It's really weird to think that about 23 years ago the GDR would be stopping everyone trying to get to West Germany, and now they can go as they please.
@combinownage ya i know right? and when you go there, there is like no evidence it even existed, like if you looked at an arieal shot you would not even know, because they built right through it all its so cool
@onglez i have a Christian friend lives there & a Relative & most of all my god protect me from anything so being afraid is last thing i'll think about
@uquph if you played call of duty WaW you would know its called an STG-44, quit being such an asshole and a racist and fire a REAL gun, not a peice of plastic on a controller ya twat!
My wife, son and I were just there for the first time in 20 years. My wife and I were there in 88 when the wall was still up and to walk trough the Brandenburger gate became very emotional for this American/Deutsche!
Berlin actually does have where the wall was outlined in either metal or bronze...I saw it when i was over there...it's inlaid into the street for the length of where it stood. It's an awesome city....I'd love to go back.
Reagan's speech at the Gate was great, it was a signal. But please read the facts about the east german peaceful revolution (wikipedia)!
Reagan's speech was in 1987. In 1989 there were mass demonstrations of more than 200,000 people in Leipzig and 150,000, when Gorbi visited east-Berlin in Octber 1989. At the end Schabowski made the mistake of his life on this press conference, which caused the the fall of the wall in the night 9/10 of november° Pres. Bush played a big part (see part 2:-)

they should have added a long bike path where the wall used to be. that would have been smart. like a long park.

Thank you, President Reagan.

That wasn't Reagans work alone.
Gorbachev, the east german revolution and Schabowski were involved too.
ruhri0411 4 years ago
Gee, ya think? For people that don't know squat, Regan SINGLE handed, no one else, tore down the wall. Please....
