  • omg cannot do it

  • @yadiencem

    Yes you can!

  • omh i cant i odnt no how to do it its caUSE MY GUITAR soun des so differnent and its electrick

  • @MsSelena2012

    Do not worry about sound.

Instead just make sure your fingers go where my fingers go.

It does not matter that you have an electric.

  • And i failed to mention this on my last comment but your not correct on either assumption i am very intellegent with a doctorates, and masters degree in music and i am good because ive won several guitar competitions and this will probably come across as rude but i dont mean it that way however you say youre good but in this video you cant really tell if you are or not perhaps you should post a cover of a song or better yet write your own and post it if you havent already

  • @churroviolet97

    Prove it!

Mention my screen name in the video and post it as a video reply here. Make sure to mention my screen name to prove that you didn't steal someone's video.

I will say this! There is no chance at all you will reply with a video mentioning my screen name and playing impressive guitar. NOT A CHANCE AT ALL.

I am that sure you are full of crap.

I dare you to prove me wrong.

And OMG your 14, your name is cj, and you speak spanish.

    LMFAO

  • I watched this video because even though ive been playing since i was 4 i enjoy seeing the different styles that guitarists incorporate into their playing and the sloppy habits i refered to previously are yyour finger spacing on the frets granted maybe it is the camera angle but it looks as if your fingers are actually on the frets instead of behind them

  • @churroviolet97

Wow my finger looked too far from the frets while teaching the most basic chords. And this comes from someone with a masters degree in music and winner of several guitar competitions?

How about instead of acting like some sort of guitar master you make some video's doing what ever you want to do and leave me alone. I spent lots of time making videos, editing them and posting them for the people that are interested in guitar.

What have you done? Nothing! But yet here you......

  • my hand's too small.

  • My fingers D: their too small.

  • Ive been playing guitar since i was 4 and its not that your not teaching it right you just have alot of sloppy habbits while playing you should work on correcting for better tone quality not trying to be rude or anything its just a suggestion

  • @churroviolet97

Those are not sloppy habits, its a lack of effort because this is like incredibly basic guitar.

If you have been playing since you were 4 why in the world are you watching this video?

How about explaining exactly what sloppy habits your talking about instead of generalizing.

If you can not see how good I actually am while watching this video then I have to say you probably are not that good or maybe just not that smart, not trying to be rube just making an observation.

  • Wow after reading that again its even funnier.

@Takerdeadman90 Let me start of by saying

    and

    @Takerdeadman90

    Your comment in incoherent.

How about you explain exactly what you think is wrong and I will correct you.

    Funny Stuff,

Who needs a TV with this kind of entertainment

  • You have pretty nails. o.O

  • @ashleighrae0311

I do them myself, thanks :p

  • @worldborg Bahaha, there lovely. Do mine??

  • @ashleighrae0311

You sing me a song and its a deal!

  • ..why are you so mean to everyone

  • @thisisjustmejenny

I am not mean to everyone. I do however entertain myself with people that leave rude comments.

If you will pick a specific user I might enjoy the opportunity to exploit their stupidity again and explain it.

Do you understand what everyone actually means?

Think you meant to some people? It makes the meaning completely different?

  • ummm that did not help :P

  • @misspinkflygirl

    maybe your too stupid

    maybe your too smart

    what are the odds

  • i new about this thing, how much chords do we need to know??

i just got guitar today,so i really want to learn it

  • @ParkAqua

    Its all about the chords!

    That's a good start.

  • i new about this thing, how much chords do we need to know??

i just got guitar today,so i really want to learn it :)

  • @worldborg you may be better looking and talented at art and guitars, but I am a professional nerd and win in that aspect.

  • @joblessalex

What's funny about that is I work on computer's for a lining too. I am pretty nerdy :p

  • my guitar teacher used to tell me this little tricks to be able to play the chords easier ,but it ain't right. If you want to learn you have to play them the right way,for example you won't be able to change between the chords quick..Just saying

  • @Takerdeadman90

    Your comment in incoherent.

How about you explain exactly what you think is wrong and I will correct you.

    Just saying? lame

How about explaining why your right and your teacher is wrong? lmao

Did you continue music and exceed your teachers level and abilities?

I am not doing it wrong and if you can post a coherent explanation of what it is you think I am doing wrong then I will explain why you are mistaken.

  • @worldborg 1) my comment is in what? What with the laywer talk in youtube

2)I am talking about the way everyone plays the guitar. The normal chords not the wierd one fingered tricks

    4)You talk too much

    3)Are you a troll?

  • @Takerdeadman90 Let me start of by saying, Why did you post this exact comment so many times? Dumb Ass! That is why I have to filter these comments, Dumb Ass! Answer to #1 What ? Answer to #2 What? Answer to #3 What? Are even old enough to have a youtube account? Are you just that stupid? Really???? You comments are so incoherent it is impossible to answer. How about you provide the exact time in the video where I am doing it wrong; Then everyone can see what an idiot you are. Your Dumb
  • @worldborg what the hell are you talking about. You sir sound gay.

  • @Takerdeadman90

    Thanks for making my point.

This is the only comment you have posted that is even understandable unfortunately it only exemplifies your ignorance. Unfortunately for you that is.

    Back to the point-

You said I am doing it wrong and I said explain exactly what I am doing wrong, then exactly what time in the video this occurs because your just too stupid to explain it.

You have nothing intelligent to say because your not intelligent. Your lame ignorant replies are getting old.

  • I will argue for the hell of it. You did nothing wrong, it's just that I need to hate you for something. Have a nice day!

  • @joblessalex

Well I am probably better looking, smarter and more talented than you. Hope that helps.

  • now i really dont wanna learn playing a guitar

  • @simplybase305

You would probably suck, glad I could help.

  • @simplybase305 Yes. It will inflate your ego.

  • i must say this helped me as much as a peice of paper helps itself

  • @bananadecosplit

Well it did help you feel better about your self thanks to your level of intelligence.

    Lucky your stupid huh.

  • @bananadecosplit

Unfortunately your cursing in your reply so I won't approve it. That along with fools advertising is why I don't have auto post turned on. Your people really suck by the way. Pathetic really -

Kids read this and I won't approve comments like that.

Any other stupid comments get approved just because it is funny to me that peoples vanity prevents them from realizing how ignorant they are, but these comments will be here forever as a reminder.

  • @worldborg Just asking.. where in his comment did he curse?! x

  • @M2Shab

I did not post the comment because of the cursing.

Kids read this stuff and I am not going approve comments with that kind of language. It was pretty stupid but unfortunately I can't post it.

  • I am appreciated for your Vids, but I finger down because of your ANGER MANAGEMENT. Please be nice to the people.

  • @UnitedKhmerPeople

    Your a dumb ass,

Did you read all the post or just my replies?

I do not give a crap about ratings. I made a video to help people learn to play and a bunch of dumb ass wannabe's leave ignorant arrogant comments. I put them in their place. If you are going to be one of the idiots I will do the same to you.

You want to run your mouth and act like I have a problem without even taking the time to read all the comments from start to finish. You think that's fair or stupid?

  • Okay, I'm a complete noob with guitars (actually I don't even have my own, I'm using my roommates till I can get one) and want to know: Are you supposed to press down on the metal bars on the fret board, or the spaces in between? He seems to be doing both... Is the first fret the space in between the very top of the guitar neck and the first metal bar, or the first bar itself?

  • @resevil2396

You will get the best sounds placing your finger just behind the fret (metal bar)

Depending on the chord and your own finger and hand dexterity you may or may not be able to put your finger in the right spot but that is the place you want to put it.

Not on top, not too far back, just behind the fret.

    Good Luck

  • @worldborg OK WE FREAKING GET IT NOW SHUT UP I DON'T CARE IF THIS IS UR VIDEO OR NOT JUST SHUT UP WITH THE COMMENTS FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, SURE YOU DON'T HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO FILL UR FREAKING COMMENTS, NOW SHUT UP!

  • @GangstaBunni3z

You don't have to read them you dumb ass. Congratulations on being stupider than other people. There is no reward but I wanted you to know we noticed.

  • @GangstaBunni3z

    What are you like 3?

Change your diaper and quit crying you stupid baby.

  • I had typed up a big comment proving you wrong, but it wouldn't send. So instead, I will just say... BE NICE TO PEOPLE! You won't get ANY views if you keep on being harsh. And also, yes. An idiot would say that you don't play it with three fingers on the second fret on the B, G and D strings. Look at the internet. Not ONE person says you play it the way you play it. And, you actually showed E at the start of the video.

  • @skullior

You actually only proved your ignorance of music and general stupidity by arguing with me about what fingers are used to play a chord. I mentioned that I played music professionally and for many years and you still trying to argue even though you obviously know very little about music and I am an experienced musician.

You came and posted an ignorant comment on my video and you were rude about it now you tell me not to be mean? Your stupid and need a hobby, shouldn't be guitar either

  • @skullior

It is actually well know among real musicians that is what makes this really funny!

  • @skullior

Here is a video of someone explaining what your are missing with regards to the A major chord:

I never post links but to find this after all your previous comments makes it worth the exception.

    youtu .be /QeHyeLMhYh8

Incase you are also too stupid to figure this out, copy and paste the link into the address bar and remove the spaces.

  • Before you teach C, D or even E, you say something like 'In my last video I taught the A chord' And then you play it with one finger. Well, my guitar teacher who has been playing I think since he was a kid (and he 29), and a google search proves that you are wrong. It is played all on the second fret, with your first three fingers. Your first finger goes on the D string, second finger on the G string and third finger on the B string. You strum the D, G, B and E strings.

  • @skullior

I play blues to I use the 1 finger A chord often. Blues players do this because it works well with the boogie woogie thing.

You would not play an A chord with the first three fingers if the next chord you were going to play was an A minor. In this case you would play the A chord without the first finger, using only the last three fingers.

Fingering positions are relevant to style, there is no wrong and right, there is easy and hard.

  • Once again, you are dumb. Before you teach C, D or even E, you say something like 'In my last video I taught the A chord' And then you play it with one finger.

  • @skullior

Why don't you ask your guitar teacher if it is alright to play an A chord with one finger laid across the four bottom strings, muting the bottom one.

It does not matter at all what finger you use to play the notes of a chord. It is the notes that make the chord and what fingers you use to play the notes has nothing to do with the chord being right. The notes make the chord right not the fingers used to play them. The fingers used are relevant to what else is being played.

  • Ignore the idiots in the comments. Not good to get down to their level!

Anyway, thanks for this. :) It's really going to help me. And it's nice to see help videos without the 'visit this site to pay for more lessons' crap.

  • @DESERVANT

It is nice to not have to deal with advertising.

I just enjoy the banter with idiots that are trying to act smart. I get them jacked up then ask for an intelligent explanation which is obviously not going to happen because they are wrong in the first place.

This last guy has done some sort of research and at least tried to be smart. Its a fail but A for effort F for research.

  • I can't learn how to play it's like freaking impossible for me!!!! I need basic cords step by step crap

  • @WakaWaka10121411

I have no idea how this could be any simpler.

    Good luck with that.

  • This pisses me off

  • That's not how you play A.

  • @skullior

For starters you are an idiot. Secondly, this video is teaching chords "C, D, and E"

Lastly I have played music for years and only an idiot would say that's not how to play an A.

Oh ya that was my first point.

  • @worldborg ive learned things from you

  • This was confusing and you even got confused :/ u should delete your messing up beginnings and as one person said not applying any theory.

  • @AlexiaSpeizer

Your an idiot and should kill yourself to ensure you do not reproduce.

You really I did this for fun and to help people?

I am not getting paid or trying to get subscribers or any thing like that. If this was about money it would be like other channels but since I am not getting paid and have no motives other that kindness I Just grab my guitar and hit record.

These are all one take video's

I hit record and use what I get. I do not remake them to be perfect becauase the are free

  • @worldborg no one should ever kill them selves.

  • @LillyILYLola

And a beginner that does not know anything about music or guitar should not be criticizing a professional musician because they are too stupid to understand instructions.

    It's ironic.

  • I could only get the E chord!

  • @SammyBoy757

That's the wonderful thing about video's

    Rewind!

  • worldborg, you should not be so angry at people who leave dorkish comments. it appear to go down to their level.

  • @philaboston

You see what you want to see and that makes you right.

I understand that you can not have an intelligent conversation with an idiot.

I am a teacher, so I teach. I can only hope that some of these idiots consider my responses.

  • This is so easy wow fail ( ´Д`)ノ(´・ω・`)

  • @SilenceEmoGirl1123

Oh wow your so cool, that you for posting a comment.

    NOT!

    I said not,

  • @worldborg ok?

  • @SilenceEmoGirl1123

    ya, um no

  • @worldborg and your not cool for acting like a kid

  • @SilenceEmoGirl1123

    ya neither are you

  • Comment removed

  • @SilenceEmoGirl1123

    that's funny,

care to clarify or can you?

How about telling the class exactly what I am playing wrong and how the right way to play it is?

    lmao

  • This is rlly easy to play. I have been playing for 5 years and when i started learning chords wow fail

  • @SilenceEmoGirl1123

So you use the word fail and insult people and think it makes you cool?

Maybe you should reconsider what it is to be cool.

  • This is rlly easy to play

I have been playing for 5 years and when i started learning chords wow fail

  • @SilenceEmoGirl1123

These lessons are meant for beginners interested in learning chords for the first time.

  • thanks man...i want to learn more.... keep it up

  • good for beginners

  • its a good video good for beginners

  • its a good video good for beg inners

  • Thank u

  • @jimiac4ever

    Welcome

  • The Intro is really BAD!

  • @TonyF273

You say that like its a fact and you are the person that defines what is good and what is bad when in fact that is just your opinion.

    Your comment is really STUPID!

    See how that works?

  • im a beginner, i paid 85 bucks for estaban lessons dvd and this is by far the best video i have found, hope you have more, i like the way you have it up close so i can see the strings.. your a great teacher. Im a bad student lol, but you are a great help.. can you make some more videos? very simple ones, like can you make some with maybe 2 basic chords at a time so my brain can get it all in?? LOL

  • @garrettmaria74

My life is pretty busy but I will certainly make some more when I can.

    Glad my videos helped.

  • hey buddy,,,,,,,,,nice one bt hw r u striking those strings....so systematically...can u upload such videos of that..................

  • @jgsonofgod76

i really don't have time currently to make video's

barely time to respond to comments.

Luckily there are tons of instructional videos now.

  • @garrettmaria74 which estaban?

  • why doesn't my guitar sound like urs!!!!

  • @metoooization

well when I decided to do these lessons I was not thinking it threw. I was just grabbing a video camera and demonstrating where to place your fingers for the basic chords. My guitar is tuned a half step down because I play a lot of jimi hendrix for fun. Since he tunes a half step down my guitar is tuned a half step down also.

Just get the finger placement and you will be playing the right chord. There are tons of lessons online now so it should be easy.

  • @metoooization

my guitar is tuned a half step down for playing along with jimi hendrix

  • @lilmssunshine1000

Also what the hell are you doing running around being a critic of guitar videos that people post?

If you ain't paying then you sure should be running your mouth complaining. So what have you done for the youtube community beside talk bad about good videos? You going to contribute to the community or just be a jerk to people that are kind enough to take the time out of their busy schedules to try and help people they don't know just to be kind, NO OTHER REASON.... You=pathetic

  • @lilmssunshine1000

you are an idiot, I played music professionally for years and have recorded with some of the best producers and engineers in Nashville. You want to act like you know what your talking about but you are talking out your ass and the only people that would think you know anything are beginners that don't know enough about music to realize what a dumb ass you actually are. This is a great video, the A and B were reviews, this was teach C, D, and E chords , Read the title.

  • Is it just me, or does anyone else hear The Circle of Life from the Lion King when he plays the C chord bit after teaching?

  • Is it bad if this taught me more than a $40 booklet on how to play with dvd's include? Lol. Thanks, man!! Really appericate it. my dad told me i can't get lessons on how to play... until I learn how to play.

  • Different guitars can sound different even if they are tuned to the same key

Thank you for putting up these videos I can't afford lessons but I need to learn asap to play acoustic on sets.. (im a singer) so I appreciate u taking the time to make the videos =] people don't get that u don't learn guitar overnight! It takes practice and calloused fingers lol plus a shitload of passion =]

So if ur gonna be a douchebag then U learn the guitar an when u master it put up ur own Damn videos! K than

  • Great Job!

  • how long are you gonna tell us how to play the C chord -__-

  • @bigclassclown219

Why bother leaving a comment to be a d*ck?

    I ain't getting paid dumb*ss.

When I put this video up there was not 1000's of other videos up. I just grabbed my guitar and made a few videos to help people interested in learning.

    What a douchebag

FYI Some people are slow to catch stuff and appreciate the fact that I really take the time to explain things in detail and slowly. They are called beginners and these lessons were created for them not you.

  • @worldborg lol thank you man, going slow and not rushing it really helped me kinda get the hang of it

  • @worldborg Thanks for posting. Keep it going.

  • dear sir. pls show the sound hole also ...coz iam new to guitar

  • I had no problems with this video lesson, and this is the... third? time I've ever picked up a guitar. If you have something positive to say, do so. If you're going to be an asshole, just shut up and bite your tongue.

  • You realize that your saying I'm ignorant? Apparently you have the capability of knowing how one is expressing themselves via typing?? I read thru all the posts on your so called "teachings" and well it looks like I'm not the only that beleivesd this to be beyond beginner. Anyone can claim they can teach but few are actually good at it.

  • @rcpartsbreaker

You realize you still didn't explain your comments?

If you read through all the post did you notice many beginners understood the video.

I played music professionally for over 10 years, Yes you are stupid for saying I am playing something wrong. This post confirms my earlier statement. You are obviously a dumb ass and too stupid to realize how stupid you are.

Get a life and a clue.

Yes I am a very good teacher.

  • @worldborg

No Your Not A Very Good Teacher, And I Agree With 'rcpartsbreaker' This Is To Hard For A Beginner, And It Doesnt Matter How Long You Have Been PLaying.. You Are Still Bad. Its Like If Someone Was Singing For 10 Years They Could Still Be A Bad Singer! IDIOT!!!

  • @MsKatycupcake

You are agreeing with someone talking about something they know little about and it only makes you look like an idiot too. I clearly explain where to put your fingers and show you as well. There is no way to make it any easier. If you think that is hard then you are not going to make it as a guitar player because you do not have enough passion. Maybe you want to learn how to play mary had a little lamb or twinkle little star. That is the only step lower than this. You pretty dumb

  • @MsKatycupcake

I wish you were smart enough to know how stupid you are, I can not even explain what a stupid post you made because you simply can't understand.

If you do not know what you are talking about you shouldn't talk about it like you do, it only makes you look stupid to those that do know about the subject.

  • @MsKatycupcake If you are having a hard time with his teaching methods, then just stop arguing with the guy and go to another video. There is no point in fighting a winless battle. If he has had success teaching his way, then there is no stopping him. Plus, if you yourself don't know how to play the guitar, how would you know if he's good or bad to begin with? He must be better than you, or else you wouldn't be watching his video.

  • @mahoromaticfan15

Good point, there are many other videos.

Thing is different people like to learn different ways.

Some people can understand my videos but have hard time with others and visa/versa

There is certainly no need to complain about something free. That is ridiculous, it is pretty simple to click the next link.

  • is your guitar tuned a half step down?

  • @punkrockerdania

Yes it is. The is mainly because I play with Jimi Hendrix recordings a lot and he tunes half a step down.

  • I don't get what u mean about playing b........could u please explain coz I really want 2 learn.......thanx if u do xx

  • @SilentSarahxoxo

You will have to explain your question a little more for me to answer it.

  • this is confusing, my guitar sounds nothing like that and it's tuned properly, it just squeaks

    :?

  • @Franakay

It is a common practice for blues musicians to play half a step lower than standard tuning.

I am tuned a half step down.

  • I kept mixing up my fingers too. but this help me a lot. Thanks !

  • @RUSTUPIDNOW

    Very Welcome

  • I love this. I teach piano to kids, and I have the uncanny ability to confuse myself as well. Thanks for this. SO much help for me to teach my 17 year old daughter how to play. You are so cool! Thank you Brian.

  • @anonymouswillpower

    You re very welcome.

  • Brian Newbie in Guitar here loved ur video and practising the same :) cheers mate..but still facing problem changing chords can you please guide

  • @vishal6099

Just practice. Repetition is the key.

  • What's your guitar?

  • @GunMeat

it is a seagull- spruce top

  • @worldborg Sounds very sweet. And the strings?

  • @GunMeat

    Diadario probably

  • I have the same problem, I always mix up fingers and the strings doesn't give the proper sound, any help or advice appreciated.

I love to play guitar, but this annoys me.

  • @lambadio

there is only one way, practice a lot.

  • when did A sharp get into the alphabet? lol

  • Thanks. im only 11, but i am really inspired by the sound of a guitar. Can you please help me, though?

When i'm doing a D chord I get my 2 top fingers mixed up, and i always want to drop my fingers down the the next strings, and it sounds like a screwed up B chord. And is there a certain fret i need my fingers placed on for a clear sound? (For the song Amazing Grace) I need to know! I have a show coming up. ~AzLiana

  • @DarkPrincess942

One thing that might help is placing your thumb in the middle of the back of the neck of the guitar.

Then hold the chord and play each string one at a time and make sure it rings. Once you can hold the chord and make each string ring your chord will be sounding good.

You might also consider using light strings as they are much easier to play on.

I just through this stuff up years ago and did not rally consider how many people would actually be using them.

  • @worldborg Thanks. Do you know how to replace strings? (Sorry if i'm bothering u)

  • @DarkPrincess942

Of course I do and it's no bother, I enjoy helping people if i can.

I will try and make a video of how to string a guitar. A tuner and key winder will make it much easier.

  • cool!!!!

  • what is the name of you guitar? who make it?

  • @alimoise

    seagull - spruce

  • well i'm only just learning, and i think your chords were a great help. since i cant afford lessons, i'm really glad i came across this! thanks for all the help :D

  • someone please help me. im learning how to play guitar, but heres the problem, no matter how i put my fingers, they all touch the string right below it and it sounds all scratchy, what should i do?

  • @deathmetaldude1

Try placing your thumb in the middle of the guitar neck so that you can really curve your fingers and prevent them from touching the strings underneath them.

  • @worldborg i know it sucks in the beging cause your wrist starts to hurt. but you get used to that

  • @deathmetaldude1 keep at it repetition is the key also try finger exorcises stretch be for running kind of thing its how the pros are every day till it becomes a second nature

  • notice he also uses one finger for the a chord............WRONGGGG!

  • @rcpartsbreaker

You obviously do not no enough about music to understand how stupid your post is but I would love for you to explain your comment in musical theory. I also noticed you offer nothing to the youtube community other that your ignorance. How about making some tutorials of something you understand to help people that are interested in learning instead of running around making an ass out of yourself.

  • @worldborg dude this suppose to be bigginer this is even easy js

  • after i learn all the chords i had a urge to slam my guitar on the floor hard o-o.. is tat normal? XD

  • @yami503 It takes many years to become proficient

  • @yami503 yesh

  • @yami503 so do i hahaaah failll. xD

  • great lesson but my fingers are killing me at this point...........arg. how to remember all those strings too.

  • @techframer714 the more you play you will get calluses on your fingers then it's not to bad.

  • Great lesson thanx :-)
