes and bad judgement? Alcohol is still, and always has been FAR worse than cannabis.
I yield that in excess, virtually everything is bad, but that's why I agree with the young lady on the panel that we could regulate it's use far easier if the ball, so to speak, wasn't in the 'Gangsters' court.
if you get caught smoking cannabis and driving you get a warning, if you get caught drink driving you get a fine points possibly probation or time in jail
cannabis should be 100% legal for an adults personal use.the same as alcohol,it is easier for a child to get cannabis than alcohol because it is illegal!!
No its not. There is no regulation around cannabis, so there for its much easier to get. A 15 year old can't walk in to a shop and buy alcohol and tobacco very easily. They will be asked for ID, and if they don't have any, they will be refused alcohol.
Drug dealers do not have those rules to follow. They will sell to anyone of any age, at any time they choose, and every 15 year old in the country knows where to go to get their cannabis.
In fact, it is precisely the legal status of cannabis that causes most problems... and there the Minister goes talking about murders having nothing to do with cannabis. We need to be pragmatic about it, and this is a plant so useful in terms of industry, nutrition, medicine, that it should've never been illegalized to begin with. With rising food and gas prices, now is the time to get hemp off the crime list and on our allies list.
Upgrading cannabis is merely false posturing by the Government.Whether canna is Class C,B or A, matters not a jot..because the police dont enforce the law! Why?Because the Police and Criminal Evidence Act has left police so tied up with paperwork, that they dont have time to catch and punish people for possesing drugs! The solution is to enforce the cannabis laws properly like they do in Sweden, punishing posession with hard labour, and prison.then use of this poison can be reduced by deterrence!
1., 2., 3. & 4. all happen whether or not cannabis is illegal.
5. Just shows how ignorant Margaret Hodge is.
6. Has nothing whatever to do with cannabis. For a highly- paid public servant, defending an unworkable and vastly expensive prohibition, to spout such a load of irrelevant garbage is truly embarrassing! No wonder we're in such a mess with morons like Margaret Hodge in charge of the UK.
But there is no "expensive prohbition" in this country! Cannabis hasn't been illegal in britain for more than thrity years, because the police let off those they catch with a caution! A law that is not enforced, isnt a real law! IF we were to punish posession of the drug harshly,as they do very sucessfuly in Sweden, cannabis use would drop through the floor! Sweden began punishign posession years ago, and they now have the lowest rate of canabis use in Europe! So prohibition works!
Margaret Hodge is a Minister of the British Government. And the best arguments she can come up with are these. Cannabis, she says, should be illegal because:
1. Parents worry.
2. Young people get into debt.
3. Young people lose their aspirations.
4. Some young people get long term mental health problems.
5. She thinks drugs are incredibly dangerous, and
6. Five sex workers with addictions were murdered in Ipswich.
Have you thought about a career in correction? CCA (Corrections Corp. of America) are looking for young men and women in the UK, motivated self starters for an exciting feild, private corrections. You'll recieve a 9 week training course in one of our maximum security facilities here in the U.S. You will be able to go toe to toe with the toughest inmates in Britian. When you see the CCA uniform in your neighborhood, ask how to apply. When you think Corrections, think CCA.
the wonam at 4.33 whos talkin is a FUCKING CUNT i can belive she finks prozys are proys cos they adicted to weed, wot a fucking tool why did she even open her mouth
The woman in the audience at 2.00mins is a complete and utter idiot, its those people who are brainwashed by the media and government, Does she not have a brain to use? Can she not see from all the scientific reports we have that cannabis does not cause mental illness? Gordon Brown has done everything in his power to demonise cannabis but yet the science opposes his personal opinions.Cannabis is arguably the most safest drug and its illegal,alcohol/tobacco are v.dangerous yet legal.hypocrisy?
firstly they didn't put her in prison, she got community service, I think the sentence reflected the fact that wshe wasn't hurting anyone. But as it is currently illegal to possess/use/sell cannabis regardless of age/situation. The courts cannot just say 'oh seh's old so we'll let her off'. It undermines the justice system. you can't have one law for someone who's old and quite sweet and another for someone young and a bit scary! If someone breaks the law there must be consequences.
The LCA have a pledge on that website 'pledgebank' asking people to pledge to vote in the General Election but not for any party that wants to keep cannabis illegal.
C'mon, they haven't outlawed it for public health reasons, it's all about politics and votes. So if you believe it should be decriminalised sign the LCA's pledge and stick to it. Let's make legalising the weed a none negotiable issue and get rid of Labour at the ballot box.
If it were YOU politicians wanted to lock up for up to five years (for a 'crime' that doesn't even have a victim) I think you might decide voting for your civil liberties was something worthwhile after all.
If you smoke pot stand up for your rights. Vote, but don't vote for any candidate that wants to put you in prison - ask the candidates and your MP what their views are, make legalisation a non-negotiable must do issue. And sign the LCA's 'Cannabis Vote Pledge' on the pledgebank website. :)
Wrong. If I commit a crime I would do my best not to get caught but if caught I would expect to do the time. Cannabis has lots of victims and I do my best to help them. In a lot of cases I have helped but unfortunately not all.
id really like to see a response made to the point made at the end with the guy from Salford, that women is shaking her head vigerously at him as if he's wrong!
your name just about sums you up doesn't it? Sian Berry raises some valid points. We've created a society where it is very easy to talk out of your arse and get away with it.

That bitch from the audience ruined my day. Theres no stone cold EVIDENCE that it causes mental health problems, it is, once again, propaganda.
atomicash123 11 months ago
The issue lies with the fact that cannabis may lead to mental health problems even if those problems lay dormant in your system for many years and although cannabis can be used for pain relief, particularly for those with MS, it is not as effective as prescription medications though the side effects are more desirable. Also if cannabis is legalised it would create a huge mess with regards to how it is taxed in the UK, leading to illegal drug dealers and the problem of gangs begins again.

HOWEVER our open boarders prevent us from ever being able to controll said controlled substances.
temporaldisplacement 1 year ago
@temporaldisplacement I agree with your sentiment. I'm pretty certain that LSD and MDMA are fairly safe too though. To the best of my knowledge LSD is slightly less dangerous than LSA, its closest relative, and is probably one of the safest hallucigenics in existence.
thesenamesaretaken 1 year ago
@thesenamesaretaken LSD is marginally more addictive than extacy which is more addictive than cannabis but only marginally less damaging than methlyphenidate and alcohol, and alcohol is pretty damaging.
temporaldisplacement 1 year ago
uh oh 1:58 retard alert. She might as well have said considering the links between nutella and mental illness shouldn't be cracking down on the substance rather than selling it in supermarkets.
zeratul1987 1 year ago
Until the law is changed it remains illegal to use certain substances. Illegality is bound by penalisation, therefore it is appropriate that consequences fall on the user regardless of the many variables to each persons life script. Certainly, as an addictions counsellor, it is alcohol that is pandemic beyond comparison.
billydj100 1 year ago

khazal12 1 year ago
Of course when people start to criticize everyone elses drug of use (alcohol) , its a step in the wrong direction to illegalize it instead of the lesser harm (weed). of course it would be bad to illegalize alcohol because it would lead to organized crime and all of that which is exactly what the abolition of cannabis is doing. i wish people would stop trying to enforce morality when it is causing more harm than good.
matmonster07 1 year ago

Not once! :D

right, common sense time, i smoke, as do most of my friends. i resent the fact that the only way i can get it at the moment is by dealing with and giving my money to criminals, thus making me a criminal. regulation is the answer, monitor the quality, license it, and use the taxes and revenues raised to fund awareness programs. the dutch did, use went down by nearly 40% in the dutch population. prohibition creates its own demand - more 'speak easys' in NY than when alcohol was legal. Weed = same.

MrSmudger687 9 months ago
...damages your mental health. And it does it slowly and subtly, so no-one treats cannabis with the contempt that it deserves. Potheads always use alcohol as a counter example. The point which is always neglected however is that you can drink alcohol responsibly, you cannot smoke cannabis responsibly, given it's negative effects of the drug itself, not to mention the by products from smoking it.

the old woman is wrong she needs to look at the reson why we have gun/gang problems and the reson is probation. probation drives drugs under ground more deaths from drugs because they are not clean they are cut with all sorts of shit to bulk them up for proffit. if drugs were legal then women would not have to sell them self to feed their drug habits they would have clean cheap supply thus lower death rates gangs would have nothing to fight over= lower death rates.

Sian berry says that we don't want drugs to be traded on the free-market because its run by gangsters at the moment...well that's because its not legal! As soon as you legalize it- these gangsters have to turn legitimate to compete or go out of business pretty fast since the prices of these drugs would plummet.
Bowser2398 3 years ago
Sorry for the late reply. But the prices would not plummet as the drugs would be taxed to death just like tobacco and alcohol.
stoneytheraster 2 years ago
The prices would still plummet despite government attempts at taxation simply because the supply would increase if it was no longer illegal to possess drugs. Of course the government could tax it so bad that its still overly expensive. But then people would continue to turn to the black market where the price would still be much cheaper than today since supply would be abundant.
Bowser2398 2 years ago
Even if it was taxed like tobacco, most people would still buy it from shops as they know it's not going to have any "nasties" in it. Yeah the black market will always be there, but it still doesn't mean the majority of people would buy from the black market.
stoneytheraster 2 years ago
Definitely- I was just saying that in your scenario where the prices wouldn't plummet due to extremely high taxes- people would turn to another source. But taxes really would have to be something like 95% of the price for drugs to continue to be expensive even after legalization.
Bowser2398 2 years ago

People who keep blabbing on about schizophrenia and paranoia are blind. What about Heart and liver disease? Slower reflexes and bad judgement? Alcohol is still, and always has been FAR worse than cannabis.
I yield that in excess, virtually everything is bad, but that's why I agree with the young lady on the panel that we could regulate it's use far easier if the ball, so to speak, wasn't in the 'Gangsters' court.

fuckinghellyoutwat 2 years ago
MrNobody808 2 years ago 2
that's what i said, it's easy for kids to get weed, and all because of the law.
fuckinghellyoutwat 2 years ago
Colin Byrne said it.
With rising food and gas prices, now is the time to get hemp off the crime list and on our allies list.
malkalevadom 3 years ago 2
Upgrading cannabis is merely false posturing by the Government.Whether canna is Class C,B or A, matters not a jot..because the police dont enforce the law! Why?Because the Police and Criminal Evidence Act has left police so tied up with paperwork, that they dont have time to catch and punish people for possesing drugs! The solution is to enforce the cannabis laws properly like they do in Sweden, punishing posession with hard labour, and prison.then use of this poison can be reduced by deterrence!
relarerfhjk 3 years ago
Refutaions (stating the bleeding obvious)
1., 2., 3. & 4. all happen whether or not cannabis is illegal.
5. Just shows how ignorant Margaret Hodge is.
6. Has nothing whatever to do with cannabis. For a highly- paid public servant, defending an unworkable and vastly expensive prohibition, to spout such a load of irrelevant garbage is truly embarrassing! No wonder we're in such a mess with morons like Margaret Hodge in charge of the UK.
snonskoid3 3 years ago
But there is no "expensive prohbition" in this country! Cannabis hasn't been illegal in britain for more than thrity years, because the police let off those they catch with a caution! A law that is not enforced, isnt a real law! IF we were to punish posession of the drug harshly,as they do very sucessfuly in Sweden, cannabis use would drop through the floor! Sweden began punishign posession years ago, and they now have the lowest rate of canabis use in Europe! So prohibition works!
relarerfhjk 3 years ago
Margaret Hodge is a Minister of the British Government. And the best arguments she can come up with are these. Cannabis, she says, should be illegal because:
1. Parents worry.
2. Young people get into debt.
3. Young people lose their aspirations.
4. Some young people get long term mental health problems.
5. She thinks drugs are incredibly dangerous, and
6. Five sex workers with addictions were murdered in Ipswich.

I know how to get cannabis legalised, vote!
BobbyTheGorilla 3 years ago
Or shall we just vote for something worthwhile instead.
garysvids 3 years ago
If it were YOU politicians wanted to lock up for up to five years (for a 'crime' that doesn't even have a victim) I think you might decide voting for your civil liberties was something worthwhile after all.
If you smoke pot stand up for your rights. Vote, but don't vote for any candidate that wants to put you in prison - ask the candidates and your MP what their views are, make legalisation a non-negotiable must do issue. And sign the LCA's 'Cannabis Vote Pledge' on the pledgebank website. :)
lcyt420 3 years ago
