Well the thing is i couldn't find binaries folder was because the setup thing wasn't working so that's why..

And i have to complete the setup thing before i can get the binaries folder so i can play borderlands lvl 22 support gunner ftw!

dude, Im sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but shader model 3.0 isnt a software, it is a hardware dependant set of instructions... in less words, you need a better video card in order to run the game, ati x800 , or geforce 9600 at least!

well i installed all 8 downloads, unzipped them to make 1 big file i guess, then unzipped that and it all is installed but when i try to run the application it almost starts then just says and error occured and caused the program to close.

im am not impressed

install al 8 parts into a folder on youre desktop, extract part on into the same folder, extract the gold cd(you need power iso) into the same folder again, run setup, after that u will hav a folder in your program files named 2k games, cut and paste the 2 items from the crack file located in the desktop folder to your borderlands folder, replace the other file named borderlands, enjoy

see where the game shortcut leads you, that folder is the binaries folder, or if you are lazy go to windows search and type binaries eventually a folder with that name should appear i guess

but did you install the game? because the folder is created when the game its installed, use your borderlands shortcut on your desktop , see its properties, shortcut tab, and press the button that says "find target" the opening folders its binaries!

For some reason I still can't extract it. I'm running Windows 7 and I've tried to use Winrar, Winzip, and 7-zip. None will fully extract it. It does it half way, then says it's encountered problems during this operation.

Dude the steps to install are very simple check them to see if you make any mistake:

1)download all 8 files.

2)extract part number 1 to a folder, it will extract an iso file.

3)Open the iso file with winrar and put all the content in a separate folder.

4)Run the installation program, install the game.

5) after the game has been installed, copy ALL THE CONTENTS from crack folder and paste into the binaries folder of the game (where the .exe is located)

And i have no binaries folder at all. theres only the borderlands folder and other stuff and then crack folder..

I press the application out of the crack folder it dissapears in a split second

So i try the one in the crack same thing happens i have done all the steps but just bullshit is my results.. :(

Ok, so here's what I did. All you have to do is download the 8 part rar file, extract it somewhere (it should just be 1 large iso file). Then open the iso file (I just used winrar), and extract everything into a new folder. Run the .exe, and after the setup is done go into the crack folder, and copy the .exe and .dll file into the binaries folder, and use that same .exe to enter the game.

In relation to the failed to find default engine.ini file problem, Go to windows firewall and Make an Exception for your Cracked Borderlands EXE. Hope this helps !
